So far so good, I expect to open for recruitment tomorrow or Monday. Still missing an application from Milly, but the two of you are here and can proceed with updating.

All sheets opened and now at four players.
Please make time to upload, and establish sheets as soon as possible this week.
Once done, advise with me.
I reckon we could get rolling as soon as possible.

Greetings fellow travels, I'll be here to repair your weapons and armour, for a fee of course, maybe even discounted if your lucky.

Welcome Etain, I'm taking it your character is from outside the empire seeing the mentions of different culture? Should be interesting, looking forward to asking questions IC.

That's cool. Summing up what an average empire citizen would know of albion... In this timeline the gw event campaign for albion happened as normal, the top 2 campaign winners were high elves and dark elves, and the empire came in 3rd place.

One of the final story blurbs went something like this: "Progress has been slow and strenous, having to fight against both foreign powers and the blighted land itself but despite all adversity the children of Sigmar managed to found a permanent colony and news  and exotic goods continue to make their way back to the homeland."

So tldr, us empire normies might have heard of albion but wouldn't be able to recognize what a native from there looks like, or might even just be ignorant that the island was inhabited to begin with.

I think from my pcs perspective he will assume you're a lustrian amazon (he would definitely have heard about those) until he gets corrected.

She would be way too pale to be lustrian.

Question, how will you be handling trade skills and the cost of materials/crafting items?

@ Etain
True but my pc wouldn't know that! So seems like something to be clarified IC.

Noticed we have a thread opened, does this mean the game has started and we should make an intro post or we still in the assembling stage? In which case I request the character sheet section be opened so can paste stats and everything.

Sorry for the delay in response!
Hello all!

Firstly, the IC thread is open, basically allowing for opening the world and setting the initial stage.

Secondly, crafting is..well..tricky.
It can be made silly easy(roll a check, have mats, if you make it, you have it) or you can have something like this: http://sherohman.org/~dave/rpg...whprclst.txt...which is almost too immersive to be enjoyable.
Personally I am somewhat fond of the middleground for ease:
http://www.liberfanatica.net/wfrp_advanced_skills.pdf using the rules under TRADE, and adhering to this.

And how much would material be for tests, I.e. I wanted to make a hand weapon how much would the steel and other materials be.

Again, fair question.
Assuming the size of Altdorf you could likely pending size and stature of the blacksmith have a stable provider of materials, from  a larger trading company or similar.
That means prices for materials could fluxtuate between 30% of listed price upto 50% of the finished products price(average price as per rulebook).

I would argue that for ease and given the size of the smith, you could look at roughly 25% of the total cost, per test.

On the roughly higher end of what I've seen, sounds good, I'll try to RP getting materials in game for some flair.

Also, Gerhart our quiet friend what maychance are you playing.

Re: OoC - Out of Character Thread

Allright got the ball rolling with a basic post.

Just realized that the game info doesn't mention anything about past antics or the war against chaos, which might have confused Etain a bit when I bought it up previously.
But basically for disclosure sake's, me and milly and gerhart were in another game with the same dm before this, it had been ongoing for many years (remarkable for an rpol game tbh) and we 3 joined up at the very end of it and played together for a brief few months. Due to us having 0 connection to the plot threads that had pushing the game forwards, it was decided we might aswell just start a new game entirely.

So unless dm says otherwise, am treating this game as a continuation of the old one. Which means that we are still living in the storms of chaos setting: aka the one where archaon got his arse kicked outside altdorf by grimgor ironhide. This is a timeline where the warhammer world didn't get nuked so is best timeline :) But it's also why my pc might bring up hochland and hergig being devastated and why he sends money back home to help rebuild it. Of course Etain being from Albion might not know (or care) about any of this.

It also means that my pc will of course recognize milly and gerhart, I'll consider the old business in the previous game got concluded in that we ended up arresting the dude and preventing their plot from happening. Any more then that is beyond my concerns as a humble merc, will assume the witch hunters ended up taking over.

You raise a viable point Jareik.
