When a mage levels he automatically learns one spell.  How would you like to handle it?

We choose?  You choose?  Random?

So, I think there should be some logic to it, so it just doesn't pop into your head. Maybe in your case Wizardholme sends you a new spell. Or Yaotl speaks to her ancestors in her dreams. Or Ali comes up with a new formula. I think choosing is the way to go though, it starts letting you focus your spells in the direction you want. so go ahead and pick what spell you want. You can pick Named spelled now if you'd like.

Virius has been sort of Light focused, offensively speaking.  Let's see that trend continue with: Color Spray

Also ... since he leveled up, I'd like to take another crack at learning Armor from Yaotl's headdress (assuming the offer is still on the table).  I tried during level one to learn that one, but the dice hated on me.

Dumb question.  Now that we have a share of loot being set aside for party expenses ... is that being tracked anywhere?

Nope.

I'm more interested in the Ring of Protection when it comes to 'armour'  ;-)

Anything heavier than leather impeeds my Dervish dance...hence why only something like magical banded would be worth wearing.  Sell the brigandine.

Althiöf hasn't worn any armor to date.

We'll we are trying to spread around the magic to make the best results.

I'd love the Ring but don't have to have it.  Cloak of Elvenkind though could work to help him surprise enemies if he pulls point duty.

I have some thoughts on what goes where, but it would be stepping on toes ... so Virius will keep his two coppers to himself.  :)

Note: A name being on this list indicates announced interest only.  If we end up with more than one PC wanting the same piece of gear, we'll have to burn that bridge when we get to tit.

Group wise, one in combat should get the ring until they have magical armor then it should go to one without magical armor or a mage.

Broach of Shielding tactically goes to a spell caster as magic missile can ruin a spell and hurt a mage quickly.

Cloak of elven kind probably to an elf first I think it gives huge bonuses that way elf a thief err scout or ranger type then mage

Bag of Holding anyone though whomever is handling the group treasure could be it.

Now that I noted that, Ali would like to go for the ring, the broach, the bag of holding.

I have a DM question too:   Could Ali use the potion of Climbing to learn how to make them - get the recipe and start to try to make it once he has the ingredients??  I know he is way way below his level to do that by the book but could there be an opportunity to do such things early if he has a potion to do it?  Note he has the Spider Climb spell he knows as reference too to make it more plyable to learn the recipe?
