Darad swings by after collecting his share from the boar hunt.

"Bartender, half a pitcher of your finest please. And what else is happening around here?

"2 silver for your drink and you might want to talk to those men in the corner table," the bartender says.

The table he indicated has three rather battered looking men. One has a bandage on his head and another has a bandage on his arm. The men are solemnly sharing a pitcher of ale.

Darad nods his head and pays for the beer with an extra silver as a tip. Taking the pitcher and a mug he heads toward the men.

"Greetings gentlemen. You look like you may need a few friends. A Steady Hand may  be able to help. Di you mind if I join you and you can tell me what the issue is? First drink is on me."

"The drink is appreciated. We were on the road coming to this town, when a band of goblins attacked our caravan. They stole a lot of our merchandise that we were hoping to sell. We don't have enough left to buy supplies for the return trip."

"Goblins you say? Well that maybe just be right up our alley." Darad pours drinks for the men and for himself

"How many goblins are we talking about, and where did this take place? Where there any 'leader' types with them?"

Entering the tavern and watching Darad move to a stranger's table, Lovisa hesitates a second before moving to the bar and casually waiving down the barman, waiting patiently to be served.

"Wine, please. Irriseni if you have it."

"There were a lot of the little blighters. Maybe a dozen. They was all running around and I didn't think to count them. I can't say if there was any leader. They were all jabbering in their language and I don't speak goblin. They attacked us a couple miles outside of town, just past the farmland."

The bartender goes up to Lovisa and pulls out a bottle of wine.
"I don't have many requests for that, but I do have this." The bottle is a generic ice wine.

"Ok, so what kind of a reward can we expect if we recover your goods?"

Darad takes a sip after asking.

Aurellion entered the inn. Seeing Darad with a group of people, he joined Lovisa at the bar. "That looks like a fine wine there, one for me as well please."

Darad nods his head "We have a deal gentlemen" and raises his cup "I am off to gather my friends and to retrieve your goods. Hopefully we shall see each other here in a day or so."

Unless there is anything else to be said by the men, Darad is off to gather the rest of the Steady Hand and let them know of the mission.

Lovisa trades a couple of silvers for the wine and nods appreciatively to the bartender.

"I admit it is a rare request, but that will be fine, thankyou." she says as she pours herself half a glass and giving Aurellion a bemused smirk as she holds the glass up and examines the liquid in imitation of a connosuer.

"Fine might not be quite correct word, but finding ice wine at all this far south is a rare treat. " She says as she takes a sip and hmms in approval, eyes spying Darad moving towards them.

"Hmm. Perhaps he's found more work."

Krisa bid the others fair travels as she found her way back to Thorntop. But she did not go to the town immediately. She stopped at the Shrine to Erastil outside of the town. There she sat and sang a few songs in Erastil's name.

Hearing word of the goblins, Iridius's eyes lighted up, as if something both anger and crazed awoke in him. “Whatever the job, if it gives me a chance to kill goblins I'm in.”

In reply to Overlord (msg # 30):

"Are you the one that keeps this shrine for Erastil?" Krisa asked as she dismissed the instrument. She stood in front of the half-elf.

"I've received a boon." Krisa smiled. "Thought I'd make a donation. Just wanted to make sure that it would be put to good use." She dropped ten pieces of gold in the half-elf's hand. "I'll be staying at town. Drop by for a drink or send me a note if you need more." She prepared to leave.

Lurdgo hears about a couple potential jobs. A group of merchants lost their merchandise to goblins and some people are complaining about the lack of fish in the river.

Jaxion walks into town and looks around.  He is pretty relaxed and likes the feel of the place.  He thinks it has a lot of possibilities.  Before really talking to anyone (though being polite and responsible if spoke to) he goes and looks around at all the buildings and places to go to determine who or what he might talk to.

Re: Welcome to Thorntop
Overlord:
Thorntop is a small town at the edge of the civilized world with a wooden wall around it. A river runs down from the Worlds End Mountains, past the Black Woods and alongside the town. The town is home to about 250 people.

At the center of the town is the Green, a grassy park where various festivals and ceremonies are held. In front of the park is the Town Hall. On the other side are several shops: a general store, a smithy run by a dwarf, a bakery, and an alchemist shop.

Nearby is the town's only inn, The Broken Wheel. A sign above the door depicts a broken wagon's wheel. It is a three story building. The bottom floor is made of stone and has a large common room that is also the town's tavern. The upper two floors are made of wood and are rooms for rent.

Also adjacent to the Green is a small church to Sarenrae. Father Dumas is the local priest. He is a middle aged man and is served by a pair of young acolytes (local children that are coming of age).

A shrine to Erastil lies outside the town.

Having sorted out with the Dryad somewhere he could stay Bellias headed towards the shrine of Erastil, upon arrival he offers a prayer to Old Deadeye and then sits in quite contemplation of the days events for a moment.  Upon seeing Krisa preparing to leave he gives her a smile and a wave.

The shrine is quiet. The druid lets you pray and meditate in peace. Krisa waves back and then leaves the shrine.
