As a DM who archives my games, I'm always mindful of the 1000 post limit because you lose the ability to archive the oldest posts

Cora is tragically unaware that some of the most dangerous/easily provoked animals on earth are herbivores.

Ugh, spent the entire weekend moving a friend. Took way longer than expected. Will post tomorrow.

Just so I'm reading it right, are we on top of the steep slope, looking down upon the valley and the large herd of aurochs below us?

Also, how long have we traveled (days or just hours)? Wondering if Little Ildiko has recharged yet. Probably not worth it to call on her for these guys, but still curious.

Good idea, Sikuaq :)

DM, do we need any rolls to progress?

I love Pass without Trace. I love that it's super powerful but requires you to bunch up, I love that it's an actual thing instead of the mostly just flavour spell in 3.5, I love the it makes druids/rangers important to stealth but can also be used by trickery clerics . . .

Think of it like a Y-shape, with two rivers flowing into one. All are in steep-sided valleys and there's this big herd spread out in those valleys over an area of several square miles (or kilometers, for our Canadian friends). All you know is that the entrance is somewhere in one of these valleys, possibly destroyed/obscured.

You were a few days traversing the tundra, so Lilly is good to go.

If we're going with the Sikuaq PwT plan, you'll automatically succeed on the Stealth part. You'd be able to cover about 1/3 of the region that needs exploring in the hour the spell lasts, and if you don't find it in that time you can regroup and decide whether to cast again or try something else.

I'll take a Survival and a Perception check from Fergus, both with advantage. The first will be to determine the general area to search in, and the second for the actual search in that area.

In reply to Opalia (msg # 9):

LOL.

BTW Opalia you determine the strongest of these aurochs is your equal in strength, but none is your equal in fighter levels! (they all multi-classed into rogue)

lol, thanks for this crucial info, DM ;D

Oh gosh, auroch rogues?!  There could be a whole second herd hidden somewhere in this valley waiting to sneak-stampede us!

I'd be more concerned about your coin purse.  Those few over there look pretty shifty....
