Hello all!

I'll be your party healer.

I'd like to work all of you into my background... and vice versa :)

Oracle:
All of you have grown up together in the village of Longdale. You guys have often grown up exploring the countryside and have enjoyed the stories of of the elves from their far off lands. You guys have also sang the songs with the many drunken dwarves at the Rusted Axe Inn.

Please do take a look at Sadina's cast description and lets talk friendships!  Like most of you, she dreams of something bigger than life as a villager.  And she would have relied upon some of you (Parcyan) for protection against bullies.

In reply to Sadina (msg # 8):

Same with me.  I'd like to think we are all friends of sorts growing up in town together.

for me below is my background.  I'm a halfling Guild Artisan (cook) that helps my father in the Broken bow inn.  I like the way you stuck some of these in your Character description.  I'll do mine shortly the same.

Jankin grew up the youngest of Valkas Panmo's two children and spent his childhood working the kitchens with his father and older sister (Jilwyn) at the Broken Bow inn.   Known throughout the town as an excellent hunter, he would bring the best of the local game to help his father cook and serve it at the inn.  Regaled by the tales of adventure by Aelar the inns owner- Jankin spend most of his free time with his friends pretending to be mighty adventures exploring the locals around the town.

Updated my description. And I like the idea. If you all want, we could have shared one particular goal of what we wanted to be when we grew up (I don't know if we are all around the same age, particularly the dwarf wizard) and we decided to work together so everyone can accomplish it. "United by our dreams" kinda deal. Leo's would be to become rich and famous as a powerful hero.

Presumably, we have bonded over adventures... find a lost cat, chase away a mangy wolf from someone's farm, claim bounties on foxes, etc.  The coin we earn could be a good way to explain some of the arms & armor we have at character creation :)

Jankin and Leo are going to be fun friends (and also the ones likely to drag you into mischief).  Everyone likes a guy who can cook and another guy who knows the land.  Plus Halfing folk in general are less inclined to give Sadina grief about her heritage.

I think we probably are the same age , relatively speaking. Her parents moved to the village as part of the mining team and probably told her to "play with the others" so she is likely to be the same. She is less dour than she might otherwise have been as a result. Of course, she was also probably the "responsible" one as far as the adults were concerned, washing dishes when things went wrong.  She probably joined in happily, except when she was studying for her exams.

She is still rather open, for a dwarf,

I was thinking about having Parcyan Phinsey be a tad older than most young adventurers (in human years). Feel free to make up stories and relations to him as you see fit, based on my brief description below. He is a by-the-book kind of guy, but very protective of those who might not be able to defend themselves.

As a young man Parcyan Phinsey was a soldier, but later joined the small and quiet townsguard of the village. His old rank has stayed with him, and he is known as Lieutenant Phinsey, Mr. Phinsey, just Lieutenant or (more often than not ) "Parry". In the quiet days of the community Parry would have easily been dragged into the "adventures" of the local youngsters, be it that missing cat, the rumors of the lost treasure or an expedition into the nearby woods - mostly to keep the kids safe. As they've grown into young adults, Parry has become a little older and rusty. Back in the day he moved to the village because he had an old aunt there; the last of his family. After she passed away, he has been living alone, with no wife or kids. With new threats on the horizon the old soldier might have to dust off old skills and see if he can get an aging body back into shape.

Sounds good, Charoite.  I'd like to hear more about her wizarding abilities, her take on all the legends, and whatever else you feel like sharing :)

In Parcyan's case, I have no issue with an older party member.  Sadina would have been one of those who sought his protection in the past... given that she's not good in a fight.  Now that she's come of age and a priestess, the intolerance has shifted down to whispers and disapproval.  Is Parry still employed as a guard?

I had no issue with my character sheet.
