Milo took Nefertiti and headed down the building and out into a limo. He got inside and waited for Nefertiti to join him. Once inside, the driver began to go. "Before we begin your education, I will say this. Firstly, your acquaintance has informed me of Carmilla's fate. You are not to speak of it. If asked, feign ignorance. If there is no body, there is no proof and you are cleared of suspicion. This is my first lesson to you.

 We are heading to close out my party. Every Kindred in the city is currently there. You are not to speak to them right now as I have not yet had the chance to instruct you on Kindred etiquette. If you are spoken to, be polite. Insulting a Kindred, regardless of their station, is the same as a declaration of war and Kindred hold grudges for centuries. You will find that most Kindred will behave much the same as Carmilla if slighted, so, unless you have both the resources to spend on that fight and the desire to expend them, politeness even when angry is required. This is my second lesson to you."

Nefertiti followed Milo out of the building and into a very large metal moving box.  She took a seat and listened to him as he gave his teachings to her.  For a moment she didn't understand what was going on but then she had to speak up.

"Do you think it would be prudent if I ask to not attend this party. she showed her arm and leg to him as he can see that most of her flesh has been removed from her body.  "I'm sure one of the Elders there may be wise enough to know that this is a result of Carmilla's power and it could bring up even more conversations in my direction.

Nefertiti was no fool and she didn't wish to be around any Kindreds at this moment, so she was hoping to find a way to avoid being around them.

"Would you have a spare small room for me to ponder my thoughts alone? she asked

 Milo nodded. "That was the idea, yes. However, you will be staying in one of the rooms in the building where the party was held. Thus there is always a chance for accidental interaction.

 … which brings me to my next topic. Most younger Kindred ignore this custom but those who are a few hundred years old or more still abide by it. If a Kindred introduces himself or herself by full name and lineage, you are expected to do so as well.

 You will respond with your full name, clan, and your Sire. In your case, you will refer to me as your 'acting Sire' so as not to confuse. Care to give it a try?"

Nefertiti's eyebrow arched slightly at the mentioning of her full name she stood there for a moment and wondered how was the right way of saying such a title.

"Nefertiti, Daughter of Amenhotep I
 looking at Milo for a moment as she thought of what Clan she was, was she even a member of a Clan "What clan do I say, seeing that I'm not of any clan that is known of these days.  Alfred informed me of such things when he was taking out my soul.

 Milo smiled ever-so-slightly. "Then say it. Claiming a lost Bloodline is a boon to your status, if used correctly. Just be sure not to try bringing it up in casual conversation. You will come across as pretentious if you do."

Nefertiti began to speak up again

"I am "Nefertiti, Daughter of Amenhotep I, of Clan Tremere, acting Sire Milo she stopped again and asked "What is your full name or would Milo be adequate.

 Milo blinked at you a couple times "Tremere?"

 He suddenly burst into a fit of laughter but he raised a hand and quickly regained his composure. "I'm sorry, it's just that your clan and mine were mortal enemies during the centuries leading up to the demise of both. The irony that we are now acting Sire and Childe is a bit much."

 He chuckled again, still amused but made an effort to reclaim his previous demeanor. "In all other social situations, you are to refer to me as simply 'Milo'. Only in this specific circumstance are you to use my real name.

 I am Vlad Tepes Dracul IV of Clan Tzimisce, Son of Vlad Tepes Dracula III, Childe of Valeria Dracul, former king of Wallachia and founder of the noble house of Drakwla."

Nefertiti's eyebrow arched when Milo began to burst out in laughter.  It seemed that this joke was a private one for himself since the history of the Kindred was a blank sheet to her.  That would be something that Milo himself would have to rectify.

She listened to his full name and it meant nothing to her for the timeline that she was born was before most of any history these Kindreds would know of. She was old, she was very old but no one would ever truly understand what she is dealing with.

With her question answered she still had to wonder if he was going to force her to go to the party or not.  An accidental interaction may be highly impossible if she was able to lock herself in a room.  And she still had the power of doing so without a key.  She smiled to him for he didn't know of all her special abilities and in time she would surely grow to learn more.  Ones that would hinder the act of knowing her location by any synthetics.  Plus she needed to return back to Egypt to see what all she can uncover and then there was that nasty cult of Isis she needed to deal with...... Cult.. She did start one of her own and she would need to find new followers to enhance her Powers of Divinity.

