Prelude: Sierra
Stepping near the left pedestal opened a hidden trap under the floor sliding and locking into place before a second chamber quickly open dumping sierra down a winding smooth stone chute. After sliding for only a mere seconds sierra was spat out of the chute sprawling gracelessly on the floor. As she stood up she heard an old cackle as a cloaked figure stood up from his stooped position in the shadows.

"well", the cloaked figure said with a strong squeak to his voice," i'd say that that's one way to make an entrance to the tower. Need any help their?"

Message: Their will be a few points in the story that the character will be separated either by choice or by DM intervention. During these points I trust you to use only things that are available to that character(this is one of the reasons I allowed the bag, only one character would have it) Have fun and watch out some traps are more plot devices.

Prelude: Sierra
Sierra stands quickly, on the defensive.  "I'm fine!"  The guardian takes a deep breath, trying to sort out her emotions from her response.  She continues, on gaurd, but not acting in anger.  "My apologies...I was taken aback.  My name is Sierra.  I believe I'll be fine with this setback, but anything you can tell me about this place would be welcome.</green>"

She looks at the figure, keeping some distance, and rummages for her signal whistle, taking care that it is obvious she's not drawing a weapon.  "To my knowledge, no one has ever left the tower after entering.  That leaves precious few options for what your history might be, and most of them would have useful information."

Prelude: Sierra
In a high tenor voice the cloaked figure spoke words of peace and calm towards sierra. I mean you no harm, I have been with this room for hundreds of years it amuses me that you are the first to come to my hole. To answer your question. Yes it is true that no one gets out of the tower, but it doesn't mean they have passed on as you will soon learn and see this tower offers something for everyone come follow me. The cloaked figure lifts a clawed hand and mutters some words of evocation as a ball of low burning flame appears in his hand. Turning the figure walks down the hallway behind him not waiting for sierra

Prelude: Sierra
Sierra follows, still wary.  She wasn't as socially graced as a city dweller, but she was smart enough to do the math.  "The first one in hundreds of years?  That simply can't be right.  My path here involved a one in three choice, and hundreds have come here, if not thousands.  Unless perhaps...the Tower is different for each person?"  She keeps her right hand on her sword, judging her companion's words carefully.

"Also, how do you know how many years it's been?  Are you able to observe the outside world?"

Prelude: Sierra
Time isn't linear to use. Their was a load squeak in the end of use. We are and the we arnt. We are what the sentinel needs informers, gaurdians, and guides to those who show up. The figure continued down the hall while exposing. As the hall continued the room started to get wider until a similar opening that Sierra fell trap to this time the pedestal had a pair of silver boots hovering over it.

Prelude: Sierra
"Guardians to those who show up...Or guardians against?"  The entity's words were confusing; perhaps it was telling the truth, or perhaps it was blowing smoke.  Sierra slows at the sight of the boots.  "As a guide, perhaps you could help me.  People speak of treasures in this place, ripe for the picking, and those boots certainly seem to fit the bill.  However, I've never heard people speak of any who reside in the tower, so such legends may be mistakes.  I wouldn't want to offend by taking something that belongs to someone else.  Are things like that...fair game, so to speak?  Or would I be hurting someone by taking them?"

Prelude: Sierra
The figure shivered against the farthest corner of the domed room. "SKWEEE don't know what SKWEEE are but SKWEE know what must be done, some are informers, some are protectors, and some will fight. What i am is an informer, guiding you to this treasure picked for you to aid in the asenstion. Make it to the top and you get to keep the treasure.

Prelude: Sierra
Sierra flinches slightly at the unpleasant sound of the creature's SKWEEEs.  "Thank you, then.  I'll accept all the help I can get."  She smiles, and removes the boots from the pedestal.  While she hardly expects any traps, the outlander gives a brief check to the pedestal to see whether the boots might trigger a hazard upon removal.
After she is content the danger is minimal, Sierra removes the boots.  It seems like it could be poor form to change then and there, so she secures them to her pack and continues following the creature.

Prelude: Sierra
As Sierra attempts to place the boots in her pack, the metal of the boots quickly liquefies and flows down her her arm and waist to her feet were they form around her ankle and feet. Reaching down to them Sierra attempts to remove the magic foot ware but finds them firmly affixed. Breathing rapidly she suddenly feels a sharp poke in her large toes(take 1 point of damage). The boots run silver and red as they coleus into a desire of her subconscious(please describe how these footwear look for the boots are linked to her)

Tentatively Sierra puts her full weight on one foot expecting to feel the sharp pain that she had before hand, finding no pain she realizes that she now has a perfect set of boots they are light and weightless. Looking up she sees that the ceiling has morphed into an obstetrical course of sorts rising up in the air.

Please make all jump attempts, don't worry about failure it will only be fatal(JK, the boots at +10 to all jump results so make the seven rolls dc are 11,13,14,11,15,12,and 20 respectably)

Prelude: Sierra
Sierra looked to the boots, now appearing as a practical set of deep, rich brown that would fit in with any forest floor.  Testing their weight and her own, she works her way nimbly up the course above her.
