"Wha? Fetcher, return!" Jake pulled the bird back into its ball and gave it a thought before asking Seymour for backup,
"If you can spare one pokemon, that would be great, just don't slow down getting out!"

He then turned his attention back to the fight. Inky getting a single berry seemed like it ended up being a waste of time, so he switched up its tactic,
"Inky, use psybeam on the Ryoosh! Revenge Fetcher!
Skipper, keep sticking in the doorway and keep biding! Don't let them in!
"

You can hear the two sailors calling for help, as the Shellder fires off a Brine attack on Skipper. It does little to harm him, but his reply manages to knock out the Shellder. For his part, Inky fails to pin down the Ryoosh with his psybeam, in part because of his speed, partly because it uses Protect to defend itself. At least it's Aqua Tail doesn't seem to hurt Inky as much...

As Seymour's pokemon start to make some progress on the walls, causing multiple leaks, Malley turns into a copy of the Ryoosh.

"Alright Falkner. Help is on the way. Corium, blast the enemy Ryoosh with your shadowball!" More quietly, he turned to the transformed Malley and said, "Malley, if you can somehow lower the water level around the ship, do it. If not, resume breaking through the wall with your strongest attack." He figured it would be best if their enemy didn't know about his water-lowering idea, just in case it worked. Especially while they still had a Ryoosh of their own that could counteract it, or had time to alert the ship's navigator.

"Rampage, keep up the great work! Let's get a waterfall flooding in here!"

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Malley knows how to lower the water around you. And his Aqua Tail doesn't see too efficient at breaking down the walls. At least Rampage manages to break a hole in the hull, causing water to rush in.

Meanwhile, the Ryoosh has no trouble resisting both Corium's and Inky's attack, though his own attack don't seem to hurt Inky much.

Then, a Light Screen appears in front of the Ryoosh. Looking out beyond Skipper, you see the knocked out Shellder has been replaced by a Starmie.

A Starmie!? Seymour double-checked his pokedex even as he gave his new orders. His mind was racing as he struggled to calculate al aspects of their situation simultaneously. "Corium, use Shadow Ball again, but this time aim for that Starmie. Malley, try a Slam against the wall instead. And Rampage, you're rocking it! Try to Brick Break a new hole over where Corium was working."

With water now rushing past his feet, the trainer risked a quick glance over at Jakey and said, "Feel free to try and slip out with the chest if you see an opportunity. I can do my best to hold them off. They might try sending reinforcements in through the new hole before too long." Or at least, that is what Seymour might try to do if he were trying to defend this ship.

"Ryoosh! Switch to Dragon Rage!" You hear from out of the cabin, distracting the pokemon for a moment, causing it to miss. But at the same time, Inky's attack just don't seem to phase the Ryoosh.

"Starmie! Use Harden! Keep that Marshtomp busy!" The starfish stays on the defensive, as Skipper stares it down. Meanwhile, Corium's attack dissipates harmlessly against the Starmie's Light Screen.

Inside, Malley Slams the hull (to little effect), while Rampage breaks a second hole in the hull. But at the same time, a block of ice gets stuck in Rampage's first hole, slowing down the water leak.

Turning in a slow circle as he spoke, Seymour gave his pokemon a new set of orders. "Corium, use Mind Reader on Starmie this time, then Shadowball. Rampage, Brick Break a new hole where Malley just slammed. Malley, focus on clearing out the ice instead now." He would have had Malley transform back into Pinsir, but now that water was pouring in, Seymour wanted to make sure he had a swimmer available in case of an emergency.

Jake didn't change his orders for Skipper or inky. After all, they were doing a great job of buying time. However, as the water flowed into the boat, he was getting a bit concerned with bandicoon working on the walls,
"Keep prying the boards off the hull! Weaken them so they can be brick-broken! Let out a yelp when you need to get back"

There was also the prospect of getting out with the chest; for that reason, Jake prepped manty for a runout,
"Alright, Manty, shoot a signal beam at the the enemy when it looks like we have big enough holes to get out safely!"

Jake was getting a little concerned that the bottom of the ship would fill up before the holes in the hull got big enough to escape through, but he figured the military would help them escape once it was clear their boat was going down.

