Milo took Nefertiti and headed down the building and out into a limo. He got inside and waited for Nefertiti to join him. Once inside, the driver began to go. "Before we begin your education, I will say this. Firstly, your acquaintance has informed me of Carmilla's fate. You are not to speak of it. If asked, feign ignorance. If there is no body, there is no proof and you are cleared of suspicion. This is my first lesson to you.

 We are heading to close out my party. Every Kindred in the city is currently there. You are not to speak to them right now as I have not yet had the chance to instruct you on Kindred etiquette. If you are spoken to, be polite. Insulting a Kindred, regardless of their station, is the same as a declaration of war and Kindred hold grudges for centuries. You will find that most Kindred will behave much the same as Carmilla if slighted, so, unless you have both the resources to spend on that fight and the desire to expend them, politeness even when angry is required. This is my second lesson to you."

Nefertiti followed Milo out of the building and into a very large metal moving box.  She took a seat and listened to him as he gave his teachings to her.  For a moment she didn't understand what was going on but then she had to speak up.

"Do you think it would be prudent if I ask to not attend this party. she showed her arm and leg to him as he can see that most of her flesh has been removed from her body.  "I'm sure one of the Elders there may be wise enough to know that this is a result of Carmilla's power and it could bring up even more conversations in my direction.

Nefertiti was no fool and she didn't wish to be around any Kindreds at this moment, so she was hoping to find a way to avoid being around them.

"Would you have a spare small room for me to ponder my thoughts alone? she asked

 Milo nodded. "That was the idea, yes. However, you will be staying in one of the rooms in the building where the party was held. Thus there is always a chance for accidental interaction.

 … which brings me to my next topic. Most younger Kindred ignore this custom but those who are a few hundred years old or more still abide by it. If a Kindred introduces himself or herself by full name and lineage, you are expected to do so as well.

 You will respond with your full name, clan, and your Sire. In your case, you will refer to me as your 'acting Sire' so as not to confuse. Care to give it a try?"

Nefertiti's eyebrow arched slightly at the mentioning of her full name she stood there for a moment and wondered how was the right way of saying such a title.

"Nefertiti, Daughter of Amenhotep I
 looking at Milo for a moment as she thought of what Clan she was, was she even a member of a Clan "What clan do I say, seeing that I'm not of any clan that is known of these days.  Alfred informed me of such things when he was taking out my soul.

 Milo smiled ever-so-slightly. "Then say it. Claiming a lost Bloodline is a boon to your status, if used correctly. Just be sure not to try bringing it up in casual conversation. You will come across as pretentious if you do."

Nefertiti began to speak up again

"I am "Nefertiti, Daughter of Amenhotep I, of Clan Tremere, acting Sire Milo she stopped again and asked "What is your full name or would Milo be adequate.

 Milo blinked at you a couple times "Tremere?"

 He suddenly burst into a fit of laughter but he raised a hand and quickly regained his composure. "I'm sorry, it's just that your clan and mine were mortal enemies during the centuries leading up to the demise of both. The irony that we are now acting Sire and Childe is a bit much."

 He chuckled again, still amused but made an effort to reclaim his previous demeanor. "In all other social situations, you are to refer to me as simply 'Milo'. Only in this specific circumstance are you to use my real name.

 I am Vlad Tepes Dracul IV of Clan Tzimisce, Son of Vlad Tepes Dracula III, Childe of Valeria Dracul, former king of Wallachia and founder of the noble house of Drakwla."

Nefertiti's eyebrow arched when Milo began to burst out in laughter.  It seemed that this joke was a private one for himself since the history of the Kindred was a blank sheet to her.  That would be something that Milo himself would have to rectify.

She listened to his full name and it meant nothing to her for the timeline that she was born was before most of any history these Kindreds would know of. She was old, she was very old but no one would ever truly understand what she is dealing with.

With her question answered she still had to wonder if he was going to force her to go to the party or not.  An accidental interaction may be highly impossible if she was able to lock herself in a room.  And she still had the power of doing so without a key.  She smiled to him for he didn't know of all her special abilities and in time she would surely grow to learn more.  Ones that would hinder the act of knowing her location by any synthetics.  Plus she needed to return back to Egypt to see what all she can uncover and then there was that nasty cult of Isis she needed to deal with...... Cult.. She did start one of her own and she would need to find new followers to enhance her Powers of Divinity.

 The moving metal box turned in front of a large, 7 story building. It was much larger in width than many of the buildings and there were lights in many of the windows. "One last thing before we get out. I gave mine out of respect that you gave yours, but including your mortal lineage or accomplishments as a mortal are generally considered to be both bad form and a sign of weakness.

 Those who carry mortal attachments into their dealings with other Kindred are considered easy prey by many."

 As the moving box parked, she could see why Milo said that there could be accidental interactions. There were Kindred outside in the front yard talking and they all seemed to have spread out over the entire complex. "It will take a few days for me to prepare a room befitting a Childe of mine, so you will need to make due with a guest room for the time being. Now, do not forget that I am only to be addressed as 'Milo', don't speak unless spoken to, and I will work to get you to a guest room as quickly as I can."

 As they made their way to the door, they were greeted with polite nods and waves.

 They made it through the front door and found that there were many more Kindred on the bottom floor. "Hey Milo!"

 When Nefertiti turned, she beheld what was perhaps the most repulsive creature she'd ever seen. Not only that, he stank like the sewers. Milo turned to greet him with a polite smile and a hearty handshake. His demeanor changed almost instantly, "John! It's good to see you. I hope you're enjoying the party?"

 "It's great. I haven't had real Vitae in nearly a month. The artificial stuff can only get you so far. So, I finally got my shop up and running. You think we can trade some favors and you can do something about... this?"

 He waved his hand in front of his face as if to indicate it. "And who's this?"

 Milo grinned. "The Prince asked me to be a foster Sire for this one. She was the one Carmilla was after but it seems Victor and Carmilla have solved their differences now. I'll tell you what, get the word out that the Blood Hunt is off and I'll help you out. Just be aware that I can't get rid of everything. You know how it is with bloodline flaws."

 John nodded and grinned a sharp, toothy smile. "Sure thing Milo! So, when should I be over?"

 Milo made his appointment and continued on. Fortunately, they were able to get to an unoccupied spare room before he was stopped again. It was sparse, with only a bed and a dresser. The closet was filled with an assortment of clothes in varying sizes. "You should be able to find something to wear other than a tarp in there."

Nefertiti looked at Milo before exiting the metal box "Do you have any others that claim to be your Childe? she asked in a curious manner to know more about him and in time she was sure to discover more when he was willing to share.

Nodding her head on the fact that she can only call him Milo.

Nefertiti looked at John with a sweet smile as she inspected his problem, the good thing is that she stopped breathing once Alfred turned her into a Kindred so the smell that was lingering in the air didn't effect her but with a tilt of her head and closely looking at his face she wondered what was his Bloodline curse.

When they made it to the sparse room she looked to see if there was an a jointed room where she could bath. "This is perfect till your able to achieve a room fitting for your foster Childe. she replied then waited for him to leave before moving to the bed.

Once he was gone she moved to first lock the door, if there was a way of locking it and moved to the bed.  Laying down she looked up to the ceiling and then closed her eyes briefly as she wanted to see if she was able to use her Divine Powers to start the healing process of her flesh at a speeding rate. (Demonic healing Powers)

This would give her some sort of understanding if she still possessed some of her Divine Powers and she also needed to learn how to advance some of them to make herself more Powerful for what ever is to come in the future.

 Milo nodded. "I did, but the Tremere killed them all."

 He gave Nefertiti a slight bow as he turned to leave. As she tried (and failed) to heal her body, she could hear the sounds of moving outside. The room had a small bathroom and shower complete with miniature travel soaps and shampoos (not that Nefertiti had any real idea how to use them).

 After another hour or so, the sounds had faded and all that remained were the echoes of a space far too large for two people.

Nefertiti looked at him with as sadden face, but she also wondered why would it bring a laughter out of him if the Tremere killed all his children.  Just knowing that she possess the bloodline that killed all his Children was interesting, but not funny.  But then again Fate has a way of changing ones life.  Surely she was an example of that.

Once a follower of Isis, an Lector Priestess.  Then an Kindred tried to turn her into one of them.  But failed and caused her death.  Then to awaken many centuries later as a demi-goddess, to have that removed to be a mortal mage and now she ends up as a Kindred.  Trapped to walk the nights and never in the daylight like Sal.  It slightly brought a bit of anger in her eyes just the thought of Sal and his betrayal.

The Cabal - she took a while to think on that and if she was really a member of it anymore.  Was she to return to them and help them in whatever crazy mess that Talion might place them in.  Her head shook "no".

With the failure of trying to heal her wounds only meant that this process would take a very long time to heal, and if she continued to heal using her Vitae then she would soon need to replenish what she has lost.  Her eyebrow arched as she remembered that John mentioned that he was glad that the party had real Vitae.  She would have to ask Milo for some of that when she sees him the next night.  Letting him know that his foster Childe was hungry.

The night was surely ending soon and then daylight would be upon them.  Taking a moment to look through the closet at the clothing available to her.  Placing a nice dress upon the bed while she then moved to run water to wash the grim off her bones and face.  Afterwards she then wore something light for her resting time and placed the dress back into the closet not to ruin its cleanliness.

 Daytime came and Nefertiti fell into a deep slumber, awakening when the sun had set fully. From her room, she could hear the sounds of people downstairs.

 OOC: this one is short, I know but you have the option to explore or look into the sounds :P

Nefertiti rises the next night and expends a few more of her Vitae to continue the healing process and to wake from a night of rest.  It seemed that there was a lot for her to deal with and understand and she needed to speak with her adopted Sire before her hunger gets the best of her.

Putting on the dress that she picked out and searching for a pair of long sleeved gloves to help hide her skeletal arms.  The dress was full length to the ground so it helped to hide her legs which was the main thing she was hoping to do.

She stood at her door and allowed herself to enhance her senses to see if she can hear what is going on before opening the door.

Activating Heightened Senses

Trying to determine if the sounds are from more Kindreds continuing the party from last night or a chance to hear if they are the cleaning crew.

 As she drew nearer to the source of the sound, she could hear Milo making small talk with an individual she did not recognize. Should she look, she would sense immediately that the person was human and not Kindred.

 The room he was in was a setup filled with lights and mirrors with various implements she did not recognize. However, their use was easy to surmise. He was using them to tattoo the individual in the chair. There were also implements for the cutting and styling of hair nearby. It seemed Milo had a regular job outside of his dealings with the Kindred.

 Once he put the finishing touches on his tattoo, collected his money, and the man left, he approached Nefertiti. "Good evening. I trust you slept well? That dress suits you nicely. Now, is there anything you would like to ask before we get started?"

Nefertiti listened and was intrigued at the fact that a human was in the place. She wasn’t sure which floor the room that Milo gave her was on. But as she made her way downstairs she waited till the human was gone before making herself visible.

“Good evening to you as well.  I did have a nice restless sleep and the dress is most appropriated. taking a moment to look at the gloves for hiding her arms.

Her eyebrow arched at the question for there was plenty of questions she wanted to ask. But the first one “Would you happen to have any extra real Vitae for me. I don’t want to cause any trouble if I become hungry. I seem to be expended most to heal my body of its recent encounter.

 Milo nodded. "I do, but not much remains after the party. You see, it was necessary to obtain such a shipment to entice the Kindred to gather and nearly all of it was consumed during the two nights they were here. I should have enough for you tonight, but you will need to switch to artificial blood substitute after this until you can secure some feeding stock. It is what I've been consuming myself."

 Milo lead her upstairs and into a walk-in cooler (just like he had said, it was nearly empty) and gave her a pouch filled with blood.

 As she drank, Milo spoke. "This place is my home. It also serves as the place where I entertain guests. I also run a business here. My employees are ghouls, humans who have consumed my vitae. They run the day to day affairs of my business. They are barbers, tattoo artists, and plastic surgeons. I'm only generally called to fix botched jobs... not from my people, mind you, they are all quite well trained... but from other businesses who, for whatever reason, could not live up to their customer's expectations.

 The humans who come here are just regular people. Make certain to hide your nature from them."

