I posted a character sheet that has worked for me and is pretty easy to use. I'm fine if you have your own that you like to use. Yes, pre skill stats would be helpful. Thank you.

Re: OOC chat
First, If you haven't already in your RTJ, please PM me that you are an adult in the country in which you reside. Thank you.

Second, please introduce your characters to each other. There are a few players that may have or need a reason to know one another, or may be locally known by the general population.

Third, I wanted to have all the characters have some general reason to know of each other. This reason should also be welcoming to new players later on. Usually, I like to have the players be part of the same organization like a pirate ship or circus. However, for this game I'm considering having all the characters live in the same building, Mega Block, or at least neighborhood. I was thinking that a large part of the game may revolve around protecting their little part of the world... or at least keep it quiet so the nightlords don't get to nosy around everyone's homes.

Since I'm basing the immediate location off of a larger populated Century Station, I was wondering if anyone had an idea of where they might like to be based out of. I was thinking somewhere in Brisby Flats might be a good spot.

Re: OOC chat
Well, Lena definitely can't live in an official Block. They don't let mutie scum in there...On the other hand, a Block given over to sprawl (perhaps in Iron Beach?) might be the sort of place she tried to reclaim as her territory and get the lights back on in.

I was planning for Lena to be a Warlord, originally from Konigsberg Station up on the Baltic1, and exiled because her powers erupted openly during a "mutant attack." She's kind of an accidental warlord - she went ronin after being kicked out, and then settled down wherever we are, and now she's a "respected community leader" among the poor locals because she's charismatic and can kick ass. Ideally, she'd like to strike a serious blow against the MGR leadership in the future and actually make some change for mutantkind, but first things first...

1. In our history it was renamed Kaliningrad, but not in a world where Germany was triumphant.

Re: OOC chat
I think that, if we are going to be basing the game out of the Flats, many blocks in there are lawless so nobody will be checking closely. Also the population there has a lot of mutants so it will be more accepted by the locals.

Does Lena have any visually obvious mutation?

Re: OOC chat
So it looks like we have a pretty varied group and some have links, or just belong to, several factions. I'd like to keep the character group mainly together, or at least some reason to interact and not kill each other, so I'm going to create a Maguffin or "Magnetic Plot Device".

I'll take Lena's suggestion of the group being organized around Iron Beach, an industrial area. Inside this area is a something that all the factions are interested in that is hidden within the walls of one of the industrial complexes. This complex is located nearby the Ley Line Nexus for the city. More importantly, there is a young Millenium tree that provides some amount of mystical camouflage to the building and those within from the Nightlords. Additionally, some of the factions may have another reason for having a presence in the building. All the factions have a tenuous agreement for this building to be neutral territory.

However, while the tree can provide some cover from the nightlords it is unable to stop other problems from occurring. This could be other supernatural beings wandering in or poping out of a rift. This could also be another warlord gang from trying to take over. Or even keeping the building from being rezoned and demolished to make room for housing.

This is where the PCs come in. Everyone should have some in character reason for being assigned or living here. Sound good?

Re: OOC chat
A Millennium Tree? That could work.

As Lena mentioned, her interest in the Block is that the locals essentially made her Warlord after Bloody Monday.

Speaking of which, the ever-noble Lena is protecting and taxing a city-block's worth of illegal business. Any of our PCs with a more mercenary motivation will be welcome to join up for a share of the loot from utility piracy (and protecting the Block from retaliation) and a black market in stolen food, medicine and technical goodies from Uptown.

Hey folks, I'm gonna be joining you as Lucas Engel. He's effectively a pro-bono paramedic working off of whatever people can afford to give him (often food). There aren't many first responders operating down in the Overlook, so for a lot of people (especially mutants) Lucas is their best option for medical help.

Re: OOC chat
Everyone that has applied to the game has a character account, so I don't expect anyone else immediately. Here is who we have at the moment.

Aurora - Guardian
Hans Von Bruun - Spook Squadie urbermench looking fella
Jasmine St. John - Nightbane
Johan Danzig - Local homless looking person (I think, correct me if I'm wrong)
Lena Mazur - Your local friendly Warlord incharge of the protection racket.
Lucas Engel - Underground Railroad Nightbane medic.
Strix - Spook squadie
Tanis - Secret!

I have some homework for everyone, except Tanis, whom I have plans for. This is so that we don't have a convoluted way of having a bunch of strangers trusting each other with their lives.

1)I'd like everyone's character description to include a physical description and also a description of what the general local population knows about you. What would your local bartender say if asked about you?
2) Please chose 2 other characters and describe what they know about you on a more known basis. Probably those of you in the same faction know the other person in your faction.

Re: OOC chat
Johan is more of a street musician.  He lives in the building.....
Johan Danzig is a rather handsome fellow, exceptionally so, with dark hair and intense, smoldering dark eyes, well-built, and dressed in jeans and cotton tees, and sneakers or boots, often with a hoodie or a jacket if the weather is cold or wet.  He is also incredibly likeable.  Which makes it seem strange that he is just a street musician.  Now.
Johan used to be the frontman of an incredibly popular up and coming group called Rost Und Tetanus (Rust and Tetanus), known for playing classical rock with a harder edge.  They were gaining in popularity with the biggest music act at the time, the boy-band called Hasselhoff.  Then, about five years ago, while performing in a Battle-of-the-Bands at a small, but popular, stadium venue, a gang war broke out.  Many people were killed, including the other four members of Rost and Tetanus, and all but one of their roadies.
Now mute, some say from grief, Johan plies his trade on the streets for donations, sometimes filling in for bands who are missing a musician, though never able to sing back-up.

Agreed, I think being in the character description area is a good place for this information.

As far as the other two characters that know more about yours, the idea of this is to make it easier for the group to interact in a fairly secretive world. So having a solid pre-existing relationship and history with a couple people you trust will go a long way toward this.

There are a few more people that need to finish up. Lets shoot for a Wednesday official start.

Please make sure to
1. Have a character sheet that is at level 3, unless otherwise discussed.
2. Have in your Character Details; a physical description, summary of what the neighborhood knows about you, and 2 connections to other players.

Let me know if you have any questions or need help with your characters.

I have a starting event planned. I'll start a thread so we can post what our characters are up to in the Overlook. Go ahead and post a typical 'day in the life' of your character and I'll bring them together shortly!

There are always a few drops after character creation for some reason, it's no big deal (or at least, it's something to expect). The important thing is to not let it slow down the game to a crawl, because it's then that things go sideways.

I'm going to come down in the "probably not" camp - a duplicate account seems unlikely to be an honest mistake. Especially when the transitioning the game to an Adult rating. My suspicion is that the GM was trying to get around an age and rating hassle. I could be wrong, but it's a long shot.
