You were with Christopher in the Citadel.

"So what is happening with De La Vega," Christopher asked.

“He has a new 'cohort'.” Cailin frowned. “And at the moment, he wants me to help them before I help him.” She paused for a second, “Well, he said that 'the best way to help him was to help them', so… The weird thing is that they're now on the map, so I guess that's alright.”

“Two of them are vampires, but apparently one is a fae and the other a hunter. Other than that…” She shrugged, “Nothing much at the moment as far as I know.”

I'm assuming it's before the attack on the truck?

"That was unexpected," Christopher said. "And though some have received clients that haven't been assigned, getting four of them just like that is not normal."

"What we need you to do, is to listen to De La Vega as much as you can. And report everything he says to me."

Cailin simply shrugged when Christopher commented on her unexpected number of 'clients': one, she had no idea what was and wasn't normal, and two, even if it was indeed not normal - and she was perfectly ready to trust Christopher on that - what was she going to do about it?

When asked to listen to De La Vega though, she frowned, “It's not like I have much to do besides that, but… Why? What am I listening for? You want to know if he has some dealings with demons or something?”

"That and more," Christopher said. "We want to know everything he does. Especially if it's evil or he otherwise works against us."

“Great.” That mission sucked. Her first 'charge' - she decided she didn't want to use the word client - was a vampire, who was much older than her, knew a lot more than she did, probably snacked on humans every chance he got, and might have dealings with demons. And somehow, not only she was supposed to protect him, but to 'guide him to the light'. Right. At least Christopher wasn't kidding when he said that first missions sucked.

In the end though… What could she do? She sighed, “How do I contact you if I have something that I think you should know right now?”

"You can contact me here," Christopher said. "Unfortunately our condition doesn't come with built-in phones. But we Elders can let you know when we want you to come here. When we send that message, you need to come here immediately."

“Uh. Alright.” Cailin took a second to think about that. “And just to know… If you call me but doing so puts one of my charges in danger, or simply if I can't leave straight away because there are humans around and I can't Orb out easily?”
