Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Arbiter, in your table of weapons, you have the long range of the shotgun with scatter ammo wrong: it's 8", not 16".

No, I didn't check the whole table. But with all the tinkering on my roster, that one stuck in my head :)

Dandy, your Orgyns are... terrifying. All your attacks at least Strength 6 ? Oh my...

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Like I said the thing with Ogryn is getting them into melee, once they get there I would guess it's pretty much over.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Pin them down under a wall of lead ! Fire and move back ! And if all else fails, an overloaded plasma pistol to the face !

Or, you know, retreat and live to fight someone else, another day.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Pinning can work on most of them save for the leader, who has a cool of 5+, and the lobo that just ignores pinning. Hence why I want to get all my guys walk it off to give them a way to heal as they try and get close. And again it really depends how well they will do if we can or can't use gang tactics cards.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

What is interesting is that in theory they're not even the best at melee. Corpse Grinders are still probably the kings just due to all the support abilities like cult icons or all their juves infiltrate or Slaughterborn. Still Ogryns look like they're going to be a fun nut to krak.

As mentioned the overall goal is going to be 8 gangs and a variety of "lesser powers".

I'm thinking:

Ogryn
Orlock

Crawdor
Van Saar
Escher
Goliath
Enforcer
Something fun: Grinders/Genestealers/Chaos.

These will be gangs you're actually fighting over territory with. Lesser gangs like Scavvies or Ratskins will be involved but won't be part of the meta game.

Thats fine with me, and like I said if at any point you want me to run another/different gang from the Ogryn I have a Delaque gang that could be fun.

That's okay with me, although your definition of fun... is a bit strange.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

You should have enough cred left for another ganger there if you look at your gang rating... but I noticed Yaktribe isn't good with the whole delete this to add that. But you can add the missing cred manually.

Yeah, I am not sure if I am actually at 950 with them or not. I remember making some kind of mistake when doing the creds.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Also I desperately need a primary "gang color" for your group. Preferably something that will be easy to spot on a map so I'd prefer not Black but it would probably be fine if you really want it.

Goetlingun !

And for primary color, a light blue-grey. CDE6FF if whichever software you use lets you input hex values.

I haven't had much luck finding good pictures on the net, but I'll keep looking

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

A map has been posted. You are free to grab any territory that you want but consider that the father it is from the rest of your territory, the more likely you'll start getting suboptimal scenarios (i.e. more likely to be Ambushed, Sabotaged, Looted etc.)

This is not a guarantee, it'll only be like a 1 or 2 bump on the scenario chart.

In addition note the "zones". Green zones are areas that are still heavily patrolled by Enforcers so activity there is more likely to attract their attention. Red Zones are "outside" of civilizations and increase the likelihood of twists like horror beasts or other Badzone events.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

I am fine with Yellow, which ever shade you want. I think it would fit to have the Ogryn base maybe be like the former slave ogryn storage facility as in lore there not so much a gang fighting for territory they are just trying to be left alone. And they would probably start with 19 if I take it they are starting at 8.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Scenarios and enemy gangs are being drawn up. Maps are rdy to go. I will try and post tonight so you can plan deployment. We wont be doing terrain set up instead you will get to pick your deployment zone. I will try to make generally balanced maps but I may also make unbalanced maps to balance unbalanced scenarios.

How do you feel about fog of war? The idea is that I would indicate general map directions of where enemy movement is happening but until you have LOS you dont know what is actually around the corner. Thoughts?

The opening scenarios should be fairly easy for you so now is a good time for experimentation. If you would rather stick closer to the rules that is fine by me.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

I'm fine with you doing all the maps. Frankly, in a play by post format, anything that saves going back and forth is good by me, otherwise we'll spend one week just setting things up.

Fog of war... we can try it, it might be interesting.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Arbiter did it for me, by turning it into a picture, hosting it on imgur, and using the command

<img src="https://i.imgur.com/xH6AKbR.png">

I'm not sure why he/she did it for me. Maybe as a way to take control of the roster for an upcoming battle ? It does look very cool.
