Apotheosis - Character Creation

You will play a God, one of the Awoken Divine in a Creation that has undergone Ragnarok. Each Divine is not omni-everything, but potent nonetheless

You will begin your journey having awoken alongside your people, your Chosen. Your Realm is fresh and new, as yet untainted and untrammelled. Your people, bold and ready to take on their new home, will look to you for guidance. If not for the Monsters it would be an idyllic beginning. Instead, you are faced with opposition, Monsters born of stolen power and Chaos seek to unmake your newly birthed world.

Creating a character in Theogenesis is a simple four-step process:
  1. Submitting a Request To Join with Your Domains, Realm and Chosen
  2. Determine Powers, Traits and Magic
  3. Determine Attributes, Skills and Feats
  4. Record Derived Characteristics
Once complete, preprare to solidify your claim to the Realm, push back the encroaching influence of your enemy and take your Chosen to whatever fate you choose for them.

This conflict will be different for each Divine

Player Slots:
  • Nenak, God of Forge and Runes
  • Myrddin, God of Magic and Creation
  • Anastaria, Goddess of Light and Restoration
  • Ambriel, Goddess of Invention and Travellers

No open slots presently, but happy to receive expressions of interest

Submitting an RTJ with Your Domains, Realm and Chosen

You will need to include the following information when you Request Access and submit an RTJ:
  1. Divine:
    • Name - Perhaps the most fundamental facet of your existence. Upon your Awakening, it will hold no special significance - but it will be what your people and those you will encounter will know you by. Legends will be made and songs sung to exalt your name; choose wisely.
    • Description - Your appearance in the mortal Realms, where your Divine trueform cannot be sustained. It often resembles a peak version of your Chosen species albeit still obviously Divine in some way (unnatural colour or markings, glowing feature). It should match, broadly, your character's icon

  2. Domains:
    • Primary - Each of the Divine holds claim to a singular Domain, their control unchallenged. Often these are broad and thematic, such as Life or Fire or Harmony. No two Divines may choose the same Primary Domain
    • Minor - Representative of the Divine's passions or nuissances, this is typically a related Domain or sub-speciality of their Primary Domain

  3. Realm:
    • Name - Divines and their Realms are bound together, their fate intertwined. When the Realm thrives, so to does the Divine's power grow and vice versa. If the Realm were to fall then the Divine would fall with it. As such Realm Names should be treated with the same care as the Divine's own name because in many ways it is.
    • Description - Realms are often places of wild and exotic nature whose geography, climate, and even fundamental laws are set by the Divine who presides of it. Some are mundane and others are overtly magical. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding the Realm it begins wild and untamed, the first population of mortal beings having only recently taken their place among its lands.

  4. Chosen:
    • Species - Akin to their children, each Divine's Chosen are often crafted in their own image and exemplify the values and qualities that the Divine most admires or aspires to uphold. Much of their society, good and bad, will be dictated or influenced by the actions and inactions of their divine patron. As such it is only natural that the Divine also be the one to name them.
    • Description - Species have all different forms and sizes, largely shaped by the circumstances that they will be faced with on their new world and the desires of their Divine. A species description could have them be easily recognizable beings or so eldritch that they are only discernible by the initiated few. Regardless the fact that they are mortals is uniform. They are born, in some fashion, grow old, and ultimately pass from this world. Such is the way of the world. Such is the way of all worlds
