Bluweil Mountains

Looking at the pamphlet, renting a bike seems kinda expansive. As you walk closer to the station, you see a map of the different routes you can take, each with a difficulty level similar to ski slopes. One of them draws your attention, as it has a large CLOSED sticker on it, accompanied by an explosion warning.

Near the rental building, a woman with a booming voice ask "Come on! Aren't any of ya trainers? Wha'd it takes to get ya to step up?" Her blue overalls seem to mark her as an employee.

Jake approached the station with a bounce in his step. He made out what he could on the sign of the different slopes and difficulty levels. He was curious about the explosion marker and the closed sign. What happened there? An unfortunate voltorb incident?

When he heard the booming voice calling for pokemon trainers, Jake legged it with an expeditious speed walk to the source of the voice, raising his hand initially, then jumping a couple of times enthusiastically,
"Oh, Me, me! I am a trainer. I've got what it takes!"

He was not sure what they were referring to, but if it could win him a discount for the bike riding, it was going to be worth it!

"Finally!" The woman says, throwing her arms up in the arm. "At this point, I'd settle for a preschooler!"

She takes a good look at you, then nods. "I'm Regina, I take care of the slopes here. Making sure everthing's working fine. Problem is... it's not. Ever heard of Chairluire's history?"

Jake scoffed at the mention of preschool,
"Lady, I never gone to school, so no way am I a preschooler! I still know enough about pokemon to help a person in need though! I don't know anything about Chairluire other than it is up north of here. What's going on lately?"

As if to demonstrate his prowess as a trainer he released all three of his pokemon to let them get some fresh air and look cool.

She overlooks your Laconney completely, but nods when she sees Skipper and Fetcher. "Don't really care about the news, it's history that's the problem. 'Bout a hundred years ago, there's been a civil wars across Cadien. The biggest rebelling faction holed up in Chairluire. Everyone thought it would be a major grin to get them out.

Only, the king was pretty smart about his tactics. He used rocks and flying pokémons to get over the mountain, and had explosive geodudes jump down on the castle. The bombardment broke the rebel's defense, and put an end to the war.

Now that was all well and good back then, but the king didn't clean up after himself. He left a bunch of the geodudes behind, and they've been breeding over the years. They're all over the mountain around the castle. Only thing that held them back were the rivers. Only we have a bit of a drought the last few days, so..."

She points to the closed trail on the map. "They pretty much took over the Wall Ride, and they're trying to spread to the Valley Drain. Now, I can close one of the hardest trail for a while, but one of the most popular one? No chance. If I did, some hotheads would just try to run it anyway, and stumble into a living minefield! I need you to try and catch a few of them. With a bit ah luck, I can train them to keep the others off of my trails."

Reaching into the rental shop, she pulls out a dinged-up but solid looking bike, as well as a bag of balls. "If ya' willing, I'll supply the balls, and lend you a bike for the day. 'Course, ya can keep one of them rock, if ya want."

Jake clapped his hands with excitement, he got to do some biking and catching on someone else's dime. That was hot stuff. And the work that he had to do was something he needed to practice, battling and catching.
"That king sounds like a smart dude. I'd have never thought of that! Still, sounds like I will be the one helping clean up that mess. I am sure I can net a few rockers for you! Should I start on the path where they are thickest or hunt the edges of Valley Drain?"

While accepting the mission, Jake fetched the bag-o-balls and checked out the bike in closer detail, hopping on it for a moment to see how it felt. He'd pull all his pokemon except Fetcher before he took off though, Fetcher could do some scouting from above as he took it slow down whichever path the employee suggested. Even if he could handle the slopes, he didn't want to crash into a random geodude in the way.
