"Greetings, all. I'm fixing myself a martini, would you like me to fix you a drink as well? What's your pleasure?"

"Thanks Jack, and welcome to the game Sam."

Walks into the lounge, trying to look like he belonged in his worn slacks and threadbare jacket.
"I'm not much of a drinker, so maybe a mixed drink of some sort?
Can you make a Cosmopolitan?"
Then he looked nervous
"Wait...this isn't a cash bar, is it?"

Jack thought for a second. (Cosmopolitans came out in 1934, a bit after Jack's time.) "Hello Sam, welcome to the party! Cosmopolitan? That's a new one on me. If you know the recipe, I'm sure we can make them to your satisfaction. No, it's an open bar, we try to keep things well stocked to cater to everyone's taste. What's your story?"

Sam frowned in thought, and shrugged.
"Well, it's been I while since I pretended to be a bartender, but I think it has Vodka, Cranberry Juice, Orange Liqueur, and Lime juice.  Though I forget which amounts exactly."
Then he smiled.
"Of course, if it's an open bar, I can just experiment and make my own!"
He went to the bar and started gathering ingredients, as well as opening a bag of pretzels.

I'm going to head to bed now and give Sam a chance to adjust. Ha!

I go to Wiley's Comedy Club in Dayton, Ohio. There is a Super Dope Comedy Show on. Usually, Sunday nights are open mics but they have a special program on.

I try to promote as many local comedy shows as possible and I'm kinda their collective support system/fan. My retirement hobby. Ha!

So, there's no specific comic tonight?

We see a few comics in either Houston or Austin.  I always enjoy it

It's mostly local comics, but we get a lot of people from Cinci, Columbus and Indianapolis areas. Dayton is loaded with comedic talent.

Thursday thru Saturdays is when the touring comedians come in. Sundays is usually locals. I've been blessed with seeing many of them performing for their first time and growing over the last 10 years. I'm proud of the talent Dayton has to offer. Many of them tour to open and feature for national comedians. Occasionally some will make it to become the touring comedians. Some have moved to NY, Chicago, or LA.

It's definitely a fun hobby.

I'm obsessed with Stand up Comedy.  I listen to routines on Sirius radio all the time.  I usually have a stand up quote for nearly every occasion    :)

I'm happy you had fun with it.
