That all makes sense to me!

Garnog is the next best thing to useless at stealth, but if the sneaky folks want to have some nearby backup for when they run away from trolls that notice them he is probably less hard to lead around quietly than a half dozen armed men.

That is indeed where I was hoping to get to, with an added bonus if Garnog was to accompany at a discreet enough distance to provide support.

Okay, for our hunters:

Acaelus - give me two Hunting rolls (this is 1d20 + Skill modifier + Wits modifier); and then one stealth roll (this is 1d20 + danger evasion modifier + Hunting bonus); finally, give me one perception roll (this is 1d20 + danger evasion)

Frode - give me one stealth roll (this is 1d20 + danger evasion modifier + your thievery bonus), and give me one perception roll (this is 1d20 + danger evasion)

Garnog - just need one perception roll for you.

For our defenders:

- If you want to inspire townspeople, direct them to build, train them further with sword, shield, spear, axe, etc, then give me two personal charisma rolls (just your 1d20 + personal charisma modifier)

- If you are going to get into the ditches yourself or otherwise exert yourself in building things (or, as above with personal training) give me one physical vigor roll. (your 1d20 + physical vigor modifier)

You are free to do one or both of those. If there is a different action or thing that you want to do, just let me know.

It happens to the best of us... got a few attack rolls come up as 1s and 2s this weekend during table top!!!!

Vigor rolled 21 secret roll to build shelter for non-combatents and practicing archery.

The dice roller is in an amusing mood today, it gave me a 26 for perception, that would have even worked for stealth, if only just. Fortunately I don't have to tempt it by making another roll.

Back home and recovering I taught my Colon Cancer whose boss! Now radiation and chemo. The battles in the war continue and I will win.

Anyway I'm working on my dissertation for doctorate in sacred literature. I worked on it even after my surgery.

Good to hear, Brianna!   I think if I were healing from something like that, I'd want to keep my mind engaged too.  I haven't studied sacred literature per se, but have been an avid mythology buff since middle school.

I think there was some confusion all around.  I rolled a 26 for perception, and the post said I could detect where the attacks were coming from, but somehow I got trees?

You did roll 26 on your initial perception, so when Garnog woke up he could hear the enemy moving around.

You didn't roll for another second perception which I asked for, so I rolled that for you.

You are all in basically pitch dark, so you can't actually see an enemy or an ally until they are a few feet in front of you.

So you want us all to make a new perception roll every turn through the whole fight?  That is good to know, I thought I already had the roll you needed.