The Ryoosh and Inky finally manage to hit one another, both injuring the other... but Inky bites down on his berry, healing his wound. And with the help of his Mind Reader, Corium manages to land a hit on the Starmie.

At the same time, Rampage, Bandy, and Malley manage to widen the hole, as well as crack the ice block, leaving a hole wide enough to let you get out... and with a bit more work, it seems you could drag the chest out too. Manty signals it to Jake, missing the Ryoosh with his Signal Beam.

Above, you can hear commands being yelled, though you can't make out what they're saying.

"Alright, great work everyone! Keep up the fighting," Jake called out to his pokemon, but then turned to Manty and Bandy and spoke in a bit quieter voice,
"Let's get this loot out of here. Bandy, help be lift it and Manty, lets get ready to escape through the hole."

Jake then trudged his way through the rising water to the chest of loot and tried to get it lifted with help. He'd then try to see if Manty could support both him and the chest; he'd do his best to support himself, but he knew he wasn't the best swimmer.

"Corium, nice job! Try that trick again. Rampage, keep working on those walls. You're doing spectacular! Malley, keep the water flowing in. Help Manty too if he needs it." It probably wouldn't be easy for Jakey to fight the incoming flow at the best of times, much less while trying to maneuver a heavy chest too. He figured his currently-a-water-pokemon could help get him out the hole successfully.

Skipper and the Starmie have another inconclusive exchange, until someone runs down, ordering Starmie's trainer back on the deck. The newcomer sends out a Golduck, ready to take on Skipper. Inky has better luck, landing a solid blow on Ryoosh.

And possibly a KO, if Jake is willing to spend 1 favor.

Manty and Bandy tries to lift the chest, but it's heavier than you expected, and clearly too heavy for Manty to move. Lucky for you, the Ryoosh is pretty strong... and by proxi, so is Malley. It moves the chest closer to the hole, but with it's slippery skin, it will be hard for it to carry the treasure.

"Corium, use Confuse ray on that new opponent, the Golduck. Malley, transform into the Golduck and see if that helps you move with the chest."

He turned to Jakey, "If Malley ends up needing to carry the chest, I may need one of your swimming buddies to help me get out of here. I'm not sure my Shedinja is corporeal enough to help me swim..."

"Golduck! Psych UP!" The Golduck stares intensely at Skipper, it's red gem glowing. So intensely, that he just stand there as Corium hits it with his Confuse Ray.

And following Seymour's command, Malley changes shape. And though it will be hard to swim with the chest, having opposable thumb does wonders in this situation, and it's able to hold up the chest, and make it's way out of the ship.

"Try a Leech Life next," Seymour suggested to Corium. Seeing his only "water" pokemon leaving the ship, he yelled to Malley, "Send Jett or Captain Lombre in if you see them out there, but otherwise try and get that chest to our ship! Ask Farrah for help if she's still out there too!" Rampage seemed to still be doing great, so Seymour didn't give the Pinsir any new instructions at the moment.

"Great Job Inky," Jake called as the ryoosh went down, "Now, keep an eye on Seymour and Skipper, when it gets to bad in here, help them out!"

With a water pokemon, albeit a small one, in a safe spot and ready to help Seymour get out when the ship flooded too much, Jake used Manty to help get himself out of the ship and follow Lombre. As he left, he pulled Bandy back into its pokeball.

With Skipper and Inky back in the ship, Fetcher and Nanny KO'd, Jake hoped that his remaining two pokemon and Lombre would be enough to get back to their ship... well, or just last long enough until Seymour could tear the whole boat to shreds.

The fight against the Golduck is at a stand-still, with the duck too confused to fight, while Inky and Corium can't land a blow on it. Seymour sees another sailor run down, sending out a Slowbrow.

Before he has time to worry about it, Rampage breaks another chunk of the hull, sweeping him away as the water starts to really flood the room.

Meanwhile, as Jake follows Malley and the chest, he sees why only two sailors came to fight your group at the time. Your own ship is close, and by the flashes of lights above, the two vessels are in full-blown combat. And moments later, Lombre passes Jake, heading back toward Seymour.

"Rampage, return!" Seymour said as his big bug was washed back by the flood of his own making. The pokemon had done a great job and had earned a good long rest.

