Rules and RTJ (Read this First)
The World of Styre is a D&D 5e Sword and Sorcery game, inspired by material like Conan the Barbarian, Red Sonja, Beastmaster, and Dark Sun. This game is for you if you are interested in...
  • Playing good-hearted heroes facing down the odds of a harsh and unforgiving world
  • Exploring a world with buried secrets and new things to be discovered
  • Working together as a team

Like the pitch, this game is an expedition into the unknown with strangers. I've been in games that have crashed and burned because people would not cooperate, and I'm hoping to avoid that fate with this one. Here are some simple rules for our group that will hopefully keep this game alive and help us all have a good time! ^_^

  • 1) Be a team player:  Being a team player means having fun by getting along with your fellow players, and keeping things in perspective. One of the reasons this game has the mature tag is because I'm looking for mature players. Keep in-character conflict in-game. Out-of-character fighting will not be tolerated.

  • 2) I make the final call: In the event of vague rules or conflicts of any type, my decision is final. I will try my best to keep an open mind, but judgment calls are mine to make.

  • 3) Posting Rate: In my experience, pbp games are more successful if you treat them like marathon rather than a sprint. I'm looking for a minimum posting rate of three times a week. More is better (like once or twice a day, and especially in combat), but not necessary. RL happens to all of us, and I'll give you a heads up if it looks like it will slow me down. All I ask is for the same courtesy.

  • 4) Have fun: This is so important I'll say it twice: Have fun! If you are having fun, then I am having fun.

If you are interested in the pitch and agree to the rules, feel free to send an RTJ. Please include the following in your RTJ:

  • 1) Character Name, Class, and Background

  • 2) A short summary of your character that includes personality and personal goals (ex: building a resistance to the Star Children, freeing slaves, hunting for ancient relics, etc.).
