You know in the Fiend Folio there is a comeliness stat now so maybe we all get to roll 8 keeping 7 (a possibility to get 1 more shot at a decent stat roll for the two already rolled).

OK, I am not sure why some boxes got checked but here are my rolls - I adjusted the opps checked box rolls plus I somehow miscounted and did an extra at the end I took out - again sorry.

7 officially recorded stats:       6 stats to use after dropping lowest:
14, 10, 8, 12, 9, 12, 14      =    14, 10, 12, 9, 12, 14

Not bad, average rolls.

17:21, Today: BN rolled 12 using 3d6, rerolling ones with rolls of 2,5,5.  For the Array #7.

17:21, Today: BN rolled 10 using 3d6, rerolling ones with rolls of 5,2,3.  For the Array #5.
17:21, Today: BN rolled 8 using 3d6, rerolling ones with rolls of 2,2,4.  For the Array #3.
17:21, Today: BN rolled 15 using 3d6, rerolling ones with rolls of 5,6,{1}4.  For the Array #4.

The rules for comeliness for AD&D 2E have been printed in Issue 89 of Polyhedron. You can find it online.

Hey now! I called Bard 1st,

I am looking at the Gypsy-Bard Kit (If Kits are allowed) from the Bard's Handbook. I really like the Nomad aspect of the kit, and the bonus Non-Weapon Profiecenies that it gets. Even better if I combine in with a Rhennee Human ethnicity. Something about them intrigue me.

Ok, I'll make a summary of the character creation and include the score sets.
Let's start thinking of the classes and races you want. And a name, don't forget a name.

Also if you all want to come from the same city, different ones, what city to start from and if you want to do your travel to Hommlet the quick but hard way or the relatively safe but slow way.

But DM! I can't think of a class yet without knowing how good or bad I am at stuff, I need my stats. :)

But... Since I am playing a Thief in another AD&D game, and a Druid in another. I will likely go with something different than those two.

Are Kits from the Complete books going to be allowed?

I rolled a set of stats too. We are just waiting for BU's, but at this point you have four to choose from.

Kits are fine. But just kits, this is my first 2e game in a while and I'm far from an expert on the splat out there.

DM, will you allow for the different subraces for Humans, in Greyhawk, as presented in the Greyhawk Players Guide?

If the Optional Racial Ability Adjustments end up being allowed. I can qualify for Bard if I go Oeridian and get the +1 to Dex.

Oeridian Bard (+1 Dex -1 Wis)

Charisma 15
Intelligence 13
Dexterity 11 (12)
Strength 11
Constitution 07
Wisdom 11 (10)

EDIT - Ouch, Bards can only be Human or Half-Elf. So.. Being the Bard is gonna be up to the DM and if he lets us use the Optional Racial Adjustments.

[Hard pass from me on the triple five!  I know I rolled it, but I'll gladly be yoinking one of the other sets]

I'm leaning toward cleric or fighter (but sort of want to hold off until I see the last set of stats ... that might change everything).

Character-wise, though, the seed of an idea is forming.  I think I'd like to have my character be a Flannae woman [name TBD] whose people settled in Elredd (just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Pomarj).  She'd be familiar with the humanoids that people the southern lands.  In between border skirmishes and slaver raids ... I'm sure that there was some small amount of legitimate trade that occurred between her nomadic peoples and the less civilized humanoids.  Probably picked up one of their tongues, too.

It would be a stretch to say that she is fan of the fell races, though.  Far more tolerant — of their boorish behaviors and raids and such — than the average Suloise though.

As a Flan, she'd have a darker complexion [eyes, skin, hair] and she'd be at home in a wilderness setting and less so in a civilized one.  She would certainly have a frontier spirit, and would have no problem telling you what she thinks about something.

Yea, I see those stats, good for you.  I' look over what options I like and get back to you.

Either way, a male character.   name will be depending on race.

So far we have:
