Whispering at this point, Seymour said to Jakey, "We should probably try and board closer to the rear. Especially if the ship might crash into rocks at any moment. I plan to have Rampage, my Pinsir, help pull me up. I figure he is plenty strong to handle the task. Want me to have Malley transform into Rampage to help you up too?"

In the meantime, Seymour directed his Ditto-Lombre to the best spot where they could continue to avoid detection, but still hitch a ride near the rear of the ship. He kept an eye out for any ropes hanging down or view-blocking life boats that might help them get aboard quickly and unnoticed.

My current plan for boarding is to release Rampage when they are near the rear of the ship and get a piggy back ride up the side of the ship. He will return Ditto to its ball at that time, or have it transform into another Pinsir to help Jakey.

Seymour will only have Pinsir, Ditto, and Shedinja with him on the enemy ship. His others may or may not be within earshot though, if they avoid getting KOed.

The ship is pretty minimal, with no life boats, and few ropes hanging of the sides. The back does have a rear castle, hiding you from the sight of anyone on the main deck. There are also two windows, though barely large enough for you two to sneak in.

Jake manages to make his way up with the help of Inky and his Bandicoon, while Rampage has no issue bringing Jake up. Looking into the window, you don't see anyone inside the rear cabin.

As Jake made his way up the side of the ship, he tried to remember where he found the treasure chest on the sunken ship in the ship graveyard. After all, if they were a part of the same challenge, the treasure might be in the same place.
As he thought, he retracted all of his pokemon other than bandicoon into their pokeball. He figured bandicoon and himself were the most stealthy of his team. He also listened to the surroundings and waited as he peered into the rear cabin window.
"Woah, this is actually working. Awesome," Jake whispered to Seymour,
"What's next? We don't know where the enemies are or where the treasure is."

If Jake remembers where the treasure was on the sunken ship though, he would inform Seymour of his guess for the location.

Once inside, Seymour had his Pinsir go hold the doors shut while he and Jakey discussed their next move. "Unless our friends show up with our ship, I don't know if it makes much sense to go after the treasure. Even if we find it, what would our next move be? We would still be more or less stuck on this ship. Which means our next move should probably be to head downward to poke some holes in the bottom ship. I could probably even send Shedinja ahead through the walls to scout out the best spot to start breaking through floors, if there isn't a trapdoor or staircase somewhere in here." Seymour began looking around the room for any ways downward even as he waited for Jakey's input on his thoughts.

There's two doors in the cabin. From the layout of your own ship, one leads to the main deck, while the other leads to a stair descending into the ship's hull.

Jake, clearly in a larcenous mood, didn't look completely satisfied with the idea of NOT stealing the treasure,
"Well, OK. Your idea is probably better, but if I get a chance to grab the booty, I'm taking it! Both of them are probably below deck anyhow. Probably keep all our pokemon close to us. Don't want to risk them getting spotted and giving the game away."

Jake then sneakily moved towards the door descending into the hull. He was expecting there to be guards inside and outside the ship, but he's hid from the police many times before. He was a bit more concerned about Seymour inadvertently giving them away. Then again, one man's capture could be another man's distraction.

Seymour nodded at Jakey's advice and returned his pokemon to their pokeballs. Quietly, he said, "I'll watch our rear. You lead the way. I say if we get down a few levels before anyone spots us, then if we do get spotted, we should scatter and have our pokemon try to make holes in the hull in several different spots at once. Of course, we'll have to adapt as the situation changes too."

Jake moves silently down the stairs, the sounds of his steps masked by the creaking of the ship's wood. At the bottom, he opens the door to see the main part of the ship's hold. He can't see the chest from his position, but he does see the other stair climbing to the main deck, as well as two Herenport sailors keeping watch. They haven't noticed Jake yet, as they seem more focused on the sides of the ship.

Jake softly closed the door. The best way to not get spotted was to not even approach the line of sight. He then turned to Seymour,
"Two baddies in that room. But if we aren't here to snatch anything, we can do some damage in here."

Jake pointed to the door at the top and bottom of the stairwell,
"Just gotta make sure they don't get in and stay a bit quiet as we try to bust a hole in the bottom. I don't got much pokemon with me for busting holes though. Fetcher maybe can peck down, but we might need to work the nails. That should be quiet, but it will take a while."

Jake then rummaged through the bits he brought with to see if his survival backpack came with anything to help tear up the floor, even if just a claw hammer. He also looked for something to wedge into the hinge-side of the door to help keep the doors jammed shut as they worked.

"My Pinsir and Ditto can probably Brick Break through pretty quickly, but I doubt it would be quiet. Still, if you need them, they are here." Seymour released the two pokemon and had the Ditto transform into the Pinsir. "I suppose if a fight does break out though, we should try to make any ensuing battles cause as much collateral damage to the ship's hull as possible."

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem you have anything to wedge the bottom door with. It also doesn't help that both the door opens away from you (inside the stair well for the upper door, and toward the hold for the bottom door).

While searching your pack for tools, you notice Bandicoon keeping watch at the door, her trademark crowbar at the ready...

Calling her back in the room, you direct her to pull up some of the planks, just enough that Rampage and Malley are able to lift them off without making too much noise. And looking through the hole, you see the rear of the hull is walled off, making a small locked room right bellow the rear castle. And in the middle, strapped to a table bolted to the floor, is an arm-long chest.

"Lucky us!" Seymour exclaimed quietly as the floor revealed the treasure room below. "Maybe we can make off quietly with the treasure after all. You and your pokemon want to sneak back out with the chest and I can stay to bust open the hull if you get caught? Me and my pokemon can stay hidden in the locked treasure room. I doubt they will check in there too often."

Jake gave his trademark thumbs up to Seymour. Still, they were not 100% safe yet. There might be a booby trap on the chest or someone watching it who was just out of sight. To test the latter, he prodded Bandicoon to toss the used glowstick through the hole. If no one came to check out the bit of trash, he'd approach the chest with Bandicoon and look for any sort of trap, alarm, or security system.
"This was way too easy." Jake commented as he forgot how complicated their plan had been.

If everything checked out safely, he'd try to get the chest open and prepare to get out with the loot,
"Yeah, if you hear crashing above, bust this thing up something good. Heck, bust it up five minutes after I get out. We can break their ship and get the treasure! I don't know how to find our boat anyhow."

There's no reaction in the room as the small tube hits the floor, and you don't see anything fancy or high-tech protecting the place. As far as you can tell, there's not even a lock on the door.

You slip into the treasure room, and closely examine the chest. At first, it doesn't look trapped. But when you test it's weight, you realize first that it's pretty heavy (clearly too heavy to float), and second, there are some bell-like balls in a hollow space under the chest. There's a good chance they'd make a lot of noise if allowed to fall off the table, something that's pretty much guarantied to happen if you'd just lifted the chest.

Once they were down in the room, Seymour had Pinsir hold the door handle shut in case anyone tried to open it while they were inside. He then whispered to Jakey, "You still want to try sneaking out with the chest? Or should we just have all of our pokemon rip open the walls at the same time and swim out through the holes?" Seymour himself was pretty much okay with any of the options.

Jake wasn't sure. He didn't bring any particularly physically strong pokemon with him... except maybe skipper. He figured it would be best to follow the latter of Seymour's plan,
"Yeah, I don't know if I can get something so big out and up the stairs. Lets try to break out. I'll have my Bandy loosen up some boards higher up, then maybe rampage smashes them? We can have Jet and Manty carry the chest out once the water comes in."

Jake then released Skipper, Fetcher, and Inky to watch the door and ambush anyone who tries to get in to the room.

Seymour nodded, agreeing with Jakey's plans. "Jett is still outside the ship keeping the enemy's attention, but if he hasn't fainted in battle, I'll call him over to help when we get outside. Same with Farrah and Captain Lombre."

