If you go into the dice roller and type out something like this: 2a2d then it will always spit out "no successes" and if you have the "record each die" option checked it won't show any dice results.

The dice roller doesn't parse the dice in a smart way so if you don't have the spaces it thinks you're asking it to roll 2 "a2d" dice which don't exist so it will always <null> out the results which it interprets as no successes. I'm putting in a request for an error handler so it will instead error out instead of saying "no successes".
