It has a huge community, There's the mobile app which sends notifications when people post, we can pin posts, create channels easily, people can very quickly upload new tokens or character sheets, or maps, and there's the option of even popping in for voice chat if people around and felt like it?

And I'm sure we could find a l5r dice bot on there.

I don't really have a preference for RPoL or Discord (I probably wouldn't use voice though). I only had one experience with rpg on Discord and it crashed and burned in a couple of weeks, but it has some good points. So... Well, up to you I guess.

It is pretty easy to upload stuff on there, and the mobile app is attractive too since you can get an immediate notification whenever somebody posts. That and there is such a huge user base for it.

I administrate several discord servers of my own, so if others weren't experienced with doing so I can easily get one setup and promote the GM to have all the needed permissions

Oh I know Discord, I'm on dozen servers, one I administer myself.

I'd be willing to try to play there, but I'm not really pushing for it either. There are definitely some good points, but also some not so good.

As for notifications, I have an android app that warns me in (pretty much) real time if there are new posts on RPoL, so that's not something I'm missing from Discord ;)

If you're using the desktop application, click on the plus at the bottom left corner, join a server and paste the link.

With a browser, maybe you need to log in on Discord before clicking on the link?

The app is certainly far superior.

OK, doesn't hurt to keep this too, but Discord might be better, want to try that out first and see how we all like it?
