Re: OOC - Atlantis Noire

Another question: I'm generally under PL limits. I haven't been able to come up with a believable way to hit them. Is that going to make me too weak?

Re: OOC - Atlantis Noire

I'm actually wondering how combat heavy things will be. I have one idea done that I'm okay with but I have another that would definitely not be combat ready, but could GTFO if necessary.

My other option has some time and dimension related powers. Would people be interested in that?

Typically, in my experience if you are under PL limits it means you're trying to do to much LOL..which we all do.

But you're talking about believable limits... you have a cyber arm and an enchanting voice. We can work somethings out to break the limits lol

Silverback can make you somethings to help? Throw a few devices on to get to caps?

In reply to Silverback (msg # 116):

What Silverback said.

Don't worry too much about being below limits. You're spreading yourself a bit, but you'll be fine as long as you have a good tradeoff. Give me some level examples for your character and I can tell you what reach does it have around the world, @ sbodmann.

@randomkitty, it'll be as combat-heavy as you make it. Part of the game is in measuring how far can you push things - and how far will an NPC push things towards his field of advantage, of course. A great deal of the game rellies on players manipulating circumstances and environments to their favor. So, if you feel that a ten-feet tall woman that twists iron bars and lifts cars for a living will be trouble, talk her out of violence - or talk her into violence towards your enemies. ;)

You guys control the game. I haven't posted much more for a reason. Everything will be built around you.

Re: OOC - Atlantis Noire

There's a ten foot woman who can bend steel? How many arms does.she have and how does she feel about Gorillas?

Silverback may get a date after all?

I love advantages like power attack and accurate attacks as they can swing things so consider those as options too if you feel a little 'light'....that said you're with Silverback so he can literally do the heavy lifting for you lol.

Re: OOC - Atlantis Noire

I have points to spare right now, so I don't think I'm spreading myself too thin. Yet.

My hypotonic voice will be level 12 area affect afflict, so I'm probably ok on offense.

My combat stats are this right now [brackets are extra points I already threw  in without any good explanation]
Melee attack +0
Ranged attack +6
Dodge +8 [5]
Parry +8 [8]
Fortitude +4 [3]
Toughness +4/+6(roll) [3]
Will +8 [3]

In reply to Silverback (msg # 118):

True. Those bonuses are sweet.

She's ten-foot tall, savage-looking and loves English lit. She's into political science - as a women-voters activist, she's been quite ... 'outspoken'... about her position.

I can throw in a good word for you, but a personal approach might leave a better impression. ;)

I saw them their first stop this tour. I liked the opening act.

Was an awesome show. Was Avatar opening for you? I was skeptical when I saw a Swedish death metal band was opening, but they put on a good show. Baby metal blew us away, though.

In reply to sbodmann (msg # 119):

I might suggest at least raising your saves up some.  You'll crumple pretty fast if you get hit with any sort of PL12 save. I think I know what you mean, though, about justifying things. it's weird if your lounge singer is leaping around dodging attacks like a ninja if you don't have a reason for it.

Maybe you have some wired reflexes along with the arm that make you quicker? A sonic force field?

Re: OOC - Atlantis Noire

The world was dark, in a last ditch they hoped that an experiment could travel back and stop the events that led to the end. A terrible MAD moment with a nuclear winter. She was the subject and was supposed to go back. Instead, though, the experiment met the end of the world and the only dimension she cannot go back to is her home dimension. It is destroyed. Completely. Likely gone forever, or distilled into the gem that is the greatest and most horrible piece of technological advancement that her world could create.

Re: OOC - Atlantis Noire

Ok, just to organize our thoughts, we have:

FINISHED/NEARLY FINISHED

AHAB            - Former child's doll turned monster hunter.
Professor Flea  - Ultra-dense miniature private eye.
S.On.N.Y.       - Experiment and favored son.
Dor'aan Miilou  - Psychic half Atlantean/half Argent with access to tech.
Isadora Nguyen  - time manipulating unconventional problem solver.
Stormshadow     - Ex-war pilot turned P.I. with a few electricity powers.
Silverback      - A drummer Gorilla Man Gadgeter (also maybe battle-suit?).
sbodmann        - Lounge singer with a chrome bionic arm and a hypnotic voice.

TO FINISH

N4t3            - Indestructible Cyborg that can summon various weapons.
Silent Wayfarer - Amnesiac shapeshifter.
OakMaster       - ???
Renik           - ???

Re: OOC - Atlantis Noire

I'd say time manipulating unconventional problem solver. No TK. Some teleporting, some rippling of space time to cause damage or make things get old or bring back to a stable state. Very much almost done.

I believe I put the finishing touches.

She is below average physically, the experiments affected her body but stuck her in that moment. Her mind is sharp and she's still quite pretty, but will never be strong or quick or hearty.

Personal recommendation? Meet up in-game. It's easier to get a feel for the characters and allow more space for each to act as we build the group(s) slowly.