Nefertiti looked at Milo when he mentioned the artificial blood, giving a nod for she remembered how they were first drinking it at Sal's party till she offered to give a few drops of her blood to make more.  The thought of Sal's party also brought up memories of the God Sariel.  She needed to contact him only for talking not to summon him.

"That would be appreciated, Milo she replied as she followed him to where it was located.

Again she nods her head to make sure to hide her true nature from any humans that might be present.  It was a simple task but it called for using Vitae.  It seemed that her now found life will be requiring a lot of Vitae.  Taking a soft breath she then looked at Milo.  Taking sips from the bag she was pleased of the taste right away but still she had to get used to drinking it cold.

The time with the werewolves was interesting, and that they had bag of blood on hand. Maybe she needed to reach out to them and make some sort of business preposition. But again, that blood was very intoxicating.  She smiled

Milo mentioned a few things and she didn't fully understand what a barber, tattoo artist and plastic surgeon was but she would have time to look that up in books.

"Do you happen to know of a nice place where I might be able to consider as a Haven when I'm am able to leave? she asked but in truth she wanted to seek out Carmilla's lair for any Rituals or Spells that she might be capable of learning.

 As he exited the cooler, he began to head downstairs to the foyer. "We'll worry about that when I've made sure that you can navigate Kindred properly. Since most of the city has been damaged, a renovation is likely to take several weeks and I still need to set you up with contacts and find out what you're good at so that you can start accumulating money and favors for yourself.

 Most interactions between Kindred are transactional. Those that are not are territorial. Sometimes they're both. Unless you have something to trade such as Goods, Services, of Favors, you will get absolutely nowhere in Kindred society.

 I provide services in exchange for favors and I trade those favors to Kindred to get what I need. So tell me, what kinds of things are you good at? What can you make or provide for others that can earn you favors?"

Nefertiti was raised up as a princess that was also a member of the cult of Isis, she never really had much to think about and her life was already planned out for her by the Pharaoh, her father.  Her skills were focused on those task and she never really learned how to do any skillful things, which the servants were trained.

"I do not know what I would be good at, there never was time for me to focus on such things. I was a Lector Priestess.  Taking care of the needs our Goddess was my duties. she replied and took another moment to think on herself.

What was she good at doing? She was capable of casting powerful spells now that Alfred did what he did to her.  She was good at getting people to tell them their darkest secrets and she was even able to dance good.

She was way beyond normal with her unearthly beauty and she could also heal the wounds of another or diseases.  That was a special gift of hers but it also had a cost.

 Milo paused and turned to look at Nefertiti. "Well, now you have all the time in the world to learn something. Unskilled Kindred get only grunt work: deliveries, dangerous and illegal jobs, jobs that only expendable people get. Granted, those can net you some major favors but I personally find the thought of someone in my care being treated as expendable to be unacceptable. Still, it's your choice. If you choose to try your hand at a craft or profession, I'll see to it that the materials and knowledge are made available to you.

 For now, we're going to a 24 hour furniture store. We'll pick out furnishings for your room. The guy on shift tonight knows about us but anyone else that might be there does not. try to keep attention to yourself minimal. I'll handle anyone who gets too curious."

 He handed her $2,000. "Courtesy of the Prince. This is your limit. Any money you get beyond this will be what you earn for yourself."

 He turned and headed out the door, holding the door open for her for both the building and the limo.

Nefertiti looked at Milo as he told her about the Kindred society and how she will need to learn how to work her way around it.

There was something she wanted to learn, and it had to do with Time.  She wanted to find a way to help Michael live a bit longer.

"Milo you seem to be a well knowledgeable Kindred.  Do you know of all the types that exist? she asked as they made their way out of the building and into the big box.

When he handed her the money she looked at it as if "what"
"What is this?  Paper from the Prince for me to do what.

 Milo shook his head. "There are so many variants and bloodlines across the world that it would take someone specialized in the topic to know all the answers. I do know most of the more common ones and the ones that I am likely to encounter during my night-to night business. Why do you ask?"

 When she puzzled over the paper, he paused and furrowed his brow and chuckled. "This is money. We no longer weigh money by weight. Instead, we use 'denominations'. The number printed on the piece of paper denotes its worth."

Nefertiti smiled to him "I want to make sure I don't upset any of the Elders that I may meet during my long life span. Plus as you mentioned yesterday that my bloodline destroyed yours so I should know more about the past that I didn't get to live.

"Intriguing.  I guess I must learn more about this new money system as well.  I'm not sure if your aware but I'm very new to all this  she waves her hand lifestyle.

Looking down at the money that was given to her she wondered where was she suppose to place it during the night.  Was she to hold on to it always.

 "Very good. You really only need to learn the five Primary clans. You may insult someone from a well-known clan if you know nothing... but Bloodlines are a bit more obscure and even the most obnoxious Elder can hardly fault someone for not knowing an obscure bloodline.

 We'll start with Ventrue. Ventrue are the leaders, the movers and shakers of Kindred society. They wear authority like a mantle and are adept at swaying the hearts and minds of mortals.

 Next is Gangrel. They are creatures of savage cunning and one of the few clans that thrive on the outskirts of cities. They are often the least reliant on civility and often come across as crass or vulgar. Still, there are some who rise above their baser nature and they are often incredibly valuable allies. The 'someone' I mentioned earlier specialized in Kindred bloodlines is a Gangrel.

 Next is Daeva. They have a craving for art and beauty. They will always be the ones wearing the most extravagant fashion or drawn to any piece of art or new music. The Daeva are some of my best customers because of this.

 Next is the Nosferatu. The vampiric curse manifests in their flesh or spirits, making mortals uncomfortable around them or sometimes frightening them outright. John was one such individual. However, there are few Kindred better at finding or obtaining something you need.

 Lastly is the Mekhet. There are not many Mekhet in the city and, were I to guess, I would say that your Tremere Bloodline would be an offshoot of the Mekhet since they originated in Egypt.


 As far as bloodlines go, the only one I would recommend that you learn is Bruhah. Remember what I said about some Gangrel being crass and vulgar? The Bruhah take that to an entirely new level. They are a bloodline founded on violence, bred through violence, an ruled by violence. There are a lot of them in the city but very few in the Camarilla. If you meet one, be very careful around them."

Nefertiti listened closely to each word and from what she was understanding would place the Prince and Milo as a Ventrue and Carmilla could possibly be Daeva. John was confirmed to be a Nosferatu. Hearing that she would be considered a Mekhet made a sparkle in her enchanting green eyes. She repeats the Clan out loud “Mekhet with a soft smile.

“When I’m asked of what Clan I belong to. Should I still refer myself as Tremere or Mekhet?  That is if I don’t wish to share my Bloodline. I’m sure there will be other members of your clan bloodline that would not be so kind of mine. she asked as they rode to the shop.

“Do you happen to know of any Mekhets in the city so that I could meet..  Once I’m able to fully understand the Kindred society?

 "You could introduce yourself as either... but Mekhet do not have shadows. Since you have one, someone may try to call your bluff... and you needn't worry about offending my clan. I'm the only Tzimisce in the New York Camarilla.

 If you ever DO meet another of my clan, run. Don't talk, don't fight, just get away and come find me. If you can't get to me, go find Victor. Tzimisce are very dangerous and most openly abuse their gift, making them a walking breach of the Masquerade. They are able to make permanent changes to the body that Kindred cannot heal. If they wee to cut of a piece of you or wound you in some way, that change would be permanent unless another Tzimisce healed you. It is why I am always fighting off bad rumors."

Nefertiti nods her head in agreement to find him or Victor if she ever meets a Tzimisce in New York.

She was also wondering why did Carmilla spread a rumor that he was involved with the demon heads in the underground pipes that they fought.  Was he even capable of making such foul creatures.

Wondering why he didn't reply to her last question, but that could wait.  As they pulled up to the store she looked out at the building.

 The building in question was a large warehouse repurposed into a store. Much of the furniture had mild water damage (likely due to the massive storm) so all merchandise was marked with tags reading "clearance". Above the prices were much higher prices that had been marked through.

 Milo went to talk to the cashier, leaving Nefertiti to peruse the wares. Many of the higher prices (the ones that had been marked through) were for more than money than she had. However, she had more than enough to purchase a decent set of furniture at the lower prices.

 She was more or less alone in the store, allowing her to peruse freely.

Nefertiti entered the building and allowed her eyes to gaze around at all the items that were visible.

As she perused through the store there were many things that she didn't know what would be used for and she didn't want to over step her own bounders.  Looking only for a nice bed that she would use to sleep in and a desk that was old looking but not too damaged.

After picking the two items she moved to Milo and showed him what she would like to add into her room.

"There isn't much here that I would want.  But these two items would do nicely for now. she said as she didn't even know how large of a room she was going to be given and if it had windows and a balcony to sit upon on nights.

 Milo raised an eyebrow but smiled. "Are you certain? Very well."

 Milo showed Nefertiti how to pay for the items and the cashier was patient with her and kind, promising to have the furniture delivered within the week.

OOC: you have $1,300 left.

 Milo led her back to the limo. "Next, we're going to see an associate of mine named Wallace. He's Mekhet, and a regular customer of mine. I spoke to him earlier and he has agreed to a meeting with you. This is your first test. I wish to see how well you can interact with Kindred society. You will be negotiating with him for your new Haven... so how well you perform here will determine what kind of Haven you receive.

 In addition, he has a Childe of his own named Markus. He is young and mouthy. He is likely to offend you so you will also be tested on how to maintain your composure when dealing with him."

Nefertiti was polite to the cashier as he took the money, she watched how you placed it into a metal box that he touched buttons to open.  Her eyes wondered around the store for a bit to see if there was anything else but she didn't see nothing.

Then she followed Milo out of the store and back into the moving box.  "Do I have to be nice to his Childe as well, if he is disrespectful to me can I put him to sleep? she asked with a smile then letting out a breath of air.  She didn't like the Kindreds and to be facing two was going to test her own patients.  One being mouthy would only make her want to strike him down.  She waited to hear what response she got from Milo about putting him to sleep.

Then again, if she wish to rule New York on day she might need to face such trials for the people.  Or will she return back to Egypt and rule her homeland.  So many choices.

 "If you escalate from words, then Markus will be free to escalate as well. Do not assume that your powers will always work on Kindred. Consider VERY carefully as to whether you have the resources to spend on a grudge with Markus and whether you are truly willing to expend them over something as trivial as a mouthy Childe... even if he was the one to start it.

… or whether speaking to Wallace on the matter after the fact would not earn you both more respect and leave you less likely to start a feud."

Nefertiti nods her head in respect to not causing any feud from Wallace and she is sure to meet Markus out in the city where his mouth may be better dealt with.

"I will try my best to be cordial with Markus if he becomes mouthy. she replied.

"Would it be rude if I asked to be excused for a moment?

 Milo signaled to stop the limo, allowing Nefertiti to exit the vehicle and have some privacy. "Don't take long. Being late is considered to be bad form."

Nefertiti didn't exit the limo but looked at Milo "I was speaking of when Markus is annoying me.

 The limo started up once more. "It is unlikely that Markus will antagonize you in Wallace's presence but there is no shame in removing yourself from the presence of those you find odious. However, do not let my warnings dissuade you from making your own impressions of him.

 It may be that the things he says will not annoy you at all. There is a distinct difference between the sensibilities of Elders and Fledglings."

Nefertiti nods again "Very well.  I do look forward in meeting Wallace and Markus on this interesting night. she replied as she allowed her eyes to gaze out the window and take notice of the landscape as they drive onward.

 The remainder of the ride was short and silent and Milo led Nefertiti up the stairs to an apartment and rang the doorbell. An young man answered the door. He looked at the two of them and shouted over his shoulder. "They're here!"

 He waved them in to the apartment. It was not nearly as large or fancy as Milo's house and the paint was peeling, but it was still a place to live. There was another, slightly older man sitting at a table who waved at the two of you.

 Milo motioned for Nefertiti to remain behind as he went to sit with Wallace (or, at least the one she figured was Wallace). She was now (more or less) alone with the younger of the two. He waved for her to follow. "Hi! I've heard a lot about you. Seems like you're in a bit of a strange position, with Milo as a sire."

Nefertiti walked up the stairs behind her adopted Sire and when a young man opened the door and yelled over he shoulder she was sure that was Markus.  She looked at where Milo when and stayed behind till she was asked to join them.  Surely they had a lot to talk about before her introduction.

