I hope someone has the Mending cantrip, or a way to fix armor.  Or I'm going to have to turn around and go back to town after this encounter to repair my mail. :(

Re: OOC
99% done with my Sheet, I think. (Just some character traits to type in.)

I assume I'm to wait out this combat?

Re: OOC
Just a question: it is useful to take investigation and perception as skills, right?

In reply to Vander Hickenlooper (msg # 106):

In my opinion,

Investigation: Depends on the campaign and your role in it. All things being equal, I feel better if someone in the party has it.

If I play a rogue, I’ve probably got a ok Int; it’s on my list; and people are going to want me to look for traps anyway – seems a good choice.

If I’m a fighter? Nah.

Perception: Everybody all the time. This is what keeps you from getting surprised.

Investigation is not crucial but Perception is at least on this campaign, to avoid being surprised on a combat.

Shinma I am afraid your armor class is now 17 unless you repair or change your armor.

Who is the party face?  I only have an 11 Charisma, might be better for them to start the conversation with the guards.

Re: OOC
Krisa is no more persuasive than some of the rest of the group, +3, but she does have the noble background and the “Position of Privilege” feature.

quote:
Thanks to your noble birth, people are inclined to think the best of you. You are welcome in high society, and people assume you have the right to be wherever you are. The common folk make every effort to accommodate you and avoid your displeasure, and other people of high birth treat you as a member of the same social sphere. You can secure an audience with a local noble if you need to.

And she can read a room well (Wis+Insight).

She could take the lead, hoping her status will lend some weight to our request for entry, and maybe get us a recommendation for lodging and an armorer?

With Shinma adding support, I might gain advantage to any necessary rolls?

In reply to Storyteller (msg # 123):

I don't know if we want one.

I was merely thinking that a certain attitude of, not so much haughty as much as entitled could ease our way past the city watch, that with a name drop and a signet ring along with a certain poise and bearing, we could enter the city without any major problems.

But, to the rest of the party:
Do we want to meet with the Duke? Can that help us?

Re: OOC
This is Patricus, the new DM's character, I took advantage of the new era this game is experiencing with new additions to the ranks and considering only a couple of the original players still remain, I want to play a class I really like: wizard. I tried the cleric but just never could catch on me.

I still will be the link to the temple but only as a friend of the head cleric and allied to Hollend.

Re: OOC
I have been struggling these days to keep all my games updated, I am entering in a lot of combats in my other games and since I try to keep combats painstakingly interesting and meaningful in a PBP medium that is a very tough task.

I am folding my two lesser developed games and this is one of them, I think I owe you at least the fact you applied and played all this time so if you are really interested in accompany me in other games I could open slots to make you join in my other older games.

If interested send me a rMail and we will discuss all the options for you to choose, if not interested then I extend my apologies and my gratitude for being here to the end.
