The Story So Far

This thread will be bumped every time new information is added. It will contain all that has been said or done of importance, for the sake of easy reference.

The Search For The Lunar Moth:

The crew of The Excelsior accepted a mission from The Exchange on behalf of The Curunir Exploration Society (CES) to find a ship of theirs: the Lunar Moth. The Lunar Moth was last sighted around the remains of Rhea I (09.07) one month ago while attempting to determine why the planet was destroyed. On discovery of the ship's fate, the crew is to be paid 15,000 credits.

Niely's Freedom:

ASPI piloted the ship to the nearest space station to the remnants of Rhea I: Niely's Freedom. On docking, ASPI informed the crew that refueling and restocking the ship will cost 2,440 credits. Transit within the system is still possible, but leaving the Rhea system will not be possible without refueling.

A customs official directed the crew to Kharkov's Tavern for information about the Lunar Moth.

The bartender at Kharkov's Tavern -- presumably Kharkov himself -- informed the crew in hushed tones that the Lunar Moth and its crew likely ran into pirates amid the ruins of Rhea I.

A strange man and his robot named Engelbart informed the crew that the pirates were part of a group called Arevskyn's Corsairs, based on Vonga IV (07.06). The group operating around the remains of Rhea I are capturing ships to sell for scrap. The man believed that is likely the fate of the Lunar Moth. Before leaving, Englebart and the man provided the crew three frag grenades to 'greet' the pirates with.

Before leaving Niely's Freedom, the crew was confronted by some pirates. In the scuffle, a handful of laws were broken.

Rhea I/Pirate Base:

ASPI piloted the Excelsior into the asteroid field that is Rhea I's remains. A quick scan quickly revealed the location of the pilot base Kharkov and the man mentioned. The Excelsior was piloted into the base without incident, where the Lunar Moth was discovered partially dissembled.

After briefly searching part of the pirate base, the crew fled while being chased by pirates. The Excelsior was able to escape the pirate base before a defense could be mounted by the pirates.

The data from the Lunar Moth was transmit to the Curunir Exploration Society. With the payment in hand, and the various supplies and fines paid off, the crew recorded a profit of 10,010 credits.

The Story So Far

Delivery of Mining Supplies:

The crew of the Excelsior accepted a mission from The Exchange on behalf of A-Cross Mining Inc., to deliver a shipment of mining supplies (weighing 35 Tons) to PCX-934 (05.08) from Curunir (09.08). On delivery, the crew is to be paid 20,000 credits plus the cost of the fuel spent.

Curunir:

On accepting the mission, ASPI piloted the Excelsior to a space station orbiting Curunir to pick up the supplies. ASPI informed the crew that current re-supply costs were 800 credits. Acionna and Raalivoar loaded the cargo onto the Excelsior successfully.

PCX-934:

After Acionna and Raalivoar load the cargo, ASPI flies the Excelsior to PCX-934. The AI docks the ship to the space station operated by A-Cross Mining Inc., the client for the job. ASPI informed the crew that the current re-supply costs were 2,880 credits, and that the ship maintenance was two months overdue.

The cargo is unloaded properly and promptly by Raalivoar, Acionna, and Virginia. After unloading the cargo, Milo and Virginia spot a group of men from the United Miner's Suffrage Movement, a radical union alleged to have ties to the Universal Freedom Faction (UFF) terrorists.

With the cargo unloaded, the foreman pays the promised 20,000 Credits to the crew.

The Story So Far

Nance Linson's Rescue Party:

The crew of The Excelsior accepted a mission from The Exchange on behalf of the explorer Nance Linson. Nance had been exploring the Keat Basin on Nujema (03.07) when his ship, the Pilum, lost its stabilizer. The reward for getting Nance Linson off of Nujema is 45,000 Credits plus the salvage rights to his ship.

Nujema:

OMEGA successfully flew the Excelsior to Nujema to begin the rescue. ASPI informed the crew that current re-fueling and re-supply costs would be 3,000 Credits. Leaving the system is impossible without refueling, though one or two of the larger settlements on Nujema would be able to refuel the ship.

Everyone decided to land at a sizable settlement on Nujema -- Chihal -- to secure transport to the crashed Pilum. The Keat Basin, where the wreck (and likely Nance Linson) is located, is 16km from Chihal.

The Chihal customs officer directed everyone to a nearby mechanic's shop. The mechanic rented two off-road buggies and a plasma cutter to the crew for a combined cost of 70 Credits per day.