The trainer turned to his pokemon (the Pinsir, Shedinja, and Ditto/Pinsir) to whisper them their instructions. "On my mark, I want all three of you to start breaking through the ship's hull. There, there, and there. Start focusing your energy now." He pointed to three different spots on the wall to spread out the potential damage, which would hopefully make it more difficult to repair. "Corium, use whatever you think will get you through the wood the fastest. Maybe Fury Swipes? Rampage and Malley, I want you two to use Brick Break. When it is time to go, I'll return Rampage to his ball and the rest of us will flee through the hull. Malley, you will have to transform into one of Falkner's swimming pokemon at that time so you can help me swim. Everyone ready?"

Seymour waited until all of his pokemon were in place and took some deep breaths. There would be no turning back from this point forward. He gave Jakey a nervous smile. "Let's do this!" he said, signaling his pokemon to begin. And the wood splinters started flying!

Pinsir: Using Focus Energy before they begin, then Brick Break when Seymour gives the signal. Will be returned to his pokeball when they leave the ship.

Ditto/Pinsir: Using Focus Energy before they begin, then Brick Break when Seymour gives the signal. Will transform into a swimming pokemon to help Seymour leave the ship.

Shedinja: Using Fury Swipes or whatever else will work well to break wood. Will follow Seymour when he leaves the ship.

Seymour: Will supervise and try to help move the chest out if he won't get in the way doing so.

Seymour's pokemon start chipping away at the wall, but it get noisy fast. Before they can make much progress, the two sailors that were guarding the hold kick open the door, and take only a moment to look at you before sending out their pokemons.

Seymour decided to let Jakey's ambushers handle the new arrivals for the moment so that his own pokemon could focus on making the holes bigger. He did point his pokedex at the pokemon that had appeared though. He knew about shellders, but the dratini-lapras was one he didn't recognize.

"You got this Falkner!" he said encouragingly to his friend.

Using my pokedex on the dratini-lapras. My pokemon will continue focusing on the walls for now, since Jakey had some pokemon set aside specifically for ambushing whoever came in through the door.

Edit: Changed "Jakey" to "Falkner."

As soon as the pokemon were released into the room, Jake gave orders to his pokemon lying in wait,
"
Skipper, chuck a mud bomb at the Shellder!
Fetcher, use peck on the Ryoosh!
Inkay, use switcheroo on the Ryoosh or Shellder if they have items!!
"

After the initial order if they manage to push the enemies out of the room with their ambush, Jake would give further instructions,
"Skipper, get in the doorway, block it and use bide! Fetcher, leer at the enemies from behind skipper, and Inky prepare to topsy-turvey Skipper if they try to mess with him!"

Skipper manages to wound the Shellder, before tossing it out of the room. Fetcher has less luck, failing to really hurt the Ryoosh, before getting knocked out by an Aqua Tail. On the up side, Inky managed to grab an Oran berry from the Ryoosh (the Shellder had nothing).

Seymour keeps working on the walls, but progress is slow.

"Keep it up, Falkner! Let me know if you need help!" It was unfortunate that Fetcher had been knocked out so quickly, but his other pokemon were doing great so far.

To his own pokemon, he said, "Corium, Malley, Rampage. Keep up the great work. Let's get those holes as big as you can. Reinforcements could be here at any moment. Don't be afraid to switch up your attacks if you think another move might work better."

Even as he spoke, a new idea formed in his mind thanks to the pokedex entry he had just heard. "Actually, Malley, I want you to Transform into Ryoosh." If Ryoosh could move masses of water like the pokedex said, maybe Malley could move a mass of water away from the ship, causing it to sink lower and be more likely to crash into the nearby rocks!

Corium and Rampage will keep attacking the walls. Malley will transform into Ryoosh and try to lower the water level of the sea surrounding the ship (so that it crashes into the rocks they lured the ship near). In the likely chance that that strategy won't work, Malley will resume attacking the walls with Ryoosh's most powerful attack.
