Character Creation

Character class overview

We will not be using the traditional Pathfinder character classes. As the game begins, characters will not have a character class and will use a very generic baseline set of abilities.

Within your character concept, you can define what sort of character you are playing, including if you want to character to have access to magic. We will be creating classes on-the-fly based on your character concepts. Non-magical characters may very well end up with something very similar to the fighter or rogue classes. Magic using classes will be either mid-level or low level casting classes. Mid-level casters will have d6 as their base hit dice, and use the slow Base Attack Bonus progression. Low-level casters will have d8 as their hit dice medium BAB progression.

Non-casting characters will have a d10 hit dice and the fast base attack bonus progression. This will apply either to players who are more front-line combat types or more stealth-based types. Without the formal training involved in the traditional rogue class stealth-based characters will not get sneak attack as quickly as a rogue does so the additional hit points and BAB should help make up for this.