Then Markus spoke and she looked to him "Hello. she replied

What ever do you mean?  A lot about me. she gave him a sheepish grin.  "I'm new to this city.  I wonder what all could you of heard.

 The young man chuckled. "New, maybe, but you still made waves. Got a Blood Hunt called on you and then cancelled, got the one after you 'Castlevaniaed', and ended up as Milo's foster childe. I'd say that's a pretty hefty resume for a newbie.

After hearing him say it like that she did have to say it was a hefty resume, by giving him a soft smile.

"Everyone she repeated. "I do hope that its on a good note. she smiled again.

Allowing her beauty ooze and her Egyptian heritage be noticed.

"I believe your Markusshe asked.

 Markus stepped out onto the balcony and put his arms on the railing. "That would be me. So, what's it like being the childe of the actual son of Dracula?"

Nefertiti looked at Markus with a puzzling expression "Who is that? she asked.

"Never heard of him. she was beyond serious in her facial expression.

 Markus stared at her and blinked, stunned by the revelation that she had no idea who Dracula was. "You're serious?! Dracula is only the most famous vampire of all time. He's so famous that even the Kine know his name. He's an unliving legend and many think he's the progenitor of modern vampires. Milo won't say anything about it though. You really didn't know?"

"From my lands the only vampire that is well known was Sseth.  But I'm sure you already knew that.  This Dracula has no comparison to him. she replied to him.

"But what all can you tell me about this, Dracula? Nefertiti moved next to him on the balcony.

 "I have no idea who that is... but Dracula was supposedly cursed directly into vampirism like Cain. He was also the progenitor of the Coils of the Dragon, types of Blood Magic that alter the very nature of the vampiric curse itself."

There was a look of shock upon Nefertiti's face when Markus mentioned that he knew not of Sseth. "How interesting. she replied.

She then repeated his words "Blood Magic" a smile came to her face "Would you happen to know any of his progenitors? seeing if they were able to tell her more about their blood magic.

Looking over her shoulder she looked at the two for a moment "I wonder what are they talking about?  Hope not me.

OOC: going to assume you meant "progeny" instead of "progenitor"

 "Milo is the only progeny I know of. Some claim to have a bloodline linking back to him but none can be verified. If you're looking to learn the Coils, then there are many kindred throughout the city who know a few... but Milo himself would be the best person to ask I would think.

 As for what they're talking about, it is likely you. I get the feeling that you'll be getting a lot of these little 'time outs'. Anyway, let's head ack in. They're probably finishing up now."

 As Markus led her back in, Milo stood up from the table and walked over to sit in a nearby chair. Markus did the same, leaving the only seat available to her the dining chair across from Wallace.

 He was an older man, well dressed with slicked back greying hair. He smiled at her and offered her the seat. "Milo tells me that you're interested in a Haven."

There seems to be a lot of things that Milo has to offer in telling her but in time she will wait for when he wishes to share them with her.  In the mean time she will be looking into finding others that claim to be of his bloodline.  Then again, she will have to search for any others that claim to be of hers.  She knows only of one so far, Alfred.

Moving back inside with Markus she watched as Milo moved to a new location and Markus joining him.  She looked down at the seat for a moment before taking the offered seat, she didn't know if it was something she should rush to do or be as she is a Queen and take a moment.

"I would like to find a Haven that is suitable for my needs. she said "But I don't know what all I have to offer in return.

 He raised an eyebrow and shot a glance at Milo. Milo nodded ever-so-slightly and Wallace returned his gaze to Nefertiti. "How refreshing to hear someone be so blunt.

 Very well then. I'll make a deal with you. I'll offer you this apartment in exchange for a favor."

Nefertiti looked around the place and wondered what was it all like, she did like the fact that it had a balcony and she could enjoy the night and city to watch from its location.

Looking back at her adopted Sire with a smile as this was what he meant by favors.  Giving her attention back to Wallace "I accept. she replied.

Her mind raced as to wonder what kind of favor he would ask for but seeing that he was an associate of Milo she hoped it wouldn't be something too dangerous.

Nefertiti had no idea where it was located or was there any people in the area that was around.  Taking a moment to think was the building in good shape and not damaged much from the Storm.

 Wallace nodded politely and stood. "Right then. I'll get the paperwork filled out and I'll have it sent to Milo. By then I'm certain that he'll have you set up with an identity so that you can fill them out."

 He motioned for Markus and the two made to leave without actually asking Nefertiti to do anything. Milo likewise stood and beckoned you to come with. Wallace locked the door behind everyone and Milo led you once more to the limo. Once you two were alone, he smiled at you. "Well done. So, do you have any questions?"

Nefertiti followed Milo into the limo without a word as they moved in silence till they were inside.  It seemed that she handled the first meeting with some Kindreds well but his question allowed many of things to come to mind but she knew that she had time to ask others later.

"What is this area called? she asked as she looked out the window to estimate the structure and to see if there was any life around here.  Has this area been fixed by the synthetics that were moving through the city to fix things.

What would be her next encounter with Kindreds she thought for a moment.

"It seems that I have already got some sort of reputation within the Kindred society, from what Markus explained. she looked to Milo "Is this going to cause any problems later on?

 "This place is called 'White Plains'. It used to be a town of its own but New York consumed it years ago."

 When asked about her reputation, he chuckled. "Most likely, but that's what I'm here for. If you can prove that this was all a misunderstanding, then you can build a good foundation to work off of... and the only way to do that is by being consistent in your behavior and being conscious of how others will view your actions.

 Now, out next order of business is to get you set up with a new identity. You won't be able to make any major purchases without one and a resurrected queen from thousands of years ago will rouse far too much suspicion... so, we're heading back to my haven for now."

Nefertiti nodded her head "It seems that this New York is very large.  I do miss my homeland. she said as she slowly dreamed of its beauty.

"What am I to do with any members of the Circle of Crones?  Surely Carmilla had told them something about me and if she don't appear then some might suspect that I had something in her disappearance. her thoughts ran as she wondered what all might transpire from that.

"Will I be able to keep my name? she looked at him in a bit of shock that she would have to change her identity. Who would she become.

 "Yes, it's quite large. However, you might not have quite so much trouble with the Circle as you think. They've lost their matriarch... a Kindred who was likely walking the earth when you were mortal... and that power vacuum will need to be filled. Depending on who it is, you may very well end up with a friendly relationship with them. That said, there is an equal possibility that they may try to feud with you.

 If they try, do NOT escalate. Otherwise, things will end poorly for you."

 He indicated Nefertiti's skeletal form. "Only escalate a situation with another Kindred if you both have the resources to spend and are willing to expend them. I cannot stress that enough.

 Now, as for your identity, I believe I can manage to let you keep your name... but you will need to identify yourself as something other than an ancient god-queen. Living for thousands of years is the hallmark of a Kindred but drawing attention to it is a breach of the Masquerade.

 Instead, you'll have a new last name and a new backstory. Just stick to it and you'll get a Social Security Number, which you'll need to make any number of valuable purchases."

Nefertiti was surprised to hear that Carmilla was that old, older than she was would make her very very powerful and if she followed the ways of Isis back then then she would of known a bit more of Nefertiti's history.  But then again she could of been living in a different part of the world all together.

"I do hope to make peace with them and their new matriarch.  There are still things I wished to learn from them and Carmilla made sure I didn't get any help from them. she replied.

Hearing that she would be able to keep her name brought a smile to her face.

"I was a Lector Priestess in my mortal life and I was good at healing those that were sick by my skills and power of healing.  Maybe I can aid in a healing place. she added "Would it be frowned upon if I was to use my talent of healing on mortals or Kindreds to gain favors?

Nefertiti rode the rest of the way back to Milo's home in silence, her mind was racing as she was hoping that she was able to do something she been wanting to do for sometime.

It was odd but she bowed her head to Milo before excusing herself from his vision and heading to the room that was giving to her.  Along the way she made sure that she was able to find a book, any book that she could read some of it.

Once she was in her room she made sure to lock the door and she even went to clean herself up some before she preformed a ritual summoning.....

She opened the book and began to read some of the lines then she called out a name.

Sariel she said.  She only wished to have a conversation with him, for she didn't possess the raw Power to summon him without a price or without an Golden Apple for him to help cultivate it.

After speaking his name she waited to see if he was to respond back to her.  If this summoning worked she would be pleased if not then she would have to try another time.

The memory of the party bubbled up. The moment she met Sariel took on a life of its own and occupied her mind like a half dream splitting her awareness. Sariel was there exactly as he was then. Seeing him but only in memory as he wasn't there for her eyes to see.

He placed his collapsed weapon on the wall in the memory. "Hello there."

Nefertiti looked at the weapon he placed upon the wall of her memory and wondered what was he doing at the time of her calling.

"Hello Sariel,  I hope I'm not disturbing something important.

I was wondering have you heard word of your mother yet?  It seems that I have done some changes within myself and was hoping that I can speak to her about gaining a station within the Divine a bit higher. she paused "Seeing that your world might be destroyed and the God you spoke about with the Golden Apples might be gone as well, if your world is no more.

"I am many enough to be here and to handle things just as important elsewhere."

"A few shards have heard a word of mother. To note, in our conversations never say the name of another god. That is a hard rule and if broken Ill vanish every time. I dislike it when they listen in."

"Our world is much harder to destroy than one may think. She is as much a person as she is a world. So long as one Ardianian lives so does she." His eyes twitched side to side as he went thumbing through memory. "You've already seen the apples. The orchard in the land of the dead. The dragon wouldn't fight so the owner kicked you all out."

"There once was a wizard name Sevrius, I put him on a scale between Talion and the strongest mages of the world. He put up a fit when asking me questions like this. So set this relationship right early, I don't give answers to problems, I set people on the road to solving the problems on their own. That is my nature and it's really hard to go outside of it. You want a god of knowledge if you want straight answers, not the one of evolution and transformation."

"So what is more important to you? Finding a way to get the golden apples? Honoring my mother and gaining her approval? Seeing a seat of divine power? I've already given you a direction on the apples. But what do you really want more than anything else?"

Nefertiti looked at Sariel and smiled for she knew already not to speak of another God or Goddess name, unless you wish to communicate with them.  She found this out the hard way as her former Goddess done.

Her eyes sparkled at the comment about the apples.

"I do not want to have you guide me but to speak, and with your wisdom.  Surely there will be a twist to your answers, but that is the greatness of all things.

Taking a moment to think on the question placed before her "I seek to Honor your mother and gain her Approval. she replied after her thoughts were clear.  She already had a bit of Divinity within herself and in time she would enhance its strength, but now she wanted to understand that of his mother and she would surely guide her in the right direction.  But of course, there will be a price to pay.

His last question was obvious, he knew what she really wanted ...like any other that has been stripped, degraded and weakened.... POWER

Nefertiti remembers the name he called to her and she also remembered that she had control over Death as well as Magic.  But not the Undead, the Guardian.

She had lost her connection with her former Goddess, one should never stop looking for enlightenment just because one door was closed.  This is a way for her to learn more about a Realm that she had never heard of before till Sariel spoke of it.  Talion or Necros would not miss her much if she was to loose her connection with him.  She already tasted his blood and knew much of its power.

"I understand and this journey would be the next Chapter of my life, or my existence. she said as she thought of her next step.

She needed time to regrow her own skin and this time would grant her that and it would also help her further her own station in the Cosmos.

"I accept the risk.

Thinking and hoping that the Ruby Sorceress wouldn't kill her outright for seeking her out.

"The real path to power is not in knowing what people are after but what they want. The prince of the city wants what is best for his people and not to settle scores, Talion wants to protect and learn and not to rule, your foe wanted exactly what you want truly and not to sate her pride."

"What is it that my mother wants truly?" He smiled as he wasn't going to give her the answer outright but knew she was smart enough to get it.

"She wants to protect her children. she paused.

If what you tell me is so, her anger toward Necros for killing you would be something I would want to shield her from.  Prevent if possible, but that would require a great amount of Time Arcana to achieve. placing a finger to her lower lip as she ponders "Would she want to spread her Domain into a new Realm.  So that she could change the past she thought but her words were spoken instead of a thought.