 The moving metal box turned in front of a large, 7 story building. It was much larger in width than many of the buildings and there were lights in many of the windows. "One last thing before we get out. I gave mine out of respect that you gave yours, but including your mortal lineage or accomplishments as a mortal are generally considered to be both bad form and a sign of weakness.

 Those who carry mortal attachments into their dealings with other Kindred are considered easy prey by many."

 As the moving box parked, she could see why Milo said that there could be accidental interactions. There were Kindred outside in the front yard talking and they all seemed to have spread out over the entire complex. "It will take a few days for me to prepare a room befitting a Childe of mine, so you will need to make due with a guest room for the time being. Now, do not forget that I am only to be addressed as 'Milo', don't speak unless spoken to, and I will work to get you to a guest room as quickly as I can."

 As they made their way to the door, they were greeted with polite nods and waves.

 They made it through the front door and found that there were many more Kindred on the bottom floor. "Hey Milo!"

 When Nefertiti turned, she beheld what was perhaps the most repulsive creature she'd ever seen. Not only that, he stank like the sewers. Milo turned to greet him with a polite smile and a hearty handshake. His demeanor changed almost instantly, "John! It's good to see you. I hope you're enjoying the party?"

 "It's great. I haven't had real Vitae in nearly a month. The artificial stuff can only get you so far. So, I finally got my shop up and running. You think we can trade some favors and you can do something about... this?"

 He waved his hand in front of his face as if to indicate it. "And who's this?"

 Milo grinned. "The Prince asked me to be a foster Sire for this one. She was the one Carmilla was after but it seems Victor and Carmilla have solved their differences now. I'll tell you what, get the word out that the Blood Hunt is off and I'll help you out. Just be aware that I can't get rid of everything. You know how it is with bloodline flaws."

 John nodded and grinned a sharp, toothy smile. "Sure thing Milo! So, when should I be over?"

 Milo made his appointment and continued on. Fortunately, they were able to get to an unoccupied spare room before he was stopped again. It was sparse, with only a bed and a dresser. The closet was filled with an assortment of clothes in varying sizes. "You should be able to find something to wear other than a tarp in there."

Nefertiti looked at Milo before exiting the metal box "Do you have any others that claim to be your Childe? she asked in a curious manner to know more about him and in time she was sure to discover more when he was willing to share.

Nodding her head on the fact that she can only call him Milo.

Nefertiti looked at John with a sweet smile as she inspected his problem, the good thing is that she stopped breathing once Alfred turned her into a Kindred so the smell that was lingering in the air didn't effect her but with a tilt of her head and closely looking at his face she wondered what was his Bloodline curse.

When they made it to the sparse room she looked to see if there was an a jointed room where she could bath. "This is perfect till your able to achieve a room fitting for your foster Childe. she replied then waited for him to leave before moving to the bed.

Once he was gone she moved to first lock the door, if there was a way of locking it and moved to the bed.  Laying down she looked up to the ceiling and then closed her eyes briefly as she wanted to see if she was able to use her Divine Powers to start the healing process of her flesh at a speeding rate. (Demonic healing Powers)

This would give her some sort of understanding if she still possessed some of her Divine Powers and she also needed to learn how to advance some of them to make herself more Powerful for what ever is to come in the future.

 Milo nodded. "I did, but the Tremere killed them all."

 He gave Nefertiti a slight bow as he turned to leave. As she tried (and failed) to heal her body, she could hear the sounds of moving outside. The room had a small bathroom and shower complete with miniature travel soaps and shampoos (not that Nefertiti had any real idea how to use them).

 After another hour or so, the sounds had faded and all that remained were the echoes of a space far too large for two people.

Nefertiti looked at him with as sadden face, but she also wondered why would it bring a laughter out of him if the Tremere killed all his children.  Just knowing that she possess the bloodline that killed all his Children was interesting, but not funny.  But then again Fate has a way of changing ones life.  Surely she was an example of that.

Once a follower of Isis, an Lector Priestess.  Then an Kindred tried to turn her into one of them.  But failed and caused her death.  Then to awaken many centuries later as a demi-goddess, to have that removed to be a mortal mage and now she ends up as a Kindred.  Trapped to walk the nights and never in the daylight like Sal.  It slightly brought a bit of anger in her eyes just the thought of Sal and his betrayal.

