So what sort of story will you be playing, Tyler?

Young teen (13-year-old) superhero origin story with some slice-of-life. :-) It should be fun, I've never tried something like this before. This kind of stuff has always been the character's background before, in my previous superhero characters.

For his powers, I chose a general power set, but how he gets them, the specific powers that manifest, and how he can learn to control them will all be a surprise.

Ah, the age and style of story are similar to Jack just a few years younger! Awesome. Chief is great, he has a real knack for the genre and has been doing an amazing job living up to my hopes for the character and the sorts of obstacles he'd have to deal with.

To All My Games:

We are entering holiday season.

This year, I will be taking time off in November.  From this coming Friday Nov 20 until the following Friday Nov 27 I will be offline.  It's my Five Oh birthday and I have been told we are doing something big for it.

I plan on being online all through December.

This time of year is always catch-as-catch-can on RPoL.  Once I return from vacay, I will try to check the boards at my usual rate and keep games moving along.  However I will be understanding about lags in posting times.  Everything usually returns to normal come January 2nd.

Please let me know if there are any questions or concerns.  If I don't say it before the end of the year:  thanks for gaming with me in 2020.  Hope we get to continue in 2021.

I got a large project dumped on me for work.  Since I am flying out on Wednesday, I need to focus on it for the next couple of days.  So I will be pausing all my games for this week.

Damn, I got my third dose of the vaccine on Monday, a Moderna this time and let me tell you... It hits hard...

I'm not getting much of anything regarding Ailith going to orbit at this time (at least, nothing particularly interesting), so if you want you can go ahead, and I'll react to both posts at once tomorrow.

I got a buzz off the second Moderna dose.  Booster was the easiest one for me.  Weird no one has the same reaction to it.

My first and second doses were Pfizer's, and I already felt the second. Nothing too bad, headaches and feeling 'meh' for a couple of days.

But for the third dose I had a Moderna and it was… Well, temperature, headache, aching muscles, and boy was I feeling like crap…
I'm never sick but that's definitely one instance where for once I'd have loved for my immune system to be a bit less aggressive :o

All three just made me tired for a day, and then I was fine.

I have been utterly swamped by work, mostly of the "my family can't plan for the future ever, so now I have to clean up their mistakes for multiple days without sleep." I'll be back to posting by Tuesday. Sorry.

Sorry for the delays.  Flight got back in later than I thought.

Need to make an announcement to all my games:  There will be a (hopefully) temporary to my posting schedule.  For at least the next month, I will answer game boards Wednesdays through Saturdays.  Will also try to post on Sundays as possible.  I will be offline Mondays and Tuesdays.

Hoping that this will sort itself out before the end of June.  Will let everyone know.

Hello All.  I'm back.  Sorry for disappearing Saturday.  There were unexpected doings.

As an update to my schedule:  it looks like me being off Mondays and Tuesdays will last at least until the end of the summer.  My apologies for that.  It kind of came out of the blue.  I will try to post as often as possible Wednesdays through Saturdays, with Sundays just depending on whether I have to fly out Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.

I can say this is not a permanent situation.  So I do appreciate your patience and understanding.

Please let me know if there are any concerns.  Thank You.

As an aside, I will be home this coming Monday and Tuesday.  I do plan on trying to post at least one of those days.  Hopefully both.

That said: My air conditioner/heater central unit died completely early Sunday morning. During the hottest, most humid week on record. It's not going to be under 90F at any point during the week, even at midnight. I was sweating making a ham sandwich Monday morning. It will cost $11,500 to fix and won't be installed until next Monday.

I am crashing at different friends' houses in the meantime and trying not to be incredibly depressed.

I will post as soon as I can.

As we come into the Holiday season, wanted to say my usual.

First, I will be a little catch-as-catch can in the coming week (through 11/6).  Should be able to stick to my usual posting schedule, but will beg your patience if I am off a day or two.

Second, I will be offline the week of 11/19 for Thanksgiving in the USA.  Happy Turkey Day to all who will be turkey-ing.

Third, I should be at home all of December.

I will understand if attendance is down during the next couple of months.  If you can let me know of any vacations/absences ahead of time, that would be much appreciated.  But I do understand how it goes.
