Howdy everyone!  I kind of stumbled across this idea; I was looking at the plot summaries of a few of the Adventure Paths that the Glass Cannon Podcast folks have mentioned in passing, and I noticed one of them was listed as 'The first Adventure Path written using Pathfinder rules'.  So I dug a little deeper, and it turns out the first four AP's that Paizo ever published were written using the 3.5 rules under the Open Gaming License.  Once I learned that, I realized I could actually run a game without having to learn an entirely new ruleset, and after thinking about it for a little bit I decided to run with it because a. I love DND and need some of it in my life, and b. I miss getting to game with you folks on a consistent basis.

This is quite a journey we're starting; Adventure Paths are pretty beefy, and fourm-based games slow everything down.  I'm hoping knowing everyone in real life will give us a better shot at actually carving our way through this adventure, and whatever happens I'm looking forward to getting to shoot the shit with everyone about gaming again :)

We are up to 4/6 players added to the game!  I am adding folks with their real names for now, and will setup additional character names once they're ready.

Thanks so much for putting this together, Chris!  I'm truly grateful.  I've had a major itch to play a paper and pencil RPG since you've introduced me to multiple play-podcasts, and this is a great format I never would have thought of.  Looking forward to this very much!

OK, a couple housekeeping items:

• I have added a thread containing answers to all the questions raised on the Google Drive, and I have deleted the Google doc.  If you have other questions, please hit me up here and I will get it added to the list.
• Everyone should have a private thread created so we can discuss anything that comes up that is not relevant to the group at large.  Backstory stuff, mechanics discussions, etc.  Please make use of it :)
• Those of you who have selected character names should now be able to post as your character as well as with your real name.  There's a Name dropdown if you have access to more than one character, so pay attention to who you're posting as :)

If anybody can drop a PDF of the Player’s Handbook, Complete Warrior, and/or Complete Arcane in the shared google drive, it would be appreciated.  We have actually built a pretty complete collection so far, I see no reason to not go for broke :)

Derp, there it is.  The Drive app on the iPhone doesn’t automatically refresh the contents, so I hadn’t realized it was there.

On the map on page 2 of the Runelord's Players Guide, which building is the new cathedral?  Is it the big, 3/4ths of an iron-cross looking building off Church Street next to the 1? (The 1 looks to be some stables or similar, and the 2 seems to be a graveyard?)

Yes, number 1 is the new cathedral.

This poor town isn't going to know what hit them with this group so far.

Eff the Adventure Path, we're just going to have five thousand posts of Sandpoint roleplay.  You can all enjoy such escapades as navigating local bylaws!  Running for office!  Dealing with thrilling issues like zoning ordinances and municipal tax rates!

Many of you will see a "description goes here" posted for your character description.  Please don't feel any rush to fill that in; I did that solely so the hyperlink on your character name would work in the Cast list so I can easily snag your portraits.

Surprise round is done, Round 1 is up.  Reminder that you do not need to post in initiative order.  I will resolve things in that order unless someone wants to shuffle their space in the order (like to wait for a flank, or a buff spell or something), but waiting to post for when it's 'your turn' drags online games to a serious crawl.

Also I am assuming that everyone but Rory did not have any weapons drawn during the ceremony - the perks of a bladed scarf!

I think Jensox had his walking stick (quarterstaff) out, because he almost always does, but if it comes to Jensox using his melee weapon we're in serious trouble.

Fair, I can see walking sticks for Xol, Jensox, and Asur.

Nope, I am handwaving and saying it’s all clear.  Trying to run a huge crowd would just be a giant PITA.