The Cabal - she took a while to think on that and if she was really a member of it anymore.  Was she to return to them and help them in whatever crazy mess that Talion might place them in.  Her head shook "no".

With the failure of trying to heal her wounds only meant that this process would take a very long time to heal, and if she continued to heal using her Vitae then she would soon need to replenish what she has lost.  Her eyebrow arched as she remembered that John mentioned that he was glad that the party had real Vitae.  She would have to ask Milo for some of that when she sees him the next night.  Letting him know that his foster Childe was hungry.

The night was surely ending soon and then daylight would be upon them.  Taking a moment to look through the closet at the clothing available to her.  Placing a nice dress upon the bed while she then moved to run water to wash the grim off her bones and face.  Afterwards she then wore something light for her resting time and placed the dress back into the closet not to ruin its cleanliness.

 Daytime came and Nefertiti fell into a deep slumber, awakening when the sun had set fully. From her room, she could hear the sounds of people downstairs.

 OOC: this one is short, I know but you have the option to explore or look into the sounds :P

Nefertiti rises the next night and expends a few more of her Vitae to continue the healing process and to wake from a night of rest.  It seemed that there was a lot for her to deal with and understand and she needed to speak with her adopted Sire before her hunger gets the best of her.

Putting on the dress that she picked out and searching for a pair of long sleeved gloves to help hide her skeletal arms.  The dress was full length to the ground so it helped to hide her legs which was the main thing she was hoping to do.

She stood at her door and allowed herself to enhance her senses to see if she can hear what is going on before opening the door.

Activating Heightened Senses

Trying to determine if the sounds are from more Kindreds continuing the party from last night or a chance to hear if they are the cleaning crew.

 As she drew nearer to the source of the sound, she could hear Milo making small talk with an individual she did not recognize. Should she look, she would sense immediately that the person was human and not Kindred.

 The room he was in was a setup filled with lights and mirrors with various implements she did not recognize. However, their use was easy to surmise. He was using them to tattoo the individual in the chair. There were also implements for the cutting and styling of hair nearby. It seemed Milo had a regular job outside of his dealings with the Kindred.

 Once he put the finishing touches on his tattoo, collected his money, and the man left, he approached Nefertiti. "Good evening. I trust you slept well? That dress suits you nicely. Now, is there anything you would like to ask before we get started?"

Nefertiti listened and was intrigued at the fact that a human was in the place. She wasn’t sure which floor the room that Milo gave her was on. But as she made her way downstairs she waited till the human was gone before making herself visible.

“Good evening to you as well.  I did have a nice restless sleep and the dress is most appropriated. taking a moment to look at the gloves for hiding her arms.

Her eyebrow arched at the question for there was plenty of questions she wanted to ask. But the first one “Would you happen to have any extra real Vitae for me. I don’t want to cause any trouble if I become hungry. I seem to be expended most to heal my body of its recent encounter.

 Milo nodded. "I do, but not much remains after the party. You see, it was necessary to obtain such a shipment to entice the Kindred to gather and nearly all of it was consumed during the two nights they were here. I should have enough for you tonight, but you will need to switch to artificial blood substitute after this until you can secure some feeding stock. It is what I've been consuming myself."

 Milo lead her upstairs and into a walk-in cooler (just like he had said, it was nearly empty) and gave her a pouch filled with blood.

 As she drank, Milo spoke. "This place is my home. It also serves as the place where I entertain guests. I also run a business here. My employees are ghouls, humans who have consumed my vitae. They run the day to day affairs of my business. They are barbers, tattoo artists, and plastic surgeons. I'm only generally called to fix botched jobs... not from my people, mind you, they are all quite well trained... but from other businesses who, for whatever reason, could not live up to their customer's expectations.

 The humans who come here are just regular people. Make certain to hide your nature from them."

Nefertiti looked at Milo when he mentioned the artificial blood, giving a nod for she remembered how they were first drinking it at Sal's party till she offered to give a few drops of her blood to make more.  The thought of Sal's party also brought up memories of the God Sariel.  She needed to contact him only for talking not to summon him.

"That would be appreciated, Milo she replied as she followed him to where it was located.