Sariel smiled, "Well as a time traveler myself, I cannot encourage trying to alter the flow of time. If you go back, you change things so you never go back in the first place, or if you go forward you go to a time that you never existed in beyond when you started to travel."

"Time travel is a hard bust."

"You could start small and provide her a token. Right now my core is nailed to the world tree going through a process. And my mother would kill you if you told her I was alive now without some kind of token. As a memory I cant make anything for you, but if you recall there are some of my threads around the portal at Sal's place."

Her eyes slightly flared at the sound of Sal's name.  It hasn't been a few days when she recalled his betrayal. Nodding her head she had a way of getting to Sal's house to find any of his threads around the portal.

Nefertiti's gave him a smile at the offer of becoming one of his Priestess. "Thank you for the suggestion. she replied but at the moment she didn't want to be a Priestess.  She wanted to gain her own at a later date.

Her mind raced to the thought of what she knew about the World Tree.

"Do be careful, they are on the defensive. Let me know if you need anything else. It will be interesting to watch you grow."

There was nothing else she needed at the moment from Sariel, for he has informed her of his mother being alive and if all goes right she will grow by her Divine intervention. It seemed now that Nefertiti was free from her leash no being was watching her or needing her to grow in Faith

“Your memory has been very helpful and I do hope that you are entertained by the show of my life .

Then she slowly closed her eyes and as she did that she also closed the book. There was no clue as to how to end the connection but it would be done.

Now she needed to find a way to get close to Sal’s home but the warning from Sariel did interest her some. Surely all would be on a defensive course after Carmilla’s death.

 Sariel took his leave when she chose to end the conversation. She had no knowledge of the World Tree he spoke of.

 Nefertiti had no way to get to Sal's place from here and she wasn't entirely sure where it was in relation to her current location. Milo had locked himself in a room when they'd gotten back and was working on her new identity. She had no real idea how long it would take him to do so.

OOC:  Did Milo answer her question in the limo, about her gaining favors for her Healing?


Nefertiti had no plans of going to Sal's house tonight, she was an immortal and time had little meaning to her at the moment.  She needed to discover more about herself.

Her body needed ten or more days to be fully healed back to itself and that was her main goal for now.  Regaining her body so that she may interact with others and if anyone was to assault her she wouldn't be at a disadvantage.

 Milo returned after a small amount of time with a small plastic card with her picture on it and quite a few different numbers. "Here you go. This is your driver's license. You will need this for a great many things. Keep it on you at all times. Your new name is 'Nefertiti Al-Mashat'. You are now a new migrant from Egypt, a recently legalized citizen."

Nefertiti repeated the words "Driver license" as she looked down at the plastic card with her picture upon it.  This was all a new experience to see her picture and so visual.  Surely it would take a painter months to do a portrait and those that were painted inside some of the pyramids took years.

"I will have to find a way to gain favors and my resource in time.  Thank you Milo she smiled as she continued to look at the picture.

Her eyes looked up to him "Milo are you able to contact Sal.  I never fully understood how to use those things called Slates.  If not, sometime later can I be taken to his residence? looking at her arms "My healing may be a long time.

 Milo pulled a small device out of his pocket. It looked much different than Noah's slates. "It'll be better to ease you into technology. Let's start with a regular phone for now. This one has voice recognition."

 He opened the phone and spoke into it. "Call Sal."

 She could hear the device ringing as he handed it to her.

Recognizing Milo's number, Sal picked up, "Hello?" he said with a friendly tone. With all that had been going on lately, and the possibility that an enemy had gotten a hold of Milo's phone, he didn't say anything else until he could identify for sure who was on the other end.

Nefertiti looked at the item for a moment before speaking after hearing the rings and then Sal's voice.

"Hello Sal.

Milo was kind enough to call you for me.  I was checking to see if you was at your home.  I need to visit it for a moment to collect a token. she replied as she placed it a bit closer to her ear to hear.

Sal was relieved at the lack of hostility coming from the other side. He had said some pretty horrible things to Nefertiti out of anger. "Nefertiti? I'm afraid I'm out of the country right now. Give me a moment to contact Mistral, and I'll see if I can get home soon. I'll call back right after."

"Very well.  she replied.

After the call was completed she gave Milo the phone back.

Doing her best to think if she was able to remember the location of the Portal without Sal's help.

 Milo took back his phone and, upon being asked, was more than willing to arrange transport for Nefertiti to the mansion without his presence.

Nefertiti looked at the phone "I will need to purchase one of those myself later on.  Just not sure what is best for a beginner like myself.  Any suggestions? she asked Milo.

She was also pleased that Milo was able to supply transportation to Sal's home and now she wouldn't need to wonder the streets without knowing where she was going and how to get back to Milo's home.

"When Sal informs me of when he will be there.  I will gladly take your offer in transportation there.  she paused and looked at Milo for a moment "Is there anything you wish me to relay to Sal?

Sal called Milo from his mansion as he and Point Break disabled the explosives. He had set them up to be easily disabled from the inside. A press of a button, and it was just a matter of removing the disarmed explosives from the door. "Milo, I just made it back home. Let Nefertiti know she's free to come over whenever she'd like."

When Milo informed Nefertiti that Sal called she got into the vehicle and was quiet along the ride till it stopped outside of the place. Taking a deep breath she slowly exited it and made her way to the front door where she rang or knocked on the door and waited for Sal to open.

As she waited she allowed her senses to become heightened just in case any danger was out there waiting or watching.

As he waited for Nefertiti, Sal discussed a plan with Point Break.  Upon hearing the doorbell, Sal checked the monitors for the security cameras outside, and upon confirming it was only Nefertiti, he went to answer the door. Point break will remain in the security room, moving into position only after he sees Sal escort Nef into an adjacent room.

When Sal comes to the door she looks him up and down for a moment to make sure it was the real Sal.

"I hope I didn't disturb you from anything, but I need to visit your portal area.  There is something there I need to collect. she said as she was inside of the door and walking with Sal.

"It seems that your place has gone untouched by the cultists of Carmilla. she added as she continued to walk with him.  Seeing if he had anything to say.

It seemed to be the real Sal. "It seems I fled the country for nothing. But, I didn't survive living in the public eye for two centuries without knowing how to be careful, or by getting too attached to one location." As he talked, he led her to a small sitting room, and offered her a seat. "So, how may I help you?"

“May I see your portal ?

"Excuse me moment. Wait here." He leaves through a door in the opposite wall of where he and Nefertiti came in.

Not a moment after Sal leaves, Nefertiti hears his voice come from the door behind her. "Thank you for your patience. Had to make sure the security room was safe. That's where the portal is. Its the last door we passed as we came in," he says. "I should warn you now, if you're not really Nefertiti, the wards on the room will know, and you'll be teleported into the Sun," he lies. "If you are the real Nefertiti, you have nothing to fear. I abide by the Prince's judgement of you, and even if it didn't, I will only harm you if needed to protect myself, or those I care about. After you. I've already unlocked it, and give my word that the door isn't trapped." he says, as he motions in the direction of the security room.

OOC: Aside from the bit about the wards, everything he is saying to you is true.

"It is the real Nefertiti. she replied as she pulled down her glove to show her bones still there and no flesh from Carmilla's blood.

She followed him to the room and waited for him to open the door, as she remembered the words of Sariel.

"This should only take a moment as I search for the Token.

 Nefertiti found that the portal remained intact. However, Auspex did not reveal the portal at all. You knew it was there and could very likely use it if the password hadn't been changed... but how exactly to find the token had not been explained to you.

Sal opened the door to the security room... from the inside. No one stood behind Neferiti. However, on one of the security monitors, she could see another Sal, standing by in the next room, listening. "You've met my double, haven't you? As you can see, we're both here, so now you can be sure I'm the real Sal. Or he is. I'm sure you can figure out the difference." the real Sal said. "Now, describe this token, you seek. I'm happy to help, as a start towards making amends for my harsh words."

Nefertiti looked at Sal as he opened the door and the one behind her vanished.  It caused her right eyebrow to arch slightly as she didn't like being played with a toy for his enjoyment.  But then again they were all on a defensive status, if her memory was correct.

Letting out a sigh "I see you are being like Mistral with more copies of yourself. calmly saying as she looked around the room but not with Auspex but using her Arcana abilities of Prime and then Time.  If they were able to spot something then she would be pleased.

"I come seeking a token of Sariel.  He told me he did something to your portal and that would have a residual of his essence. she replied to him.

Her fingers began to move around in the air trying to locate something that is surely unseen.  "I know its here but just need to be able to locate and grasp on to it. glancing to Sal "Do you know what he did to your portal?

There was a slight smile upon Nefertiti's beautiful face as she looked at the area of the room.  This was when things would get a bit harder for she didn't fully grasp the Arcana domains yet and being a newly Awakened Mage not some days ago she never had time to be teach by a tutor.  She couldn't fully understand how Noah became a master of Prime but now she needed to learn how to grasp the treads of Sariel's alteration.

Taking a moment she thought about how Force might be able to give her a slightly chance of grasping it but she didn't know what spell to use for it. Would she be able to drain it with her new found Vampiric power.

As she thought of ways to grasp she also waited to hear what Sal had to say about it.

"Point Break is quite different from Mistral's doppelgangers. Also, he's the only one I have. We don't share thoughts or experiences, though his personality is a mirror of my own, if a bit idealized. I'm not sure how Mistral would be affected by the loss of a copy, but Point Break, as a Synth, is a person, by every measure that matters. His death would be the loss of something unique to the world. Sal explained.

"I'm afraid I don't recall Sariel doing anything to my portal. Trinity, can you detect his resonance?"

 When called, Trinity's form materialized somewhat behind Sal and to his right. "Indeed... though he seems to have left more than resonance. This portal is outlined with threads that tie into the fabric of reality. It is doubtful that this portal could be dispelled at all."

"Thank you, Trinity. Nefertiti, can you see the threads? I'm afraid they're invisible to me." He tried putting on the glasses Noah gave him, though he doubted they would help, here.

Nefertiti looked at Trinity for a moment and was glad to know that he to was able to see the threads.

"I can see the threads but not able to gather any.  It seems that I'm not capable to do so as of yet or I don't know how. she replied.

"Trinity, would you know how to gather some of these threads? she asked for she found him to be a Unique being.

 Trinity nodded. "Yes. These threads interact with mana and tass, becoming solid in their presence. They otherwise remain insubstantial."

"Hmmm. Let me try something." Sal ignites his Spirit Katana, holding it near the portal. "Be careful not to touch the light of my sword. Can you collect them, now."

She waited to see what Sal's sword was capable of doing and if she was able to collect some of the threads.  If she could focus on her hands to become touched with any form of Arcana to aid in this matter.

 As Sal pointed his blade at the portal, the ring surrounding it suddenly began to glow softly, making them visible to the naked eye. At first, Nefertiti was able to pick them up. However, once they reached a certain distance from her, they became insubstantial once more and fell through her hand.

 However, by channeling mana through her hands, she was able to pick them up with her skeletal fingers.

OOC: how much are you taking? There seems to be enough thread to wind around the portal about 5 times.

Nefertiti looked to Sal as his sword allowed them to see the Threads with the naked eye. "That is a nice item to have at your side. she said as she invoked the Mana to move through her hands as she began to gather as many Threads as needed to make sure she was able to make the right Token for this mission.

"Thank you Sal. she said as she pulled the Threads closer to her bosom.  She didn't know how long she would be able to hold on to them and feel it the Mana that flowed through her body.

"I have to return back before I loose the Token. she thought of the fastest way back to Milo's place and into her guest room.  She wondered what would be able to contain these Threads.

 Nefertiti gathered a few more threads just to be sure and then made to leave, taking the car she had been driven in back.

 However, on the way back to the Guest room, the spell failed. She tried to reactivate it but was unable to do so successfully. The driver stopped to let her out to go find them.

 After a minute or two of searching with her Prime Sight, she was able to locate them and complete the spell that allowed her to touch them. When she stood up from gathering them, she turned around to find that her driver had been forcefully removed from the car and was in the process of being drained by a vampire.

 Two more, likely also vampires, flanked the one doing the feeding. When he had finished, he threw the driver away with a single hand like a limp doll. While the other two were dressed in clothes similar to ones she'd seen normal people in, the one in the middle was dressed in red robes with clearly sculpted and inhuman features.

