Re: The Funeral of a Friend....

Korkas looks up at the half-orc "Runt, Runt. I ain't no runt you flea bitten, green skinned, pig-faced sewer rat" his voice carries through the inn "He's a dainty lice-ridden troll lover who is up to no good." Korkas mutters to Baklunish as he rises from his seat.

Re: The Funeral of a Friend....

Kobort looks to his friend and the two of them both laugh. Kobort then stands up from the table and looks down at the Dwarf. "If you have an issue, we can step outside and settle this." he says with a grunt. The Baklunish man takes a step back away from his friend, letting him handle this alone. Kobort is a olive skinned Half-Orc with a pig like face so the Dwarf was accurate in his taunting. He also looked like he could toss the Dwarf from here to Greyhawk City if he wanted too.

Outside the Inn

Althiöf heads back to the Inn, passing Jaroo who is outside across the street under an Apple tree. Next to him the snoring of a bear breaks the silence.

"You got more orc in you than human, pig for brains." Korkas remarks as he stairs up at him, not budging as he considers the option with the law here in town. He hadn't went looking for a fight but he wasn't one to back down from one either. He nods and makes up his mind "Sounds fun." as he takes two steps back and holds his hand out waiting for Kobart to head towards the door.

Re: The Funeral of a Friend....

Kobort laughs. "The Dwarf really wants to fight me, this outta be fun." he says to his friend. Ostler yells from the Bar. "If your gonna fight, do it outside." As the Innkeeper says this, a few of the other patrons get up and make their way outside to watch. Kobort and his friend both step outside and wait for the Dwarf. A few of the patrons stay inside, not caring about the fight about to happen, others make a circle outside the Inn with the two in the middle.

Any PCs inside that want to come outside and watch, let me know, if not, I will assume you stay inside the Inn.

Althiöf watches as a group of people from the Inn spill out into the lit area outside. Two of them look like they might be setting up for a fight.

Re: The Funeral of a Friend....

Glancing about to make sure no one would witness his travel to the apple tree, he tried to hide his unusual item behind his body as possible.  Moving to the person under the tree, but keeping some distance from the bear, he asked in as polite a voice as possible, "Excuse me, but would you be the druid I've heard about?"

Virius took note of the rising temperature in the room, motioning his head and glancing in that direction to draw Hollen's attention to the emerging fracas.  It was a bit early to intervene, as thus far only words had been exchanged, and to Virius' thinking, men — even brutes from the Pomarj — had the right to say what was on their mind.

He set his tea down and gave the argument his full attention.

Jaroo opens his eyes, you are observant enough to notice that he is likely under the influence of something, his movements are sluggish and he takes a moment to respond, but he looks up at the Dwarf smiles. "Ah, yes I am Jaroo." he says, as he lets out a heavy yawn. The bear doesn't stir at all, its snoring continues.

Re: The Funeral of a Friend....

Korkas stepped out of the inn stretching his arms and back as he walked, it's been a while since he's been in a good fight. He rolls his neck and it cracks, he's not small by any man's standard let alone a dwarfs but still he looked smaller than the half-orc. A smile, the only most have seen so far, was upon his face as his hands rested upon his bone handled blades as he looked towards Kobort "So what will it be, pig for brains?"

Re: The Funeral of a Friend....

Kobort scoffs and snorts, he reaches down and takes off the sword at his side and tosses it to Turuko. Luckily for the Dwarf, the Half-Orc isn't wearing heavy armor. The Half-Orc does a few stretches too, and then steps up towards the Dwarf.

Roll Initiative (Remember its a 1d10, Weapon Speed for Unarmed Attacks are +1.)

Kobort goes on 7

Virius' pulse began to quicken as the impending violence drew nearer.  Living as he had, among the dusty tomes of a university he had never seen two men — much less a dwarf and a half-orc — settle a problem with fisticuffs.

He tossed a sidelong glance at Tomas and Robbar, attempting to gauge where they fell on the whole topic.

Both the Ranger's were interested in watching the fight, but look prepared to step in if things take a deadly turn. Furnok on the other hand is asking Zert and Turuko if they want to wager on the outcome. Turuko of course laughs at anyone betting against the Half-Orc.

"I've got something someone said there was a chance you might be interested in, but it's something I'd rather not get out, to keep a family from some embarrassment.  It's dead, but it has acid in its body, which might be of some use."

He brought the worm around his body and showed the druid.  "It attacked me and burned me with it's acid.  I had to defend another, so alas, it died."

In reply to Dungeon Master (msg # 98):

Korkas nodded to Kobort, he walked over to Test, drawing his blades he handed them over to him and then pulled out 3 long darts hidden within the folds of his armour and clothing. With a wink he turns and walks back towards the half-orc.

Re: The Funeral of a Friend....

Korkas starts off with a wild swing which connects, the punch surprises the Half-Orc as he gets whacked across the face, Kobort in turn tries to uppercut the Dwarf, but misses. Kobort obviously was caught off guard from the initial attack from the Dwarf.

Kobort saves the Knockout chance of 1% from the Wild Swing, but takes 3 damage. (1 HP/2 TEMP)

Korkas just barely misses the Half-Orc with the Hook. Kobort tries for the uppercut the second time, and scores a hit. The Half-Orcs fist connects with the Dwarf, knocking him silly.

Rolled 14 to hit vs AC 7, Uppercut, Damage 1 + STR (3) for a total of 4 Damage. (1 HP/3 TEMP) 8% Chance for Knock Out. No Knockout!

Over across the Street with Jaroo

Jaroo looks to Althiöf with a strange facial expression, unsure of what to say, it takes a moment for the information to process in the Druid's head, He seems very scattered, not intoxicated, but definitely inebriated, likely some sort of pipeweed or other herb. Jaroo stands. "Lets head over to my grove, the noise from that fight." he points to the fight across the way. "Is gonna give me headpaigns." he says, and then starts heading away towards a forested area just off the road.

Kobort takes another swing at the Dwarf, all this dancing around was annoying the Half-Orc, he wished he could have just taken his sword and sliced this little runt in half. He connects with a Rabbit punch, pummeling the Dwarf.

Rolled a 20 (Not natural (18) For Rabbit punch, +1 Damage +3 STR for a total of 4. (1 HP/3 TEMP) 3% Chance for Knock Out. No Knockout!

Total Damage so Far: (2 HP/6 TEMP)

Kobort takes the uppercut like a champ, right in the jaw, its another good blow by the Dwarf, but not enough to bring down the Half-Orc.

Kobort saves the Knockout chance of 8% from the Uppercut but takes 4 damage. (1 HP/3 TEMP)

Total Damage so Far: (2 HP/5 TEMP)

Re: The Funeral of a Friend....

Kobort takes a wild swing again at the Dwarf, and woe is the Half-Orc, as he swings the momentum sends him off balance and crashing to the ground, his face hitting the packed dirt hard, knocking the wind out of himself.

Rolled Critical Fumble (1), Looses next turns actions. You can go twice.
