What a lovely spring weather!

Newly arrived in Paris, Armand Lebeau of Provence, was seen at the Pont Au Changes apparently taking a loan from the shylocks. If so the reason might be his later purchase of three cavalry horses at the Northern Horse Market.

Alonso Balmaske joined Scarron's Salon while Armand Lebeau and Bastien Durand joined Scudery's.

Week 1
Alexandre Duclos was seen at the Salle d'Armes practicing his rapier.
Both M. Balmaske and Henri Sampson joined the 4th Languedoc Arquebusiers as Privates. M. Durand joined the Royal Marines as Private.

Week 2
While M. Lebeau was busy arranging to become Major of the 3rd Squadron of the Dragoon Guards, MM. Balmaske, Durand, Duclos, and Sampson were all seen spending time at the Rue Bourdel. Apparently M. Durand and M. Duclos got in a heated argument over provincial matters, M. Durand being from Aquitaine and M. Duclos from Burgundy. ((Cause for duel between Bastien Durand and Alexandre Duclos))

Weeks 3-4
Later in the month MM. Balmaske, Durand, and Sampson returned to their respective barracks for regimental duties. M. Lebeau was seen at the Rue Bordel.

Messieurs Lebeau and Durand were noted for their conspicuous consumption.