Again she nods her head to make sure to hide her true nature from any humans that might be present.  It was a simple task but it called for using Vitae.  It seemed that her now found life will be requiring a lot of Vitae.  Taking a soft breath she then looked at Milo.  Taking sips from the bag she was pleased of the taste right away but still she had to get used to drinking it cold.

The time with the werewolves was interesting, and that they had bag of blood on hand. Maybe she needed to reach out to them and make some sort of business preposition. But again, that blood was very intoxicating.  She smiled

Milo mentioned a few things and she didn't fully understand what a barber, tattoo artist and plastic surgeon was but she would have time to look that up in books.

"Do you happen to know of a nice place where I might be able to consider as a Haven when I'm am able to leave? she asked but in truth she wanted to seek out Carmilla's lair for any Rituals or Spells that she might be capable of learning.

 As he exited the cooler, he began to head downstairs to the foyer. "We'll worry about that when I've made sure that you can navigate Kindred properly. Since most of the city has been damaged, a renovation is likely to take several weeks and I still need to set you up with contacts and find out what you're good at so that you can start accumulating money and favors for yourself.

 Most interactions between Kindred are transactional. Those that are not are territorial. Sometimes they're both. Unless you have something to trade such as Goods, Services, of Favors, you will get absolutely nowhere in Kindred society.

 I provide services in exchange for favors and I trade those favors to Kindred to get what I need. So tell me, what kinds of things are you good at? What can you make or provide for others that can earn you favors?"

Nefertiti was raised up as a princess that was also a member of the cult of Isis, she never really had much to think about and her life was already planned out for her by the Pharaoh, her father.  Her skills were focused on those task and she never really learned how to do any skillful things, which the servants were trained.

"I do not know what I would be good at, there never was time for me to focus on such things. I was a Lector Priestess.  Taking care of the needs our Goddess was my duties. she replied and took another moment to think on herself.

What was she good at doing? She was capable of casting powerful spells now that Alfred did what he did to her.  She was good at getting people to tell them their darkest secrets and she was even able to dance good.

She was way beyond normal with her unearthly beauty and she could also heal the wounds of another or diseases.  That was a special gift of hers but it also had a cost.

 Milo paused and turned to look at Nefertiti. "Well, now you have all the time in the world to learn something. Unskilled Kindred get only grunt work: deliveries, dangerous and illegal jobs, jobs that only expendable people get. Granted, those can net you some major favors but I personally find the thought of someone in my care being treated as expendable to be unacceptable. Still, it's your choice. If you choose to try your hand at a craft or profession, I'll see to it that the materials and knowledge are made available to you.

 For now, we're going to a 24 hour furniture store. We'll pick out furnishings for your room. The guy on shift tonight knows about us but anyone else that might be there does not. try to keep attention to yourself minimal. I'll handle anyone who gets too curious."

 He handed her $2,000. "Courtesy of the Prince. This is your limit. Any money you get beyond this will be what you earn for yourself."

 He turned and headed out the door, holding the door open for her for both the building and the limo.

Nefertiti looked at Milo as he told her about the Kindred society and how she will need to learn how to work her way around it.

There was something she wanted to learn, and it had to do with Time.  She wanted to find a way to help Michael live a bit longer.

"Milo you seem to be a well knowledgeable Kindred.  Do you know of all the types that exist? she asked as they made their way out of the building and into the big box.

When he handed her the money she looked at it as if "what"
"What is this?  Paper from the Prince for me to do what.

 Milo shook his head. "There are so many variants and bloodlines across the world that it would take someone specialized in the topic to know all the answers. I do know most of the more common ones and the ones that I am likely to encounter during my night-to night business. Why do you ask?"

 When she puzzled over the paper, he paused and furrowed his brow and chuckled. "This is money. We no longer weigh money by weight. Instead, we use 'denominations'. The number printed on the piece of paper denotes its worth."

Nefertiti smiled to him "I want to make sure I don't upset any of the Elders that I may meet during my long life span. Plus as you mentioned yesterday that my bloodline destroyed yours so I should know more about the past that I didn't get to live.

"Intriguing.  I guess I must learn more about this new money system as well.  I'm not sure if your aware but I'm very new to all this  she waves her hand lifestyle.

Looking down at the money that was given to her she wondered where was she suppose to place it during the night.  Was she to hold on to it always.
