Re: ▶ OOC Conversations

^^ This is pretty cool.  I haven't been in a game that used this function before.

I like how you can add a regular word here and there.  Like you can only get snatches and glimpses of the sentence.

Here is what Althiof's last post looked like to folks that don't speak that language:

Rutei Korkas, roca aiur erfo anmi?

Re: ▶ OOC Conversations

Yeah, RPOL is awesome, there are a few changes I would make. The Avatars need an entire Overhaul, and if they somehow incorporating a virtual map into each game, woah, game breaking.

Re: ▶ OOC Conversations

My only gripe (and I admit it's a minor one) is that once you hop into a game ... you sort of 'stop being' your screen name.

I guess that level of anonymity is cool ... but on other sites I've gamed on before, it was nice to get a sense of who you were playing with.  You end up seeing a few of the same faces here-and-there and you get to join games with people you know ... that kind of thing.

Re: ▶ OOC Conversations

Yeah, Have you seen that RPOL has a Discord now? A lot of folks have joined and started talking over there. I've wanted to connected an RPOL to discord for while. but not all people use discord, and some refuse to install it. But instant notifications are nice. I know someone over there was working on another app for android phones/tablets to notify people of new posts. That is my only real issue, is having to refresh to see new stuff pop up. Having something notify me would be cool.

Re: ▶ OOC Conversations

^^ There's an RSS feed, I think?  (But I'm not an internet guy ... so I really have no idea).

I've used Discord in the past, but I'm not ready to sing its praises just yet.  Small crowds make for a better experience IMHO, any channel with too much going on is going to be pure chaos.  8,000 messages, 40 side conversations, etc.

Re: ▶ OOC Conversations

Yeah, I've dabbled in RSS before, it also has the pop out notifier which is set at 15m intervals, which for a fast paced game is too long lol,