 He wiped away the blood as he sauntered forward, still flanked by the other two. "Greetings, Young One. I have heard much about you. My name is Reginald Franz, of Clan Tzimisce… and these are my associates. We would like for you to come with us."

Nefertiti's eyebrow arched when she lost hold of the Threads but once she had the car stopped and was able to regather them it was then she didn't think it was a random happening of the lost of her hold on the Threads.  As she watched the horrible actions of one of the Tzimisce Vampires her mind only thought of one who would dare take this direct action against Milo.  The young kindred she just recently met and was going to try to use her to gain some sort of incline in the chain of this foul society.

"Greeting Reginald Franz, of Clan Tzimisce.  she said calmly not worried about what they did to the driver but her main concerned was what she was holding.

"It seems that you already know who I am so, am I needed to give a formal introduction? she asked as her eyes scanned the building in the distance.

Her mind wondered if Markus was foolish enough to attack a servant of Milo.  That is if Markus was behind all this.  She did remember that Milo said there wasn't many Tzimisce in the city.

"Would you allow me to first place this somewhere safe? she only gazed down at her empty hands to most.

 Reginald glanced down at Nefertiti's empty hands and then up to her face. With such alien features, it was impossible to tell what he was thinking. "I see you've learned our etiquette well. By all means, I would love to hear your introduction."

 His inhuman mouth worked its way into a smile. The other two remained to each side and a little behind him. They looked quite ready to fight. However, Reginald seemed to be holding them in check. "And now, pray tell, what is it that you are holding?"

Nefertiti took noticed of him looking at her hands.

"My name is Nefertiti, Adopted Child of Milo.  It is a pleasure to meet you. she replied with a smile.  His facial features didn't bother her much for own was nothing but a skull a few days ago.

She looked down at her hands "It is something that don't belong to me.  But I'm sure if you could see it then you would know. she replied.

"Where would you like to take me, and who would I be meeting? she gave her question as she took notice of the two associates, but she didn't worry much about them for she would be gone in a blink of an eye.

So far, she showed no signs of evacuating from her new kindreds.

 Reginald watched her impassively as she spoke. "I see. So the Kin-slayer has taken on a childe. If I were to guess, it was at the behest of that snake, Victor, was it not?

 Even we have heard of the Blood Witch Carmilla's death and, I assure you, it delights us to no end. You seem to have taken the brunt of her wrath yourself, if I may say so.

 I would like for you to come with us, to meet our Master. We can repair the injuries you have sustained... and we can perhaps help you with other matters as well."

 Reginald nodded his head to the side and the two others went around a building and came back with a vehicle that looked like the one she had been driven around in, but bigger and more box shaped.

Nefertiti didn't think it would be a smooth conversation as it was and his words peeked her interest when he called Milo the Kin-slayer.  What stories does Reginald have to share and if he heard about her then he would of known she was with Milo.

Her face contorted at the mentioning of Victor and it even brought her fangs to a slight baring.  She quickly regain her composure and looked at Reginald.  Nodding her head to the comment about it being Victors request that Milo take on the role as an adopted Sire.

Her death she repeated as if that was something that no one was suppose to know.

She looked down at her arms which at the moment was covered by the long sleeved gloves but she knew what they looked like under it.  "I would be grateful if you were to help in that matter.  Your Master must be an Elder himself.  I don't think many would boldly attack one of Milo's servant, unless they have the resources for the outcome.

 "Indeed, you are correct, Young One. One does not engage another Kindred without the means of dealing with the consequences... and it seems that you too have a deep dislike for the so-called 'Prince' of this city."

 He turned and gestured toward the van. "Come. If you wish to be healed, then I will need access to the tools at my lair. I'm certain that my Master would be delighted to meet you. You see, he is not Kindred, but rather a being somewhat more like yourself."

This too may be a dangerous ride to meet this unknown Master but so far there has been no hostile actions toward her but only an acknowledgement of dislike of the Prince of this city.  She surely didn't want Carmilla to rule over it but then again she may be aiding this Master or maybe herself in gaining that station.

If this Master, seems to be a worthy ally then she couldn't risk not seeking him out

OOC: so are you saying that you're going to take his offer and get in the van?

OOC: Yes.

 Nefertiti climbed into the van and Reginald followed. Inside was sitting one of the men who had been flanking Reginald. He motioned for him to move offering her the man's seat to you while he sat in the floor with the tools (shovel, rope, and many more technologically advanced tools that she didn't recognize.

 He closed the door of the van behind him and rapped twice on the metal side and it began moving. "Forgive me if I am being rude, but I must ask. I have heard rumors that you are the actual Queen Nefertiti of Egypt. Is this true? Do you have means to verify it?"

Nefertiti gave Reginald a soft smile "Queen Nefertiti, how old do you think I am? she asked.

"I can not.  Why would you think I am a Queen, I do have to wonder what all have you heard about me.  I'm the Young One as you already know. Not a Elder.

 Reginald leaned back against the wall of the van. "Carmilla cast a wide net when looking for information about you. It made for some very interesting conjecture. After all, who better to rule a city than a queen? We will be reaching my lair soon. Have you any questions for me before we arrive?"

Nefertiti's eyebrow arched a bit as he informed her of Carmilla's search on her past and it also brings a smile to her face. "She must of spent a lot of resources to find out about little me.  I'm touched she places her gloved hand upon her bosom.

When the opportunity comes for questions she didn't let it pass.
"Why is Milo a Kin-slayer?  In details please. she paused for a very brief moment "Who is your Master?

 "Oh, that. Milo has put hundreds of Timiscze to the stake over the centuries, including his own childer."

 The vehicle slowed to a stop. "My Master goes by many names: The Crimson Reaper, the Red Tide, the Red Death, and many other besides. However, for now, he goes by the name Damien. Come and we will repair your wounds."

 He opened the side door and stepped out, offering her a hand as she stepped down and out in front of yet another ruined building in a place she was not familiar with. He motioned down the stairs as he began to walk, all the time offering her a hand out of courtesy should she feel the need to balance.

Nefertiti's eyes blink at the mentioning of Milo placing his own Childer upon the stake, and was she going to end up as his other placed upon it.  Even though she was not a Timiscze.  The Prince did place her in his care and surely he knew about Milo's past and if all this was true he would surely hand her over in time.  Just using her as a pawn for now to keep some peace within the Kindred society.

Hearing the names of his Master didn't give her a comfortable feeling, he was called a lot of things that refer to with Death.  When a hand was offered she couldn't take it for her own was filled with something at the moment.  Looking at the building she moved to the stairs leading down.

If she was not being fully watched she would of released the Threads before entering into the building but keeping her hands together as if she was holding onto something.

"I will owe you a huge favor for such a blessing. she said as they move onward.

She didn't let down her guard for she also knew that there was some out there that was looking to cause harm.  If this was all an act she would be ready to defend herself and leave this place in a blink of an eye.

 Reginald, despite not having his hand taken, continued to offer it the entire way down the stairs. Once at the bottom, he unlocked the door and held it open for her. The other two remained at the van.

 "Then, as a favor, I will ask only one thing of you... that you wear a blindfold to and from our Master's residence. There are many who seek to destroy him, some of whom could pluck the location from your mind without your knowledge. I'll promise to see to your safety for the entire duration of your visit."

 The inside of the basement looked to be an office of some sort, with a reception window, seats, and potted plants. He unlocked the next door and took you down a hallway and into a room with a mechanical chair and a large pole complete with mirrors and pointy looking (dentistry) tools.

 He gestured for you to sit. "Give me a moment and I will return with the things I need to heal your body."

She nodded her head in agreement to be blindfolded.

"Will the process take long to heal me? she asking in sheer wonder as to what kind of contraption was this before her.  At first she had to wonder about this when she saw the tools for it brought back some unpleasant memories about how she lost her Divinity life and now a Kindred.  Reginald could see that her body did tense slightly when she looked at the chair.

"Do tell me, has your Master ever when by the name Alfred?

 Reginald took note of her tenseness upon observing the room. "No need to worry. These aren't my tools. They were here when I got the place... but no, my Master has never gone by the name 'Alfred', though I'm quite certain I know who you're talking about. German guy, wears a full white suit? He's yet another thorn in our side that needs to be plucked. I'll be right back."

 He left and went into a room further in the back. It took several minutes for him to return with a large black leather case (it looked almost like a very large purse) and set it down in the floor beside the chair. "Now, I'll need full access to your body. If you could remove your clothing, I'll begin the process of restoring flesh to your body."

Nefertiti was pleased to hear that they were not the same person, and when he brought back the bag and said that he would be doing this procedure also brought a bit of comfort to her mind.

"Yes he needs to be dealt with some day. she smiled as he spoke about him being a thorn in their side. Then she began to remove the clothing off her body, which revealed a skeleton form under the cloth.  Only her head seemed to have any flesh upon it.

She looked down at her body in sheer horror for a moment as she looked at what Carmilla done to her beautiful flesh.

There was something about what he was about to do to her and she wanted to learn this skill as well.  If, she was capable of learning such a Discipline.  If it had any form of Arcana/Magic involved then she might be able to but that was a long shot.

 Reginald reached into the bag and removed what seemed like lumps of clay from within. He began at her feet, attaching the clay to her bones before reaching back in and adding more. The process was painless and he had to back into the back room a few times to refill the bag with material but soon she had a cast of what her original body looked like in clay. It was not the same color as the flesh on her face (being more pink in color).

 When he returned the last time, it was not with the bag of clay but with a chalice filled with blood. "And now for the final component. Drink this and use this blood as if you were repairing wounds. This will allow for the restoration to 'set' and be completed."

OOC: all your aggravated damage has been downgraded to bashing and can now be healed with this blood.

Nefertiti allowed her mind to think as she joined with this new Kindred so hastily with the thought of the destruction of the Prince and Alfred.  As Reginald began his process and leaving the room to collect more of the clay, she focused her eyes on the clay to make sure it didn't have any magical properties and if so what sort.  She even tried to taste it to see what there any blood involved. Not wanting to become a puppet to Reginald or his Master.

 OOC: the clay is not magical, but it does have the faint lingering aura of an unknown vampire power (though that should be expected considering that he seems to be using that vampiric power to heal you). The clay itself had a salty taste and biting into it revealed small amounts of blood (not magical or vampiric though, and not enough to regain any Vitae)

Before drinking the last component she looked to Reginald "Will my color return or will I have to keep this odd pigmentation? she asked wondering how could she find a way to adjust all the color the same if it don't match after she drinks.

Her mind raced as to wonder what should she do.

 Reginald nodded. "Your natural skin color will return once you drink and begin the regeneration process. Your vampiric nature will revert you to as you were before you were maimed. I merely gave your body something to work with instead of regenerating you from scratch."

Nefertiti nodded her had as she then slowly drank the blood and wished she studied the Path of Blood to see what she could uncover about it.  In time, she will have to further her repertoire of spells.

"When will I get the pleasure of meeting your Master? she asked. Surely he was aware of her being here and might be watching all this from a wondering sight.

 As she drank, she felt an odd sensation in the pit of her... stomach? Yes, she had a stomach now... and a heart, and many other things it seemed. Anywhere the blood touched, the clay reformed into her own skin as it was before. Over the course of about 30 seconds, her body changed from a clay cast back into a body of flesh.

 After watching the transformation, he turned and produced a dress. It was black and in the fashion you'd seen some of the other female kindred wear to events (complete with high heel boots). "We'll be heading there once you get dressed. It would have been poor decorum to bring you before the Master in a weakened state."

Nefertiti was in awe as she felt the sensation moving over and through her clay body, but as the sensation grew it seemed that she could feel a lot of other things that was once lost returning in her body.  She took a deep breath as she was able to feel the air returning into her lungs, not that she needed it but she was pleased to know that she could.

She turned to Reginald as her flesh took form, standing before him naked with no shame to her perfect form.  It seemed that he was an artist shaping his perfect sculpture.  She blinked her eyes a few times as she ran her fingers over her face, arms stomach and then squeezing her breast.

She looked at the dress and smiled "Fit for a Queen. she said as she gracefully took it.  Then she slid on the dress and shoes taking a moment to make sure it was looking right on her she then stood there and waited for Reginald to blindfold her.  Seeing that it was her part of the agreement.

