I'm technically not "new" here but seeing as I never actually posted with my previous character I hardly think that counts.

Who were you before?

Zuana Volpe. I posted once in this thread right at the start of the game and then never again. I had a lot of behind the scenes trouble with that character and it translated into nothing getting posted.

I found my way back here completely by accident, dropped the GM a line to apologise for before and ultimately ended up making a new character who I'm a lot happier with.

Oh man, Deception/Knowledge/Night is not easy.

Glad you found something that clicks.  I always have a billion and a half character ideas, but actually making one work is a totally different ballgame.

Mhm. I made the classic mistake of coming up with an interesting concept and making a character around it only to find that I had absolutely no idea how to properly realise them once it came down to actually producing something in-character. Really I think I was trying to be a bit too clever and succeeded only in making myself look stupid for my efforts.

Katusha is a little weird but nice and straightforward. I've also done some thinking with the GM to set up some precautions so it's easier to get me out of a hole if I have trouble again.

I dig weird, Chandriss is probably the most straightforward character I've ever made for this system. I just really, really, really wanted to have fun around Builder of the Mountain Peaks and the Earth Word.  So, Chandriss.

@Katusha Yeah I've walked into that trap before. Aleni is definitely a tamer concept but I am liking him quite a bit. I hope you have a similar experience.

I suspect the holiday season is slowing things down. Pretty much every game I'm in is like that right now. No cause for alarm I don't think

Our DM works 12 hour back to back shifts, sometimes for up to a week, and then usually posts when they are on an extended weekend.

Add holidays to the extended weekend, and you get this.

No worries though.  It's rare for Godbound GMs to make it through the first scene, let alone the first chapter.  We are so far past that.  I have nothing but confidence in this game's continued health.
