They went somewhat back on that with some of the later introduced materials. Like Sisters of Battle in later updates starting with powered armour or the crimson guard Skitarii lol. I generally agree otherwise it's just in some cases like with a guardsmen they're getting, realistically speaking, their full kit. An Arbite... Mostly gets nothing of whats iconic and associated with their public image lol.

I'm all middling stats but planning on using pistols, would love a Wrath plasma pistol (RT) and some sort of carapace.

I’m rather middling as well and with scores of 28 WS and 26 BS I am not the combat droid you’re looking for.  Hence why I’ll stick to my red-dotted long las with aimed single shots to have any chance to hit anything.

Equipment comes and goes though so I’m sure we’ll get what we need one way or another.

I had to focus on getting a bit of armour on the bones and some longer ranged weapons than a shotgun. So sadly don't have things like red dot sights. :(

I haven't actually spent my credits yet I don't think, I don't even remember if I rolled for it. Since at the time I was going off the idea he was in prison and hence gets whatever he is given, might need to fix that.

Whats the highest rarity level you can get at the start? I assume anything up to average so I can't just get a Mono Axe and 12 manstopper rounds.

You get your Rank 1 Base Thrones which is on page 29 of the core and then one additional month of thrones that is listed on page 124 of the core.  Mind if you didn't have any backgrounds that means you made it to Rank 2 and thus also means you get that bump to your monthly thrones.

Ex. Txaran is Mechanicus and would get 150 thrones a month, if he'd made it to Rank 2 he would have gotten 165 thrones (plus his Base allotment which was 150 thrones + 1d10 more thrones).

As for rarity I think we have far too few thrones available to get anything too rare to start.  Most other games that give you a lot of coin at start cap it around Rare or Very Rare.

Yeah, there seems to be no official rule as to what is beyond your reach so long as the thrones are at hand. At least from going over the equipment chapter anyway.

I actually sold most all of my starting equipment to afford the long-las with a red-dot so I could have a chance at hitting something as well as a better quality blade for that WS bonus so I might be able to parry a single attack.

I sold my lasgun, and shotgun, and bought a scalptaker, some rounds, microbead and filtration plugs.

I would guess since he is the groups medic he would get this kind of information, was mostly just going to say it has whats in everyones character profiles but if everyone is ok with that idea and would like to add to it maybe you can PM me with some other information. I'd like it to stay purely in the medical realm, so nothing to deep into a backstory, just whatever information you want to add that a doctor might know. If no one is up for it thats fine just popped into my head.

I get a couple RTJs every few weeks and like every second person wants to be a Sister of Battle. Don't understand why is this.

Wouldn't be able to say, the only thing that makes them more attractive than just playing a guardswoman is their access to power armour and bolters which has already been house ruled out if I recall correctly lol. Past that the only other thing that comes to mind is the perk of being associated with an Order but that doesn't mean much of anything at rank 1.

I personally don't know but would love to get to a point in this game, or play in a high lvl DH game as I think it's a little crazier. Played in one IRL once and I was a storm trooper that just head shot everything to death, including a bloodthirster was hilarious.

Was in one briefly as a tech priestess who was also a secutor assassin lol. Many accidents, many many accidents felled the enemies of the Omnissiah.

What was funny is I rolled really low for my fellowship so decided to see how low I could get it in that game as a little joke. When it came to ascending was going to go with Vindcare Assassin but it would of raised my fellowship so went with stormtrooper.