 Reginald waited for her to get dressed and, once she was ready, blindfolded her and led her by the hand out of his lair and back up the stairs, back into the van. There, she rode for another 10 to 15 minutes before it stopped once more.

 He led her out of the van and across the gravel, through a metal gate and a metal door before he took off her blindfold. Outside, she could hear the ocean and inside was what looked to be an office building.

 It was then that she saw four guys. They were sickly and dressed in ratty clothes and biker jackets. They glared at Nefertiti and one of them approached. "What do you think you're doing? I recognize this one, one of the ones that nearly sniffed us out last time."

 Reginald glared at him. "Back off, pup. This one is an esteemed guest under my personal protection."

 "You think we're afraid of you?!"

 Reginald smirked but did not raise his voice. "I think that you have yet to learn what fear really is. Test me and I will be more than happy to educate you."

 The man stared at Reginald for another tense second or two before backing down before Reginald offered her his hand once more. "Don't mind them, our security forces are a bit... intense. Come, the Master Awaits."

Nefertiti's eyebrow arched as she saw the four standing before her but she didn't show any concerns of them for she knew that she was here for a reason and that reason was to meet Reginald's Master.  But as the moments past she wondered who or what was this Master.

Has she gotten herself into a bit of a deeper pit than she did with Carmilla.  Revenge can be a dangerous sword if not wielded right.

She did watch Reginald as he threaten the one and she was very intrigued to see what all he was capable of, but it seemed that it will have to wait for another time.

"Yes, shall we. she relied as she took his hand

 Reginald escorted her through the office buildings and into the warehouse behind. There, she saw many people in robes coming and going. As she looked further back, she saw 9 individuals in the back, sitting in chairs surrounded by a makeshift shrine. They looked like ordinary men save the one in the center.

 He looked as though he were a synth... but much larger, at least 9ft tall and built like a tank. Unlike the others, he radiated power in a manner similar to what she'd felt when she'd gone to visit Isis in the land of the dead.

 Reginald approached, knelt, and bowed his head. "I have returned, Master. I have brought a guest with me. She is the one that was targeted by the Crimson Witch."

 The... creature (for it was clearly no man) steepled its synthetic fingers and regarded Nefertiti. The power she felt radiating off of him was similar in nature to when she'd taken her own Apocalyptic Form. When he spoke, it carried the unbroken weight of the tide and Nefertiti's skin tingled with cold, as if stepping out into the air after a cold ocean spray. "Greetings. Reginald speaks highly of you. I'm sure you have questions. Ask."

Nefertiti followed Reginald and when she entered into the room where she spotted the makeshift alter, that was when she shifted her eyes into Prime to see what all she could see in a different aspect.  Normal sight was one thing but in Prime she could see the strands of Arcana if they were present.  Her eyes gazed over at the figure in the center of the mortals.  It was surely a sight to behold.

As they moved closer she ended the sight, not wanting to be disrespectful in person.

Listening to Reginald as he spoke of the Crimson Witch brought a smirk to her face.

Nefertiti didn't show any signs of her experience in the tone of his voice but only gave him a bow of her head.

"Why didn't you joined forces with the Crimson Witch if you despise the Prince of this city? she asked first.

 The one Reginald referred to as "Master" glanced to Reginald and then back to Nefertiti. The massive synth body seemed to smile. "My concerns lie beyond the petty maneuverings of the Kindred. The Crimson Witch does not interest me, nor does the Prince. There is something far older, something far more powerful in magnitude, that requires my attention."

Nefertiti was a bit shocked for she thought that the Crimson Witch was a thorn in his side as she was in hers.  But when he mentioned he attention being elsewhere, it piqued her interests.

"Is there anything that I can do to help you in this matter?  Seeing that I'm here for a reason.  I'm sure. she asked still wondering why he wanted her.

 The massive creature nodded. "Indeed you can. I sense that you have consumed the soul of a synth. That means you now have the power to trace their sympathy. Consume enough and you will attain the Aetherial Eye, that will allow you to see the Infrastructure of the God-Machine."

 Without needing to be asked, the creature continued. "It is a machine that is old, predating Humanity and possibly even Creation itself. It appeared to us in times long past, promising aid. From it, we learned how to gain power from Faith. From it, we learned to make pacts... but we did not understand the scope of what we were bargaining with or the price that all of creation would pay.

 Those of us who accepted the God-Machine's aid are known as the Twice-Fallen and we seek to correct our mistake. We almost claimed victory when we took possession of its physical aspect, but the storm that leveled the city reactivated it and it escaped. The synths are the key to finding it.

 However, before I continue, there is the matter of how I can help you. All those you see here aid me and, in return, I offer my aid to them. Would there be something you would ask of me?"

Nefertiti listened closely to each word the creature spoke like a child in school listening to a lecture from one of their favorite subjects.  It was all new information for her mind and she couldn't fully grasp being a Twice-Fallen.  She wanted to learn more but that would take time.

Her eyebrow arched at the mentioning of him aiding her.  So many things ran through her mind but she had to think on it a bit more. "May I ask of it at a later time?  I don't want to ask for something that I can receive on my own. she replied to the creature.

"For now, accept my aid and later I'm sure the request will be for-filled. she gave a slight bow of her head in gratitude.

She then looked at those around her and especially those sitting around him, she listened to see if there was a heart beat and if they were still mortals or Kindreds or even something else.

 The others did not speak and she could hear their heartbeats with her augmented hearing. However, her vision told her that they were like the creature in the center... just weaker.

 The creature in the center nodded and motioned to Reginald who took out a brush with ink on it. "Then take this. It is the Red Mark. With it, you may ask for your boon anywhere, at any time."

 Reginald walked around behind her. "It's best placed on the back, so that others cannot view it. It often takes a great deal of explaining to those who do not understand our mission."

Nefertiti held up her hand when Reginald was offering to mark her body "I would like to enjoy having my skin back before marking it.  At least for a few days.  I want to get to enjoy its sensation it brings. she said hoping that he didn't get offend but she just got her beautiful flesh back.

"When you take me back, we can exchange information so that I may contact you so that I can ask for the Red Mark. titling her head to see his reaction.

Once she was sure that he accepted her request she turned to the creature again. "Does it matter which synths I consume to gain the Aetherial Eye?

 Reginald took a slight bow. "Of course, it will be waiting for you when you are ready."

 "No, it does not. Any synthetic soul will help attune you open your Aetherial Eye. You should only need four more before your eyes will fully open and the Infrastructure of the God-Machine will become known to you. We will meet again, when you are ready."

 With that, Reginald led her back out toward the exit, blindfolding her once more so that she could not reveal the location (or have it stolen from her) and back to his lair. "I noticed that you stopped holding on so carefully to your empty hand while in my lair. It would not do to have you lose something so important, yes?"

 He wrote something down on a piece of paper and handed it to her. "Take this paper to this location, throw it in the trash can there, and wait. Someone will come for you to meet us within fifteen minutes."

She bowed her head to the creature for his knowledge and then she was ready to leave.  As Reginald placed the blindfold over her eyes she was able to take one last glance around the area, just in case she had to find it on her own.  Walking out of the place with him allowed her to listen to anything that was around the area and with her own special hearing it would pick up a lot of things.  That was the blessing of using Auspex, so undetectable.

At his lair she looked to him "It is something important but I know where I can collect more if needed. she smiled as she was sure there was plenty still there that she could gather now that she has the location of it and she didn't need any help in getting there.

Taking the piece of paper and looking at it, nodding her head in agreement. "Thank you Reginald.  You have been very helpful and enlighten my sight on many things.  Milo has not been so forthcoming about his past, but I guess he still wants to see how he can use me or determine if I am a threat. she smiled.

"They forced me in joining their cult, and if Carmilla was able to plot against them. Then I too shall have that honor.  But I will succeed where she was foolish enough to not seek the right help. her words were filled with such hatred for those all involved in her losing her former self and turning her into what she is now.  For her losing her connection to her former Goddess and now seeking a new one.  The mother of Sariel.....

 Nefertiti picked up little of her surroundings as she left with her hearing aside from the sounds of boats and water. It was a quiet place, wherever this was.

 Reginald nodded and bowed. "You are very welcome... and nothing would bring me greater joy than to assist you in humbling the Camarilla. Now, if what you seek is important, then it is best not to waste it, yes? Go on, reclaim what is yours and then we will take you wherever you wish to go."

Nefertiti nodded her head to Reginald "What are you, if not of the Camarilla? she asked, seeing that her adopted Sire been a bit light on giving her some information.

As they walked outside of his lair she allowed her eyes to focus on the spot where she dropped the Threads seeing if they were still there.  If so, she would allow some energy to flow through her hands so that she can once again collect it.  IF not, then she would ask to be taken to the outskirts of Sal's estate.  She would be able to get back inside and retrieve more if needed.

 "I am of the Sabbat. We do not believe in the artificial rules and porcelain lies of the Camarilla. We believe that we are as we are meant to be and that, to pretend otherwise is just a delusion."

 He walked with her as she went and waited patiently as she picked up the threads (which she managed to do quite easily). "I can see it in you too. You do not wish to be chained by what society thinks you should be. The Sabbat do not pretend to be something we are not. I think you would find yourself quite comfortable among our number. Now, where would you like to go?


 … or would you like to stay with me?"

Nefertiti thought about what he was offering her and she knew that she couldn't accept it right now, she needed to find out more about those that have bind her into this agreement.  One night put a Death hunt upon her then quickly removing it just to make her agree to service in their Sect.

"Your offer is very tempting Reginald but I must play my part in all this for now.  In time, we will succeed where others have failed. she gave him a wicked smile.

"I should return back to that so called adopted Sire.  I'm sure he has heard about the death of his driver so I must play my part in that as well. her eyes sparkled "And I didn't even get to feed off him.

 Reginald returned her smile. "Very well. I cannot return you to that place directly, for obvious reasons, but we will return you to within walking distance that you may return by foot.

 … and, to make up for my rudeness in eating your driver, I'll have a warm meal waiting for you when you return to us."

 With that, Reginald ordered his subordinates to drive, letting her off within view of Milo's haven. It would still take her some time to walk there, but there was no danger of her getting lost. Reginald said his goodbyes quickly (as it would not do to have you two caught together) and then left, allowing her to walk home without issue.

 Milo was not present when you arrived, nor was anyone else. You had the entire place to yourself.

Nefertiti was pleased with the offer and she then got into the vehicle and headed off, when it stopped to let her out she looked around the area getting a better view of the scenery before starting to walk toward Milo's home.  As she looked around was seeing if there were any people around on the street or any synths.  It has been a long night and she still didn't get to feed so she was looking for a meal.  If not, then she would vanish then reappear into her room given by Milo.  She had no intention on walk, but she made sure that Reginald's driver was gone and no one was watching.

As she walked around the place she was seeing if there was any Blood around that she could drink.  She also wanted to collect a few items so that she could preform a Ritual that might summon a Goddess.

 As Nefertiti began heading toward Milo's abode, she happened upon a lone synth setting up building supplies, humming the same song that they all were while setting up tool caches and material bins. It seemed that the synths would be moving here in force within the next few days to repair the area.

 However, for now, the only people that seemed to be in the vicinity were you two and he wasn't paying attention to your presence at all.

When Nefertiti spotted the Synth she was going to test something upon it but then she stopped in her tracks seeing that it wasn't paying her any attention she didn't want it to alert that damn dragon that seemed to be connected to them.  She would need to find a way to make sure that her every move is not being watched.

Then she vanished from that spot and appeared in her room.  Placing the Threads safely in the room she then started walking around the place seeing if there was any Blood around that she could drink.  She also wanted to collect a few items so that she could preform a Ritual that  summon a Goddess.

 Blood wasn't something that could just be found lying around in a careful vampire's room. She knew where Milo kept the blood but that door was locked and he likely had the key.

OOC: Salt can be fount easily enough. It's a common household item.

Nefertiti touched the door as she used her Lore power to unlock it and have a peruse as to what was all inside.  She didn't remember that she wasn't allowed to unlock a door if there was something inside she needed.  Even Milo knew that she would be thirsty soon.

With no one here to unlock it for her and she needed to be replenish in Vitae before she performs the Ritual.

22:49, Yesterday: Nefertiti rolled 1 success using 6d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s with rolls of 4,6,3,8,2,2.  Open/Close Portal.

