When the shockwave finished spinning the ship around, sensors quickly located the source of the shockwave even if not the actual cause. It was a rift in space, perhaps even in time as well, as your chronometers have stopped working.

Sensors also picked up the other ships, and the transponders readily identified them to each other.

200-ton EMPRESS MARAVA-CLASS Independent FAR-TRADER (TL 15) Empress Katerina.

200-ton SIGURD-CLASS Independent FAR-TRADER (TL 15) Stardancer.

400-ton DARRIAN ENDEAVOR-CLASS Independent FAR-TRADER Frumious Bandersnatch.

All three ships appear to be caught in the rift, and it's uncertain if they can reverse course and get out.

EMPRESS KATARINA...


No one was more surprised than he was at how much weight he'd lost. While the others could help a little bit, he quickly discovered that he was the only one that could disassemble the ASP (Advanced Sensor Package; better than Advanced Sensor Suite, don't you think?) and redistribute it throughout the ship.

He was lazy, didn't like physical activity... at least that had been his perception of himself--one of those self-fulfilling prophecy type scenarios.

With the others' encouragement, having to get the job done, and the ghosts of the base, he'd persevered... and lost weight in the process.

He dove into the sensor system now to find out what had happened. He was mildly surprised and smugly satisfied that the ASP seemed to be working just fine. It had its own diagnostics and schematics, and he'd spent the first three days studying those before redisributing the various components around the ship. Some functions were already covered by the ship's sensors, and he'd toyed between making those units redundant or keeping the duplicates as spares... opting for the latter.

"Harley Snikies!" he said out loud when he saw the sensor results.

Bill grabbed hold of a bulkhead bracing herself as the buffeted Stardancer shook. Checking her on-screen systems for any adverse registers. What the bubblegum just happened? she asked over the com's.

"Sorry Cap, no idea what that was but it definitely wasn't me..." Tanja's hands briefly left the console in a quick display of innocence - not that her gesture actually proved or disproved anything.


She returned her attention to the display, soaking up the different numbers revealing the shops condition and situation.

After a extremely busy day, transferring as much tech as she could from the alien base to the Bandersnatch, Adriannah headed to her cabin where she quickly fell to sleep.

"Hailing the Stardancer and the Empress Katerina," Misty got on the ship's communication system. "I'm detecting your two ships here in what appears to be a rift in space. Not sure how we got here, but I'm not sure we can just casually get out."

"I didn't want to make that effort until I was sure neither of your two ships wouldn't get stranded."
