New VERANO
As one of many cities in Ancilia, Verano is a decimated shell of what it once was.   A struggling community of survivors has fortified a small part of the city, but lives constantly at odds with the world around it.
- Power: 1 ... Action Die: 1d6     but will likely grow in power soon thanks to Chandriss' improvements.
- Cohesion: 2
- Trouble: 3

Features:
- The people of Verano may not like each other, but they are a tough and tight-knit community of survivors and fighters.  {increased Cohesion}
- New Verano's walls are strong, its people are safe: thanks to Chandriss.
- The People of New Verano are gifted with magic, with an improbable number of them demonstrating talent for it: thanks to Chandriss.
- The Loremasters of New Verano are excellent teachers, quickly conveying complex magical concepts to their apprentices: thanks to Chandriss

Problems:
- Many threats emanate from nearby Nightgates.  {1 point}
- Farming/Hunting is difficult with so few. and when so much time must be devoted to defence. {1 point)
- GM secret, for now: thanks to Chandriss.  {1 point}

Power Structure: Autocratic: One person has largely unchallenged control over the court.
Actors:

NEKOIK
As one of many cities in Ancilia, NEKOIK is a decimated shell of what it once was.   A struggling community of survivors has fortified a small part of the city, but lives constantly at odds with the world around it.
- Power: 2 ... Action Die: 1d8
- Cohesion: 2
- Trouble: 3

Features:
- As a fortified port city, Nekoik is a strategic and well-supported stronghold of the Surcessant Order.

Problems:
- The nearby Night Road seeks to destroy Nekoik  {2 point}
-   ... still to be discovered  {1 point)

Power Structure:
Actors:
- Sir Jerrim Minbane

Faction Goal: Survive, and fight the Night Roads.
Court Mood: Struggling, and martial, expecting trouble from the world.
Consequences of its Destruction:  this Night Road goes unchecked ... and the local people would be without defense.
