OK, I've been wrestling with the Ally/Dependent aspect of Amelia. In passing, I'm happy to do all the bookkeeping for this. Open book, of couse.  :)

Copy/paste of where we got to:
Increased status (2 to 4) = +10CP Edit: Actually it's: (1 to 4) = +15CP
Increased standard of living = goes from $3k pm (Status 2) to $60k pm (Status 4). Wow. [B265]
Status 4 requires Wealth level Average +4 Fithy Rich (TL4 pay $800x100=$80k pm [B516-7]
So, Wealthy => Filthy Rich = +30CP
Total +35CP 40CP

versus

Duty to the Duke (Quite rarely, but extremely hazardous) (6) [-7CP]
Duty to the Duke (Most of the time, non-hazardous) (15) [-10CP]
Duty to NW Catheran (Brother, vasaal. Fairly often. Hazardous) (9) [-5CP]
Duty to Luscious Meadows (Quite often. 12 or less) [-10CP]
Dependent (Amelia)

So, picking this up again, here are some of my thoughts:
Amelia starts as Ally but would like her to end up as Dependent. At 250CP versus Kenyan's 167CP, RAW she;s not allowed to be a dependent, so "phasing over" would be needed. (More on that later).
Kenyan started off as a wealthy fellow of some importance and only limited ability and limited responsibility.
He's now become immensely wealthy, of great responsibility and still only limited ability. I want to grow his ability.

********  You sure you aren't a guy?  "I married above me, so now I run the place ;-)"  No, She is worth more $$$$ than you and has far more management ability than you do.  No, she is not a combat leader, thus you complement each other. As a pair you are hard to beat,  Individually, each of you has some fairly big weak areas.

Query 1: Is Amelia combat capable? (How skilled?) Or is she a big bundle of socio-econonomic skills?    ******  B for sure.

OK, so Kenyan has just gained a huge amount of wealth.    ****** Kenyan has gained access to a huge amount of wealth.  One of Amelia's dirty little secrets is that she knows where the body is buried, don't be a greedy candidate for a second dirty little secret.

Assuming it's probable that the Baroness getting married to Kenyan won't vastly increase her wealth, ****** not in the short term, but you provide other benefits, and she wasn't in need of money anyway.

then I propose that the pair swop Walth status, with her being somewhat financially dependent on him (long term).   **** No, she won't accept that for sure, and you'll lose a lot of respect.
{In mechanics terms, Amelia was Fithy Rich [50CP] but that has majorly fallen to Kenyan to control (as the new Baron), so Amelia "only" has her personal wealth remaining, although Kenyan doesn't actually stop her doing anything, her Advantage drops to Wealthy [20CP].}

Query 2: Did Amelia start with the Advantage Filthy Rich [50CP]?  ******* I had her at Very Wealthy, 30 CP  20x normal wealth , they did just have a war here.

u>Query 3:</u> Did Amelia start with these Disadvantages? If so, at the same frequencies?   Generally yes, specifically no.  She could not do many of the Very Hazardous things, and would not have been asked to, although she might have been asked to wine, dine etc. some fellow for information and access to his luggage and things.
