Character sheets open

Nobody is doing the straight random character? It even has the connection roll. (Which I would do straight down the line.)

My sheet is not open yet GM

I believe you have to click on the 'make sheet user editable' option in order for us to be able to paste our sheets there.

In reply to Player 4 (msg # 8):

Well, since my druid would be an awareness druid, I think what the natural draw for her would be was either because she's had some kind of sweat-lodge style vision that showed your goblins either needing to be stopped... or needing to be helped.

For extra points, maybe one goblin is one that's supposed to cause destruction, while another is supposed to do something great - and she doesn't know which is which. ;)

Of course, it might be just that she wants to help guide people on a better path, haha!

So thus far we have a Goblin Hunter, a Goblin Rider, and a Half-Elf Druid, am I correct?

Still mulling over my choice of either Orc Hunter or Human Sorcerer. Inclining more towards the latter...

A Human Sorcerer would be good

I also notice we don't have a fighter of any sort I take it the druid wouldn't be a hand to hand fighter and neither would be a Sorcerer.
The hunter would probably be good with a bow and my character is leaning that way to but to fill the fighter gab I can re allocate some points and make him good at close combat on and off his wolf if everyone thinks that would be a good idea for the grouo

You may need to go to the Character Details page (https://r.rpol.net/usermodules/profile.cgi?gi=74184), then select each of us from the select box, click View and then click Create Character Sheet. Rinse, repeat

I'm mostly done with my character, I think - just the relationships left. :)

Ambiguous visions might work for goblins, but not so sure about a sorcerer!

To give you a kind of idea of what my character is, I'll try to sum her up in a short blurb - hopefully it should let you consider what kind of relationship you'd like to have with her:

Silver Moonbeam is a peaceful, kind-hearted druid who dwells in deep woods and wild places - often wandering and talking to the sky, the water, the earth and trees, as if they were people. She keeps away from cities and any places with more 'civilized' society, as she seems intimidated by it - but is always happy to help a traveler or any wayfairer who seems to be having a difficult time of passing through the land.

She knows much about herbs and the woods, and healing too, and freely uses it on most things - especially animals, which she is very fond of. She does have a few quirks, however, such as believing that elves come from the moon, that plants are alive, or pursuing communion with the spirits of the world through strange, mind-bending rituals.

Those who are kind to the woods will find her helpful and benevolent, those who are not will hear her curse them and yell at them - or, if they are truly despicable, even ask some woodland creatures to get on their tail until they leave her woods be, though such action is extremely rare.

So any ETA as to when we will be starting?

Regarding relationships, well do we start out knowing each other or do we meet IG (say even the first post)? If its the latter we can develop the relationships as we play and interact with each other.

By the way the Legends booklet has some nice tips and suggestions for how the group of adventurers meets up with each other and/or starts out together. Here is a bunch of them:

quote:
CAUGHT IN A STORM. One dark night, you sought shelter from a terrible storm. In the sheltering crevice you found a few other adventurers warming themselves by a fire. You endured the storm together, and during the long night, told each other legends of ancient heroes and monsters. You have been friends since.

quote:
PLUNDERED THE SAME DUNGEON. You searched long and hard for the treasure, braved the dangers of the dungeon, and finally found it – only to realize that you weren’t alone. Other adventurers had followed the same map, looking for the same treasure. A delicate dilemma, but somehow you became friends despite it all.

quote:
HIRED GUARDS. You and the other adventurers were hired to guard someone. Maybe it was a trade caravan, maybe the traveling child of a lord. During the mission, you overcame dangers and realized that you worked well together.

quote:
SAVED BY ADVENTURERS. You were in trouble, maybe you had been captured by the Iron Guard, maybe you had been caught by slave traders. But fate had other plans, and you were dramatically saved by some other adventurers at the last moment

quote:
CAPTURED BY ANOTHER ADVENTURER. At one time you were enemies. You were outwitted and captured by some other adventurers. But during your captivity, your animosity turned to friendship, you realized that you had even more dangerous enemies in common and joined forces

quote:
FOUGHT A BLOODY BATTLE. You fought in a battle where many lives were lost. It was a difficult fight, maybe you came close to dying yourself, but in the end, you found brothers and sisters in arms in the form of some other adventurers. Together, you made it through the bloody day with your lives intact. But the scars remain.

quote:
HUNTED BY RUST BROTHERS. Something you did was perceived as an insult against Rust or Heme. The Rust Brothers didn’t take your action kindly, and sent the Iron Guard to capture you. In your flight, you found a group of other adventurer in the same plight. Together you outsmarted your pursuers. Maybe they’ll catch your scent again?

Started the first thread. Let me know who might have been captured and who may not have been. Let's not make everyone on one side. I am cool with you adding minor details to set the scene.

Any questions, let me know.

I would guess that Silver is probably captured - she is not exceptionally strong or fast and would be most likely to be unable to resist. :)

Toliek is going to get himself captured so he can help get the others that are captured free and leave a trail for his wolf to follow

I assumed Arkhos escaped and sort of left it open if the survivors would mount an attack or not, the opening post implies the attack happened a few days ago.

Hey - I just wanted to kind of clarify the scene in my head, storyteller. :)

From my interpretation, we were ambushed by the Rust Brothers and some of us (probably me) were captured and some of us escaped, but without supplies, and now it's on the people who escaped to try and free us and get back their stuff. Would that be a fair summary?

Yes. It is my version of you met in a bar. This can also be where you meet the other party members. One of the captives has an important map.

So...are we going to continue with the game? I would very much hope so, been hankering to play using Forbidden Lands since I got my boxed set!
