Gotcha. I don't know when edits happened so in the future instead of editing an old post just make a new post so I can see there is something new.

I found a way to better represent statuses. Check it out in the Battle Rule thread.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
I like it, the ducked one made me chuckle. I am finishing up training at my new job and will be getting off earlier then normal so will hopefully get a few rounds in today. Quick question charges can go around corners and other things right?

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Correct,  no LOS is needed, just the movement.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Well I just had an Ogryn turn an Enforcer into a thick paste, did not realize paired doubled your base attacks then gave you the +1 for having two melee weapons when you charged. And the dice loved me, hit with 6 wounded with 5 but did not like the cop.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Whereas my captain, a melee specialist, can't seem to make a hit stick on a hive scum no matter what. Plenty of hits, no wound.

On the plus side, the chaos spawn on the other side seems to have similar performance issues. And I don't know where they bought their grenades, but they really need to find another source :)

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Well your guy is just human, he can't really hold a candle to my S6, S7 on the charge from bull charge because why not, Ogryn with paired augmetic fists.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
I had two cultists with blasting charges. Half his army is all bottled up right next to each other. ANNNNND drop the grenade at my feet and blast myself to smithereens.

/slow clap

Well played, Necromunda. Well played.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Thats why you don't throw grenades, you use grenade launchers.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Also I think Dandy gets the award for "easiest opening scenario." Not his fault but let's just put every single Ogryn in charging distance of every single enforcer while also blocking the enforcer's LOS.

/slow clap.

Oh well, that's the joy of random scenarios.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
And I get a ritual chamber at the end of a long long mine that I can't possible reach before the ritual goes off... well, at least it means I encountered the enemy in small groups.

But hey, I wanted to capture a mine, so that's exactly what I got :)

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
@Grimm: The ritual goes off if I roll double 6's. The Chaos Spawn was always there (in one of the locked tunnels right by the chamber) and was going to be a fun "surprise" when you make your final charge at the chamber.

When you played the hive quake you basically let it out early, which is actually REALLY good for you because it didn't just slam into your entire army at point blank range, you now have time to pepper it at range.

The ritual is still going on which is why you aren't facing the witch or cult leader.

Dandy's mission should have been a lot harder given he was facing a half squad of enforcers but due to narrative reasons they really screwed themselves by rushing forward turn 1 and now trying desperately to fall back. Then again it makes sense in context but yeah, that was a big oversight on my part. All those fancy bolters don't mean shit if they're all 5" away from an angry Ogryn AND there are two corners in the way preventing any sort of LOS in the process.

Upside is, he's having slight problems with the hive scum as well :D They're tougher than they look!

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
I am only having trouble with them when you roll for my guys. Also all my Ogryn have +1 attack from having two melee weapons.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Hive Quake is a fun tactic, I think I'm going to draw it again if I have a chance. Only, this time, I'll double check that all of my people are on safe, solid ground well away from danger :)

Also, ammo checks are a lot more common than I expected. I need to adjust to that.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Well I mean this is how the game started, would be bad if they failed at what is basically character creation. If you think it's going to be a little rough trying to make balanced encounters for a gang with 0 range just let me know I can go to the chaos guys or Delaque.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Nah I'm not worried about that kind of balance. I make no promises that any individual scenario is balanced in the slightest. I will just adjust it so the next scenario is easier or harder.

There is also underdog mechanics in play so if you start getting your teeth kicked in there are additional mechanics like house agents or underdog tactic card picks etc. to help bring things back into balance.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Oh, look, my long distance shooting specialist just sent two hive scums out of action in one round... by punching and kicking them !

I really need to rethink my tactics !

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
Something you should invest in is a Fighting Knife, probably the best melee weapon you can buy ten creds cheaper then a chainsword, I mean sure you lose rending and parry but from experience saving money in the start really helps.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole
I'd also lose the +1 to Hit from the Chainsword, which I like. We'll see what the cred situation is like after the battle, there are so many things to buy. Mesh armor for everyone. A 10th ganger. Heavy weapons. So many things...
