Re: OOC Conversation

Sorry about that. My brain decided that since I'd been productive for a while, I was due for a period of non-functionality. A longer one than usual, at that. >.<;

I'm still depleted, to be honest, but I think I can manage posts that will unblock people, although they won't be very good. In theory, especially with vaccines starting to roll out, it won't be much longer until the public transit around here will actually get my gimp ass to my clinic, so I'll be able to get my medicine again. I dunno if I mentioned it, but the last time I said that they were turning the trains back on, but they managed to break their power grid in less than 36 hours from doing so and they've been shut down since.

Aeternitas:
I kinda figured that Kenzie would have posted but she's saying that she's having issues in another game, so I figure it's time to move this thread along.

Oh, sorry! I was actually waiting on Jason :P

Re: OOC Conversation

I went back and looked, and I don't see why... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh well. We're moving on now, anywho. If Jason and Pandora don't want to make IC comments about the schedules, please let me know OOC so I can advance the scene to the classroom.

Looks like I'm also going to have to message Eliza and see if she's alive. >.<;

In reply to Aeternitas (msg # 684):

Just sticking to turn order is all, in case Jason wanted to interject with something. I'm probably more of a stickler for it than I need to be, I've had some bad experiences. I once played in a (really stupid) magic school game where I was with a group of two other students and the GM announced we heard a cry for help out on the grounds. In the time it took me to get online, the other two went out, tracked down the source, got in a fight with a faculty member about it, got in trouble, and came back, with me having zero input on the plotline :P

Re: OOC Conversation

Ah, yeah, I can understand that.

I once played in a game where I had my character commanding her troops to surround a group that had attacked us first, while another PC made a post about moving into the right position for a specific kind of attack, which was outlined in the post. Then the GM and another PC decided to play out a complete peace negotiation, even including the release of a prisoner that my character and her forces were in charge of, without either of us being consulted further on the matter.

I was livid lemme tell you. >^.^<

Re: OOC Conversation

Oh, it gets better. The GMs excuse for this behaviour was that he was bored with the whole scene since he knew that the remaining enemies weren't strong enough to fight us. To which I suggested that you know, he's the GM, if he wants to make the fight more interesting (for all of us, really) then he can simply change the enemy's stats. Turned out he was using pre-made stats he got from somebody else and had decided for some reason that he couldn't change them, or that it would be too much effort to change them for not enough gain, or some BS like that - he wasn't making a whole lot of sense in his blubbering attempt at self-defence by that point. The game immediately died, of course.

Re: OOC Conversation

He's not GMing anything right now that I know of, but I still talk to him all the time. I did tell him point-blank since I had been in many of his games, that I think he's way more into the idea of running a game than the actual running of the game, and that seems to have struck a chord. He's not a bad guy or anything, not really, but he's ridiculously stubborn about the stupidest shit and is prone to depressive episodes, which I figure is what at least some of what that rambling non-defence was rooted in.

Re: OOC Conversation

Gotcha Aeternitas, thanks for the info! I was thinking I'd said that before but maybe my post got eaten or I just imagined it... Also, hi again Jason :)

Quick question about the current scene, when you say
quote:
Additionally, Jill and one other military kid of Jason's choosing will be present

Do you mean present on the schedule, or present like... right there in person? I imagine that could affect how much Kenzie would be willing to talk about them to Jason :)

I should have been more clear. I meant that they would be in the class with y'all. I don't think Jason would ask that in front of them. ^.^

Re: OOC Conversation

Morning all, Just to let you all know It's going to be difficult for me to post for the next two weeks. I'm going to be in a place where internet connectivity is rather limited. I'll be coming back and I'll try to post in the interim but if I can't and I go dark just be aware I'm not ghosting.

Re: OOC Conversation

We are! I'm just a bit depressed by the apparent loss of Eliza and a bit distracted by some drama elsewhere. I'm also a little perplexed that Pandora, of all people, has signed in but not posted a response to a question aimed directly at her.

In any case, I'm gonna make an attempt at updates sometime today or tomorrow, and I think it's time to move forward to the next scene in each school.

This is like, I dunno, the fifth or sixth times now that I've opened the post screen and everything, then several hours later I have an empty prompt still. Thought I should at least say that much so people know that I'm alive and all. ^.^;
