The Red Shadows

A Pack of youthful Uratha who all hail from different walks of life came together as a result  of circumstances that were far beyond them at the time. The Forsaken who had ruled the territory of New York City for nearly half a century had caught wind of a massive invasion by their Pure rivals. During the subsequent conflict the three founding members of the Red Shadows banded together during the brutal fighting earning a reputation for their fierce fighting and clever tactics.

Even as the embers of the War Against the Pure cooled the casualties on each side were steep leaving territory within the city unclaimed and more importantly unguarded. In the days and weeks that followed the Red Shadows would encounter foes that simply waited for the scent of weakness. The Tyrant Wolf Merkulov who ruled a network of gun runners and criminal, the Wound born Spirit Eblix, the elder Rat Host known as the Red Minister, and the Devourer Zou Wuhan were among the Packs prey.

During their Hunts they were watched by the Spirit they freed from Pure captivity known as Iron Eagle, the paradoxical Spirit would go on to join the Pack as it’s Totem while the Storm Lord Julian Rose would join as the only survivor of the Red Minister’s predations. Likewise the Blood Talon Mason Holden aligned with and then joined the Pack in their hunt for the Devourer Zou Wuhan.

In freeing Zou from his bondage to his uncle Yao Wuying a sequence of events began that would see the Red Shadows gain new kin and a violent battle.

While the Red Shadows were committed to their battles a Cabal of exuberant Mages found themselves caught up in a Mystery that was greater then any individual Awakened. The Sorcerers Blight, an affliction that seems to haunt the soul and taint the area with the capacity of bleeding between the Fallen World and the Shadow, twisting the Spell Work of the Awakened in unknowable ways.

Their investigation revealed the Followers of the Shining One a cult comprised mostly of Sleepers who knew far more about the Supernal then they should. Since encountering this cult the Cabal has been harried by the Scelesti on several occasions indicating that they are manipulating these misguided Sleepers.

The pinnacle of this investigation so far has resulted in a rudimentary understanding of the Sorcerers Blight and more importantly an Artifact that seemed to be manipulated by Azothic Alchemy into a device dubbed the Pyros Furnace. The device itself seemed to be just a cog in a greater work and thanks to the Cabal in the safe hands of the Mysterium.

This lead the Cabal to Yao’s home recently the battlefield of the Red Shadows which revealed the gangster as a Follower of the Shining One. With no choice the Cabal reaches out and made contact with the Red Shadows in search of Yao and possibly answers.

Before to much could be discussed Yao and his allies struck out with a three pronged attack hoping to tie up all loose ends and settle the score with the Red Shadows. Together the Red Shadows and their allied defeated the invaders in what others called the One Day War.

Pleased by the performance of the Awakened and drawn to their contrasting nature with the Forsaken Iron Eagle has pushed for the Mages to be made members of the Pack.
As the corruption hidden in the city still lingers like a silent killer waiting to strike and it seems only the Red Shadows and their allies have a sense of it.

Long Term Nimbus: Starts to affect the perception of those around him, peeling back of bit of what is hidden to sleepers giving them a sense of emotion from plant life or give an eerie feeling of a nearby spirit that might give them a sense of déjà vu
Immediate Nimbus: (Altered to be more in line with my path) Object’s that are nearby Thoth or where he has cast is spell appear rejuvenate. Old wood objects look as though they were just carved from a fallen tree, nearby metal regains its shine and luster, and the air and around feels fresh and crisp.

Nimbus
Long Term Nimbus: People around Kinsey tend to feel momentarily nervous, as if they’re unsure if they want to push him around or ask him on a date. The feeling passes in a moment, but it seems to happen each time someone meets him that day.

Immediate Nimbus: As his nimbus flares, his shadow shifts and changes, even if there is no light source. His shadow acts like a window, reflecting endless forests, cloaked in mist and shadow. There is a scent of sex, blood, or both in the air, paired with the sounds of either a fight, orgy or both. Peripheral vision plays tricks on onlookers, making it seem like shadows are ready to come through the ‘window’, but are never visible when actively looking. An incredible change in air pressure makes the person(s) present feel like the window is about to burst open and let whatever bacchanal, deadly affair come into the mortal realm.

Signature Nimbus: Objects or places tainted with the imprint of his nimbus instill an unhealthy curiosity and fear – almost like someone seeing a place or object as stained with being used by other people for a sexual purpose, but being oddly tempted to use it or be present to do the same.

Nimbus Tilt: -1 to Resolve, Composure, and Strength; The feelings of fear, arousal play in the minds of those affected, making them freeze up with conflicting feelings of fleeing or joining in on the invisible blood orgy

Hunters Aspect
The Mystic Aspect. When successful, it offers the Mystified Condition.
The prey might not see spirits clearly, but it hears them and senses them. The target of the hunt shies away from areas with spiritual resonance, falls back on superstition, and finds his own senses betraying him. Used on a spirit, this has much the same effect, except the spirit senses the material world instead.

Auspice Benefit
Spirit Howl: A werewolf has a place in the spirit ecology. For the most part, the place they occupy is that of “dominant predator,” and with some effort, an Ithaeur can claim that position. Once per chapter, the character can let out a howl that, while silent in the Flesh, reverberates through the Shadow. Spirits of lower Rank than the werewolf flee the area, hide, or go dormant, while more powerful spirits avoid the werewolf out of deference. Spirits that are actively allied with the werewolf’s pack or tribal totem might even come to his aid, though the Ithaeur shouldn’t ever count on that. Only spirits that are outright hostile to the pack do not show deference, though their Defense is penalized by the werewolf’s Wisdom Renown. This howl does not require a roll, but does require the player to spend a point of Essence.