 The door opened with a click, leading her into a large walk-in closet. Inside was a refrigerator (she'd seen them before while on the island). Inside were a few packs of blood. It seemed like he didn't have many.

OOC: how much are you taking? Remember, the blood in the chalice from earlier was used to heal all your wounds.

 That's the key part right there. The clay downgraded it to bashing then Reginald gave you the blood to heal your wounds. There's enough blood in the fridge to fill you back to full, but no more.

OOC: it's about 3AM and there are several ruined buildings near Milo's abode.

Nefertiti takes the salt and the Threads and moves to an abandoned building. There she will have some privacy and not to bring the wraith of a goddess down upon Milo's building.

First she makes two different pentagrams, one for Protection and the other for Binding.

Then she will see if she is able to summon the the Ruby Sorceress, the Taciturn Queen, and the Arcane Lady.

Once that was prepared she calls out the name. "I call to thee,

The Ruby Sorceress, The Taciturn Queen, The Arcane Lady. I seek your wisdom.

 There was no verbal answer... but, nonetheless, Nefertiti felt the weight of a presence in the room with her.

“I was informed of your existence from your son, Sariel” she called out to the presence in the area.

 This time, there was a verbal answer, coming from within the circle. It was whispy and shadowy, willed with the intonations of the dead. "Sariel is dead. Only Cthulu remains now. What is it you seek?"

Nefertiti reached down to touch the Threads of Sariel

"I brought you a Token to prove he is not dead.  Are you able to see that it is his? she replied.

"I seek your wisdom, Lady Arcane

 The threads flickered out of existence and there was a long, heavy silence. "There is no doubt that these are his... and that is the only way you would have been able to learn of my old names. What wisdom do you seek?"

Nefertiti watched as the Threads flickered and then was gone.  It was a sign that her Token was taken and she could now speak with the Lady Arcane.

"I wish to learn more about YOU and your home Realm that Sariel spoke to me about. she replied calmly.

"He spoke highly of you and of your connection to Magic.  I would like to learn more about that as well.  Plus I know of the feud between you and Talion and wish to help save Sariel if possible.

 There was a long pause. "It is considered taboo among the gods to speak of what came before our current incarnation. I am not certain what has happened to Sariel to bring him here in this form, but he has likely bypassed our reincarnation. He never did like to play by the rules.

 I am and have always been the Lady of Death and Magic, She Who Passes Judgement upon the dead."

Nefertiti's face contorts in horror for a brief moment as her mind tries to compel the thought of what it was thinking.  If it was correct then there is a lot she needs to uncover and what kind of game is being played here.

Taking a deep breath in

"What is the name you go by now and would you be ever so kind as to make an appearance before me? her words were calm but her mind was racing as to the fact what was she going to do now.  It seemed that she was wise to place the protection insignias before summoning her.

Thinking of what could she do to prevent anything from going wrong.

 The voice pauses for roughly three long seconds before answering. "I gave you your soul, you sought to become favored among my servants, killed my Heirophant, and you still do not know my name? It is not wise to try summoning something you do not fully understand, Nefertiti. It is also bad form to seek to summon a goddess inside a paltry summoning circle such as this... I will not be doing that."

Nefertiti's assumptions were true and it was Isis before her.  But HOW....

"You gave me a soul, lets be honest Isis. she replied.

Her mind raced and she was sure that she knew the history of the Egyptian Pantheon and none of it had Isis being from another Realm or any of these strange names associated with her.

'How can you be her, was you not born of Geb and Nut.  Wife of Osiris and mother of Horus?  Has our history of you been all a lie? she said as it all hit her and all that she believed in might of been a lie.

 There was a pause as the presence pondered her reaction. "Yes. Souls age and die over time just as bodies do, just slower. It has been 3,462 years since you last lived. Even the strongest souls last only a century. When you came to me seeking the return of your soul, what you truly wished of me was that I restore your magic to you... and I did. The only thing you lacked was the patience and will to seize the power you craved.

Do not presume, Nefertiti. Gods undergo reincarnation, but we retain our memories from before. I am born of Geb and Nut, Wife of Osiris, now passed, and Horus... but, before that, I was Lady Arcane, mother of Sariel. But that was ages passed, before Atum brought forth the land from the seas of chaos."

Nefertiti nodded her head at the first part of Isis's remarks. Partially true, she did ask for her soul.  Not a soul that was corrupted and used to spy upon. But then again, Nefertiti had no problem with the spying part for Gods and Goddesses do watch through the eyes of their servants.

Letting out a sigh "Why did you allow your Heirophant to do what she did and try to take my Divinity from me?  If she didn't act upon my life then hers might of still been saved. she asked but she also wondered why would Isis place her on a killing list.  Without finding out what she was doing with Talion.

Her mind wondered even deeper "Is the snake god still your enemy and has he been reincarnated into the one who killed your husband?

 "Because she sought what you seek... and, when you found yourself in the same position, you tried the exact same thing. Regardless, because of the interference of that mage, you now find yourself closer than ever to what you actually seek, do you not?

 Regardless, yes. Apep is still my enemy but he was not incarnated into that murderer. No, he is an abomination, the greatest mistake the gods have ever made. If peace is to ever return to any land, he must be struck from the ledger entirely."

Nefertiti smiled at something she didn't wish to share with Isis or what ever name she truly possess.

"Thank you for this enlightening conversation.  I'm sure you have other things to attend and I seek what your son was kind enough to tell me.  My Divinity. she replied making sure that she understood that she is not there yet but soon she will.  A favor is owned from this one being that her so call cabal fears and he will grant her what she wants, an Golden Apple.

"Oh him.  Yes it seems that your Heirophant did a serious blow to his pride and mental state.  No one is able to locate him now.  Maybe if you and those other Gods were to work together.  Then maybe you can achieve what your Heirophant failed. she calmly said as she then looked at the center of the insignia.

"Do be careful, there are other beings moving around in this world that wish to destroy that you cherish.  You may be able to locate Sariel, I think he told me he is being staked to the Tree of Life.

A false memory appeared in Nefertiti's mind. A random day anyone would forget back in Egypt. Sariel was there as his fingers curled under her chin and his thumb pressed down on her tongue to halt her speech cutting her off in the real world.

"Tell her where I am and I will consider it a betrayal. A mother does not need to see what I am going through at the moment."

To emulate a spell rather than his real presence encase someone was watching, Sariel finished out the false memory by purchasing Nefertiti from the slaver and broke the collar there in setting her free like a lost dream.

A evil grin crossed her face when Sariel intervened when she was telling Isis where she could locate him. It seemed that even he was lying to her when stating he wasn’t able to effect the mortal world in his present location.

Nefertiti looked into the center “It seems that your son is barring me from telling you his location she smiled as she then ran her fingers throw her hair.

“Well I think our time is done. Unless you have something of interest to say

Sariel leaned back in hammock way in the back of Nefertiti's mind. "Didn't lie. I can't touch the world from where I am. But then again I'm not The Sariel. But I'm your Sariel. An echo so to speak."

"You don't want the real Sariel touching your mind right now. You'll cook like a vampire in the sun. Its all pain and screams."

"Still, even I can't touch the world. Just you." Nef felt what must have been a thread of silk thread down her nose.

Its so endearing to know you care so much about me. she replied to the echo of Sarial in her mind.

"Well are we done here, I have to deal with another problem.

She giggled "Child of the one standing before me.   Are you not her child?

"Of her prior incarnation. I had no idea they would go through reincarnation. Not to mention there is another version of me on this world she named."

"What is interesting is she used the name. Gods are aware when their name is spoken and she isn't afraid. And in the future of the battle lost I was a titanic monster."

"To be honest the lion share of what I know of her as she is now is coming from you. This branch of me that has splintered off and started living anew has no real memory beyond just before I entered the moon on our home world."

"Tell me about your faith please."

She smiled as he tells her that the loin is coming after her.  It will not be the first and she is sure it will not be the last.

"Another time my dear. I must be going.  Do enjoy your time on the Tree of Life. she said as she did what she could to end the connection.

"Heh, even the elders of the city can't shut an echo up."

"I encourage you to stay off the streets. Milo was attacked. So a heavy hitter has moved. The streets are thick with vampires hunting anything that moves. They are armed to take out just about anything"

'You die, I die. And a stroll isn't worth dieing for." like a spiderweb a veil now separated them. He would be quiet... until something caught his interest.

Milo attacked by Hunters, what an intriguing discovery but she was sure he survived seeing that Sariel didn’t mention him being killed.

 Both Isis and her son were now silent. The building was empty and what remained of the night was short. The sun would rise soon.

As Nefertiti noticed that both her guests were gone she smiled as she invoked a power to Teleport her out of the building she was in and back into the guest room given to her by her adopt Sire.

Then she looked around to see if Milo has returned from his attack of the night.  Walking around the building to see if there was anyone here.

 When Nefertiti returned, she found that the building remained empty. With sunrise being as close as it was, it was now unlikely that Milo would return this morning.

With sunrise coming she makes her way to her room for the day and settles down for a morning rest.

Rest came.

The vast majority of vampiric rest came with nightmares. It was to be expected considering they held a grand beast within and their day-to-day life was filled with things no normal mortal had to deal with. However, there was a calm patch in her normal idle nightmares. A sandy patch of calm veiled in thin strands. There was no call, it was just something that stood out in her dream land.

When the next night began, Nefertiti was a bit shocked of her experience during the day.  It wasn't its normal horror but a calming peaceful rest.  What has happened that caused this.  Was she finding some sort of peace with her summoning the Lady Arcane and discovering it was none other than Isis.  Was it Sariel giving her some sort of pleasure and allowing her to learn what is to come.  Or was it something else.  Something growing within herself that she knows not of.  She was glad that she now had her flesh back and its now returned to its normal coloration.

Letting out a soft sigh of pleasure and relief.

She wondered if Milo has returned so she took the liberty of walking around the place calling out his name or seeing if there was any servants within this huge place.  Surely he would have someone here keeping the place up to standards, no servants?.... she wondered.

She didn't wish to become a follower of the Lady Arcane/Isis (again), it was now time for her to start working on her own Divinity and allowing it to GROW.

"Well that is certainly a life quest worth chasing." Sariel's voice moved with her as if she was the one speaking in his voice. "Is it the title you are looking for or is it the power that is assumed?"

"What is the cause of your end goal here?"

Nefertiti shook her head as it seemed the veil has been lifted and Sariel is awake.  Another heavier sigh escapes her lips this time as she listens to the Echo in her mind.

"Has it not always been?  Have you not given me the means and the way to gain more of my Divinity? she said as she walked down a lonely hallway.

"There is a cause that has an effect.  I was awaken as a Demi-Goddess, correct.  The effect is to become whole.  I'm sure after your rebirth you might of wondered that as well. she said with a smile.  Knowing a bit of his past and possibly some of his future.

"I gave you the road before you got body-snatched. Back when you met the core real Sariel. You've transformed too many times in such a small span for Ambrosia to do much any more without your old divine ember." A memory bubbled of when she was meeting her old goddess in the dead lands. When she spat out the ember of power. "There was something like a containment spell on it to keep it in place. Even if you managed to piss off Necro's again that divine ember is toast."

"There are ways to still do it, but right now your strings are dragging behind you. Waiting for someone to tug."

"If you want to be whole, who is Nefertiti? Do you even still want to be her, or to be something new?"

Nefertiti's eyebrow arched at his mentioning of her having a body snatched.  If only, if his mother wasn't such a bitch who sent her Heirophant to try to kill her or even allow her to try to take what wasn't hers. Divinity...

I still have a bit of Divinity within me, can't you feel? she asked as she wondered what all could he really sense in her.

As you mentioned, I have transformed many ways and so in the end I would be a new being.  One that would still have her Divinity and a touch of something else. she smiled "What that other part is unknown to us at the moment, but if I want to uncover things I will have to do things a lot different.

She stopped moving and wondered for a moment "You was with me when I saw that being of unknown Power.  What do you think of it? she smiled "And what do you think about his words about me draining four more of those Synthetics to gain that eye?

Nefertiti's felt something akin to a head shake no some place in her awareness "Telling you yes or no at this point would be dipping into valuable information. Before I go telling you what's there and my opinions on the bitty thing you ran into, I want an oath and apology."