Focusing back on the battle, Seymour said to Corium, "Shift focus to the Slowbro. Use Mind Reader, then Shadowball! We need to hold the line as long as possible." Then he added to the sailors, "Unless your crew is ready to throw in the towel..." With so much water coming in now, he wasn't sure if they would be able to stop the flow of water anymore. He held tight to the table that used to hold the treasure chest in order to avoid getting washed away himself.

"In your dreams! Golduck, Icy Wind! Freeze that leak in the door!" <PAF!> "NO! STOP HITTING YOURSELF IN CONFUSION!"
That seems to be enough for the Golduck to recover, and start freezing the water around the door... and Skipper. But looking at how quickly the seawater pours in, it may take a while before the door is blocked.

"Slowbro! Flamethrower!" The new pokémon breathes a gout of flame at Corium, who dodges the attack just long enough to fire a Shadow Ball before being knocked out. At least the Slowbro is wounded...

Corium had to use his Dodge ability to survive long enough to fire his Shadow Ball.

Unfortunately, Jake was too far from Skipper to help it deal with the freezing attack. As he swam, he noticed Lombre going back,
"Hey, what are you doing? We need to get that to our ship and we win!"

Jake tried to signal Lombre to keep heading towards the victory condition. He wasn't sure if the chest would be able to float... if it could, maybe he could have Manty and Bandicoon get it back and he would just struggle swimming by himself to the ship. Still, it was worth a shot if Lombre didn't get the message.

Jake popped Bandi out of its pokeball and checked to see how well she could swim. If the raccoon-pokemon could adequately help Jake get to the ship, he'd send Manty to distract the sailors of the opposing ship for a bit longer. If Bandi didn't seem to be a strong swimmer, Jake would just retract her and keep using Manty as his swimming buddy.

OOC:  Woops, misread the situation a bit! Forgot Lombre was always outside. Thanks for the clarification

"Flamethrower!?" Seymour exclaimed in surprise. He had not been expecting that from a Slowbro.

But he had to deal with what life throw his way, so Seymour sent out his last pokemon (at least until Lombre made his appearance). He threw Rampage's pokeball through the doorway so that the big bug wouldn't get trapped with Seymour on the side of the doorway filling with water. "Rampage, it's your time to shine again. Use Vital Throw on the Slowbro. Toss them into the Golduck!"

While the big bug was busy battling, Seymour took a moment to treat his smaller bug's wounds. The good thig about having a pokemon with such low HP was that it didn't take much to bring it back to full health.

Trying to heal Shedinja's 1 HP, and having my Pinsir throw the Slowbro at the Golduck. Let me know when Lombre gets inside.

The Golduck continues it's attempts at freezing the room Seymour is in, despite Inky's repeated attacks. It's only distracted when a surprised Slowbro goes flying past him, Rampage having little trouble tossing the large creature about, but lacking the accuracy to weaponize it.

But Seymour is too busy reviving Corium to focus on the fight. You do notice the flow of water seems to be slowing down, as another block of ice blocks part of the hole Rampage made.

Meanwhile, Jake finds Bandi, though a good swimmer, can't really pull him along. Not that it matters, as he soon reaches the Junior Buccaneer. He sees the two ships are trading blows, with Tri-Beam and Sludge Bomb facing Water Guns and Hyper Beams.

Corium is back on it's... feet? Float? Ectoplasm? Anyway, it's back on it.

And for a meager 4 favors, Rampage's blow can be enough to KO the Slowbro!

"You're back!" Seymour said excitedly as Corium came to once again. "Let's get that strength of yours back up again. Think you can Spite the Golduck's Icy wind? Then go get a nice nutritious bite on that Golduck. Give it your biggest, strongest Leech Life!"

As the ghost floated off through the ice and timbers, Seymour refocused on what had been going on while he healed Corium. The ice was beginning to be an issue. Since Jakey's pokemon were still attacking their enemies, and now Corium was on its way to help, Seymour felt justified in redirecting Rampage's wrath once again. "Rampage, you are rocking it right now! But take a quick break - a brick break - and smash out the ice in this doorway, would you?"

Consider those 4 favor points spent!

Sending in Corium to use Spite on Icy wind, then Leech life on the Golduck. The spooky bug deserves a healthy treat.
I'll have Rampage try using Brick break to try and clear out some of the ice buildup.

Edit: adjusted Corium's attack a bit
