Roarac

Roarac is a strange mix as you look at it. It seems really small area-wise, no more than a small village. Yet most of the buildings are small towers, with few having less than six floor, and a few reaching probably a dozen. The population must be much bigger than you first expected.

As you walk down the street, Cary stops to read a poster. "Oh... that can't be good..."

ATTENTION, CITIZEN OR ROARAC.

Resolution 48.3a will place on the ballot this October 8. All citizens are expected to vote via phone or in-person ballot before 2000 hour.

As a reminder:

Resolution 48.3a: Censure of Military Training promoting Colonialist Racism.

The rest of the poster describes the potentially racist connotations of the local gym challenge, and whether it should be ended or modified.

Jake scratches his head at the poster. He could make out quite a few of the words, but it didn't quite all make sense to him. Of course, even if he did read well, he still might be a bit confused,
"What's not good about that? Its just a piece of paper, right?"

Roarac

Seymour thought the look of Roarac city was fitting. It reminded him of a cluster of termite mounds, tying into the bug theme of their gym. However, he didn't have a lot of time to appreciate it before reading the notice.

"Colonialist racism? Should we be worried as foreigners, Cary?" On the one hand, the fact they were addressing potential colonialist racism was a good sign. But on the other hand, if there was significant opposition to it, it could mean he and Jakey might not be welcomed with open arms.

"You? Nah... not in the way you're thinking, at least." Cary sighs. "It looks like some people are objecting the gym challenge, though. If they have to change it, they probably won't need as many bugs as they do now..."

He turns to Jake. "That paper is an official message from the town's council. This town decided to have a full municipal democracy, where everyone is expected to vote on new laws for the city. And it looks like they want to vote on wether the gym challenge should be allowed to continue."

"I guess the best place to have all of our uncertainties answered then, would be at the gym. I sure hope we can still earn our badges. Maybe we will have to be the experimental group for a new type of challenge though. Hmm." Seymour wasn't sure if that would be a good thing or a bad thing. Either way though, he looked for where the gym might be. But if it wasn't obvious, he would simply ask Cary.