"If you want any real help I will ask you to apologize for attempting to throw me under the cart and letting my mother know my location and your promise on your power that you will not divulge information about me."

"Then I will help facilitate your transformation as is my nature."

Nefertiti gave an odd expression as she would hoped that her words to his mother would be words of wisdom and for her help to somehow get him freed.

"What I told your mother wasn't meant to be petty.  I thought she would best to help you get out of what your into.  I have no way of doing it or knowing where your location is. she thought and she was sure he could sense it. "I would believe you would be more grateful in my words to her. sighing "But it seemed that my kindness was taken the wrong way.


"We must be clear on this part about divulging information about you.  Who is this referring to.  Your mother or any being?

"Last time my mother saw me I was a god. From that point, I have transformed twice so far as this version goes. The more normal people know about me the worse things can get to the point that my name is poison to the mind."

"Someone like you is more resistant due to how you started but there are some things I will withhold until you won't go mad with it. If I took you to the bottom of the rabbit hole you would be spitting spiders for the rest of your days."

"You could talk about the Echo you carry, but you cant tell people about the core real Sariel. If Ruby showed up it would be far worse for everyone. The core is a thing, less a person. You're talking about the idea of transformation given will, who became more than a god."

"I need your word, and it will be binding. I have few other choices."

Nefertiti nods her head "Do tell, what is your nature?  So that we are on the same page of understanding what transformation I want to become.  If your nature is not what I want.  Some Gods like to play trickery in their words.  Your mother does and so does your good Doctor. she said in her mind only to make sure that if she did agree she wouldn't end up with a broken promise.

"I am education and transformation of our prior world. My nature is to first grow and transform then to foster the same in others. Second to keep the spark of life going as it is so rare in the universe. If all life dies there is no knowledge or transformation."

"Consent is my means. I could turn you into an angel or a screaming beast, but it isn't real growth or transformation without consent."

"It is my nature to protect the next generation. Children are sacred, they are the core of education, growth, and transformation."

"Lastly, I stand opposed to the theft of power. As a god they sealed my power three times and each time I broke free. I don't mind setting opposition or a counter to power, but I will take offense to theft."

Nodding her head "I will not divulge your location to Ruby or anything about your core to any being. she said these words and she hope that it wasn't some sort of trick he was playing. She was aware of his cunning ways.

There was a shift and a working of power, something that slipped through thoughts like rainwater through fingers. "Forwarding the agreement to the core." There was a mental shifting that very quickly closed off. Even though there was only a moment the other end of that connection was in such a condition that it shut the echo up for a few moments.

"As to that fallen celestial. It's a least of what is called an Arbiter. A function of THIS reality-given will. I trust that it is afraid of this machine. I do not trust that the means it offers at all benefit you in the long term. A lasting stain on your soul for a sight that you could get by just getting a lense that contains the souls needed."

"Liches can use crystals to contain souls. If souls are the source of this sight why not just get a spyglass that does the same thing? Less smut on you for it." Sairel appeared to her sight and her sight alone. He gave her a dancer's bow and held out a hand. "You've entered into a dangerous playing field of things that rewrite reality rather than cast spells. Each one you deal with writes their name on you like so much ink falling from their pen."

"They will know I am here now if they look hard enough. Mind to warn them if they start looking, even at the power of an Echo they could so be blinded for looking."

"The next question will cost you an answer to, 'Do you even still want to be Nefertiti or something else and new entirely?'."

There was a lot happening and she tried her best to understand what was going on in her mind.  Sariel was causing a lot of his own impressions in her mind.  It was a bit odd to have something come to collect the agreement and send it to the core, causing the Echo to shut down.  That was a moment of pleasure to know that it could be made silent.

Then something else happened, as if Sariel himself was coming through.

She listened to what it had to say about the Arbiter and that only gave her something else she would need to study and understand about. A heavy sigh was heard even in her mind space.

"I am Nefertiti, who else would I be.  Just as you are Sariel.  Reborn in different forms.  I will change surely but still I am Nefertiti. she smiled as a area of her mind light up light a bright light.  Something came to her subconscious.

"Sariel, The Harbinger, Soul of the Moon, The twice fallen god, lord of the shard tower, the last wall. Names, titles, and identities are put on and taken off as they so fit you." He said a number of other names but the mind refused to hear them, remember them, or think about them.

"For me, it's not about being a god, a monster, or even power itself. It's about the next phase. That is why no Sariel has ever reincarnated. If Nefertiti is whom you wish to be, then so shall it be."

"So, next question?"

Nefertiti began to walk around the building she was in till she found a place to sit down and gather a piece of paper and a writing utensil to write things down with.  She took a moment to concentrate on what she wanted to say next, or her next question so to say.

You mentioned that there is still a way for me to still do it.  To become a whole Goddess.

You also mentioned about my strings are dragging behind me, waiting for someone to tug.

My Question to you is How do I become a Whole Goddess? she wanted to see how much information he was willing to answer.

There was a bubbling deep in her memory as Sariel dug through. "When you first awoke here at that point you look to me as the seedling of divinity with a dash of a consumption curse."

More rolling and bubbles. "There is a small patch when you became a mage."

The rolling memories stopped and Sariel was inside the memory of her capture as if he was in the room. "And here you became a statue. The doctor attempted to mimic what first happened too you but its like a painter painting the sun. No light, its just paint."

"Back home the term for you would be blood puppet or Shabti as you are now. You've changed so far true divinity the way you had it is a no go, you'll burn up."

"As transformation goes the only way to what you want is forward. Right now you are as close to a God as what the doctor could do emulating the real process. So far as I can see it. If you want the divine spark you've got to have tinder for it to set to flame."

"Step one in building that fire is often digging the pit but you've got that. Then its gathering the stones so you don't burn down the forest. That requires consensus of reality. Shows of power that cement in the mind you're clearly a unique divine power."

"Could just turn you into one but I don't think that's a good idea. You don't strike me as one with a taste for a pyramid of power anymore."

Nefertiti listened to all what Sariel had to say or shall we say explain, but deep inside of her she knew that she still had a Spark of Divinity or she wouldn't be able to use some of her Powers that was of Divinity.

Taking a deep breath but in truth she didn't need to, she is still getting used to being a Kindred.  Freakin Undead.

She focused her thoughts and her mind and wanted to see if she was able to Transform into her Apocalyptic Form.  If she was able to do this then it would show that her Spark was still within her.

"So would the stones metaphoric be Followers?

 Nefertiti underwent her transformation but it was different from last time. The feeling of power flowing through her was there but it was not the same.

Sariel watched her transformation and shook his head. "You're looking at a wheel and calling it a cart." She caught a mental sound of fingers snapping and her form shifted again. Whisps of crimson hair fell into her field of view as her Apocyliptic form turned off. There was another snap and her form turned back on. "Forms are not a sign of your divinity. It's a fundamental control of an aspect of the world. You are the author of how it operates."

"You'll get there in time. Even the least god who controls every aspect of a pond is still a god in that realm." He snapped again in the back of her mind and she saw the world with an additional set of eyes. She had massive grey skinned claws attached to an arm that would make a werewolf look weak. Another snap as she was back to normal. "I am transformation of an alien world. I dont have to work spells, or even try to control the aspects of transformation."

"That is where you need to look. Start with A field of magic like your unique blood magic. Become its author and then later expand."

"As to the stones, followers feed you but cant make you divine. The world needs to see you as divine. The stories of heros become legends. Legend becomes myth. Myth becomes divine."

At first Nefertiti wasn't sure that she was able to transform into her Apocalyptic Form, but as she did there was a strange feeling about it.  IT wasn't the same as she did before, something was off, something has changed.

All this time she thought she could feel her Divinity that was within her but was it that or was it just her mind playing tricks on her.  It was a sad feeling, it was something that she now regrets allowing herself to be captured by Carmilla and the doctor doing his experiment upon her.  She even went to the thought of when she allowed the Goddess whom she worshiped to remove the stuff out of her body to replace a soul in it.  He goal of becoming closer to her Goddess was a determination wasted.

All this brought tears of blood to run down her soft cheeks.

At first she didn't even noticed that Sariel was changing her form, or the snapping of his fingers in her mind.  She then shook her head "I will do that, Sariel. her words were not as they were before but filled with less drive, less determination, less hope.

Then she sat in the chair like a porcelain doll, not moving not breathing. Just sitting.

And thats why gods never said it all or gave what was asked for. "The wind in your sails has left you then? So many times the will of another imposed on you. Way back in time, here in the city when you first woke up, your words twisted before your once goddess, a doctor forcing his changes."

"And now a silly monster lays bare a road you can travel to get what you want if you so choose."

"Thats a whole world of tribulations. Would you rather I give you a wish? The road of Mutato, the road to self perfection isn't worth it. To change into your ideal is never worth the pain and suffering."

"But you're worth it. Not some divine power or even something you love can make the road of transformation worth it. But who you are makes it worth."

He was sitting on the table infont of her as color was draining away from her. "What will you make of it? The truth that shattered your world or the unveiling that made you remind the world you've always been a God within it?" He was directly interested if she would break or grow from this.

Nefertiti sat there still unmoved as the conversation continue onward in her mind. “I wasn’t born a Goddess but as a Queen to rule over the lands of my people. It was my Goddess that forsaken me and claimed me as a traitor. She paused briefly. “My rebirth granted me the gift of Divinity so I am still a Goddess. I only need to determine my focus. As you kindly keep reminding me. there was a small smirk upon her face but it also faded quickly.

She listed to his words and something caught her interest “a monster”. He called himself it but why.

“Sariel, with all your Knowledge and with all your Echoes moving about. she looked into the Echo of her own mind “Am I the only being capable of my gift in Blood Magic?

Sariel smiled, "If you think this is bad you should see what I am doing to the vampires who feed exclusively on children or the ones with no potential at all."

The Sariel within her mind was still relaxing in a silk hammock in that veiled calm spot way deep down. "The Echos really haven't spread wide, matter of time though. But..." there was a bit of a pause. "So far as any echo can tell most vampires have the ability to learn Blood Magic but not the knowledge to do so."

"As to that Thaumaturgy you have in you... no one so far as I can see. It appears a unique middle ground. To get more detail I would need to vastly expand the Echos."

"I've only known one vampire with anything like what you have. He is enjoying his final rest now."

Nefertiti was appalled by the thought of any Kindred feeding off children only If you would need any assistance in dealing with them. I’m always available she smiled. As if a small spark of life was returning back into her statue form.

She continued to listen to her Echo and it did bring another smile to her face when it mentioned that she was the only one he knew of with her Unique power.

Now she has somewhere to Start her focusing on and to master it. She also would need to spread her Divine actions upon this world. In doing so she would need to upscale her actions.

There has been a few major deeds she did with the Cabal that should of helped started some spread of her accomplishments.

It was sad to hear that the other is enjoying his Final Rest, but why did Sariel say enjoying.   One wouldn’t enjoy his final rest. Unless.  ….

"Last night Milo was attacked and the next night your telling me that a Grand player is in town.  That sounds a bit like calling in for help to go after his attackers and with hearing that the vampires are out killing.  He must really have a lot of pull in this city.  Why is he not the Prince, I wonder. she spoke to no one in particular just speaking out loud in her mind.

"I have no other questions at the moment Sariel.  YOU have given me a lot to go with and I need to go out and start collecting my Stones so I don't burn down my forest. she giggled but this time it came out of her mouth.

"Do you have any other questions I can help you with, before your veil comes up again?

Sariel nodded a few times. "Odin. He was the one god other than myself on the old world that did not require souls to survive. He was my brother in arms when it came to fighting a towering threat. I know Baulder is here, I dont know if his father made it."

There was a puzzled look upon her face for a moment for she didn't understand what that had to do with her revelation of herself.  She already knew about Odin, but was Sariel asking for help in locating him.

"You have me at a lost. she softly said "There was no question included.

Nefertiti had to wonder what caused the wide jovial smile upon the face of Sariel but at the moment she wasn't sure.  It was odd how he stated "keep your eye" and not your eyes.  She looked at the Echo for a moment.  His riddles were always something she enjoyed...

"Of course, time is something we have.  As long as I stay alive. she smiled.

Now was a good time for her to have that darn things Milo called a phone.  She remembered giving it back to him and now she knows she will have to acquire one for herself, for moments like this.
