Her majesty sighs and Cami can for a moment feel the heavy weight of the Crown on Her majestys head.

"More immediately for you dear an act of cruelty commited near you even if your not culpable for it, can burden your heart with Shadows. this is why many Elder hopeful withdraw from the world."

“Where might I find others of my kind in this Dreamland? I would seek advice from the as well.” Cami smiled. “As quaint as the villages are here, I’m not sure what they have to offer me.”

Secretly, she was wondering if any of the other Hopeful had failed in such a way as she had, and how they had gotten though it.

"In this very palace would actually be an excellent place to start. As many hopeful come regularly to Ask their Queens Council, And many would happily assist one as young as you"

Taking her leave from the queen, Cami begins to wander the vast, opulent palace. Through some means, she ends up in the kitchen. Seeing folks busy at work, she apologizes and wanders into the adjoining dining room.

Seated at a large table are a mere two Princess: one wears what could be colorful pirate garb and the other is dressed in a modest Victorian.

Cami asks, “May I sit with you.” The pirate one---her mouth crammed--simply nods. Cami takes a seat and says, “My name is Cami. The Queen said I should seek out other Nobles.”

Cami crosses her fingers on her lap and looks down. “My first foray in the world as after my Blossoming, I only found that something had already happened to my friend.” She teared up a little. “And I was helpless to prevent it. Even the creature still there, hiding in the shadows, I could do nothing to it.” She looked up and both of the others were looking at her. “How do you deal with such sorrows?”

A sigh "Theirs many ways... What is your calling? Grace? Best organize a Nakama to slay the monsters"

pauses "That's one way... the best option... if you cant find other hopeful in town in time you could organize mercenarys.... Theirs only one Combat related charm that is naturally resonant to Graces and it will let you terrify off not destroy, still it could work to clear the area for a bit."


"Finally the worse way is to study Things out of your calling and learn to summon and wield a weapon yourself..."

“Is there a certain type of dark monster that eats its prey’s flesh and leaves behind only bloody bones?” Cami found herself asking despite that one of the other Nobles was just finishing her food.

“Are there books to be found on these subjects?” Cami felt like she was grasping at straws.

Cami rises from her seat. "Could you please point me in the direction of the library? I feel like I have enough time to at least read up some of what I do not know."

The pirate-garbed Princess points at a doorway across the room. "Down that hallway, and several slights of steps up. They might not all be written in a language you can understand."

Cami smiles. "All I can do is my best."

She takes her leave and starts the slow crawl through the palace to reach the massive doors of the library.

She finds it a lot of the literature is on poetry courtly ettiquite etc...

Cami spends a lot of time looking for the history of the Dreamlands and the Queens. Although she does take in some of the more trite literature she comes across.

It takes a while she finds a lot of books on the Queens Various Wars.

She finds one on the Release how the Queens and most of the hopeful were imprisoned for ages and ages.

Most of the Wars and kingdoms she'd read of Only existed in the Dreamlands during this long imprisonment.

The Queens and everyone else Thought this Dream World was Real


Then the Release Came

They Quite Suddenly became aware of the illusionary nature of this world.


No one understands why though a generally accepted theory is that its because of the moon landing.


Also it notes that destroying Darkness in the Dreamlands is almost but not quite in vain it wont reduce the total darkness in the universe.

It wont Directly benefit earth.

But you might gain experience.

and you might learn a thing or two about what the Darkness is up to on earth.

Cami leafs through the books, making notes and trying to figure out where in the lands darkness might yet hide? Was it in the wide ranges between the towns? Or hidden within the homes of those too ancient to realize? Was it set beneath the palace itself? Or did it roam through some wasteland Cami had yet to hear of?

She finds after a bit theirs a few Dark regions Scattered throughout the Dreamlands They reflect dark places on earth though are often times a conglogermate.

Someone from a table away comes to her.

"New to this land?"

Cami tucks a strand of hair behind her hair and looks up.
“Quite, yes.” She half drops the paper she’s writing up to reach out a hand. “I’m Cami.”
She glances down at the books open in front of her. “I’m looking into the darkness in these lands. I have a feeling that if I just… understood it better, I would be more able to fend it away. From those I care about.”

pauses "Would you like to join us on a excursion were putting together to deal with just that Darkness in this land?" asks.

Cami's mouth opens in an "O." "If I could be of any help, I would surely join you."

"Depends on your talents? We could use some help Keeping a Civillian Caravan out of the way"

“I can appeal to people’s hearts. I can find those who are lost. I can lend power to others to strike down the darkness.”

Cami stands. "I am ready to aid you."

they nod with approval "That's the spirit!"

“Where is this caravan headed?” Cami asked. Inside, she felt a lift of spirits that she could manage to protect someone.

“What kind of darkness do we face?”

"To a City a Bit past here going too close to the Tainted Region because of the Directness of their Route.

Were also hoping to Raise more soldiers my Friend as is We only have Enough to Harry the Darkspawn that pollute the location."

Cami couldn’t help but gulp. She had said she was up for this, but here was a prospect to act more directly than she had before. I need to get used to this, she told herself. That’s when confidence began to settle over her. What was dangerous, what was dark, she was born to fight, wherever it dared show itself. She had nothing to prove. She did this for the sake of others, whether those close to her or complete strangers.

nods "You think you can make the appeal to the people?" asks.

Cami inched closer to the other Noble. It was really good just to be around someone who was like herself in many ways. She put out her right hand. “Can I ask your name? I’m Cami. I will surely do my best to convince others to join us.”
She smiled then added, “Just point the way.”

Smiles "I'm Zach" Shakes her hand.
