Before You RtJ

Just a few things I want to get out of the way first.

Thanks for taking an interest. I'm excited about the potential here and I hope you are too.

I really, really do not want to deal with ghosting players. If you can't play any more, please let me know. We can still be friends.

This game will begin with Lessons from the Past, the adventure in the Force & Destiny core rule book. Once that is complete, we will be playing Hidden Depths, the adventure module that is part of the Game Masters' kit. Once we have completed these modules, we will be playing Chronicles of the Gatekeeper. If you have played or read these modules, you may still apply. Just don't ruin it for everyone else with spoilers and prescient actions.

How to RtJ

1.)  A statement that you have read the Rules thread and the character creation threads.

2.) Tell me what character, if any, you want to emulate in Star Wars. It's okay if you only want to emulate part of one, such as being a backcountry farm boy who's a crack pilot but has no special powers, or a rough-and-tumble outlaw who isn't a smuggler. You will be playing the crew of a ship, down on their luck and looking for the next job.

3.) You may choose a Specialization / Career from Edge of the Empire or Force & Destiny.  DO NOT tell me about what career or specialization you want. You can tell me what race/species you want, what planet or region you're from, and maybe a little of what set you up on It's okay if you want to leave some of these details open for future development.

4.) Physical description of your character, including possibly what sort of clothes they wear or weapons they use.

Bios and Character Tags

Your character tag will be created early on. It will be visible in The Cast. Generally it will describe your character in broad terms. The idea is that everyone will be quickly reminded of the role you play in the party.

Han Solo might be 'Human Smuggler,' 'Corellian Pilot,' or what-have-you.

Sometimes the tag might change.

At first, Luke Skywalker might have been 'Tatooinian Farm-boy' or 'Human Rebel.' Later he changed to "Human Jedi Knight."

Your 1st Character Bio line will be written like this:

MDef 0 RDef 0

This will represent the characters' Melee Defence and Ranged Defence, respectively. That way I can tell at a glance what your ordinary levels of defence are. This allows me to make attacks on your characters correctly without consulting your sheet every time.

The 2nd Bio will be written like this:

W 0/10 S 0/10

This represents your Wounds (W) and your Strain (S). Obviously most characters won't have thresholds of 10 for both Wounds and Strain, so that will change based on your character.
You will update these two values as we go on in the game.

morality

I'm glad everyone ended up selecting such a range of character classes. I know I said I wanted everyone to choose between edge of the Empire careers and force and Destiny careers. However, I've decided something slightly different.

Instead of using the obligation rules, everyone is going to use morality. You can start at 50 or at any of the other options given. Please select your choice of bonus regardless of the beginning bottle.

I apologize for making you go back and rebuild your character if you've already started. I hope this won't cost you very much in the way of credits or experience points. However, since we are using for since Destiny modules, there isn't really a lot of scope for making use of obligation in the games. However, there's extensive opportunity to use morality. Thank you for your patience.
