Re: OoC - Out of Character Thread

10:37, Today: Jareik Schneider rolled 71 -- 2 degrees of failure using the Warhammer Test system with a target number of 49.  ck empire.

Failure but cmon, just woke up abruptly so ain't in the best shape for a pop quizz.

Oh, I'm not gonna attack him Jareik, just trying to show him my...displeasure.

Re: OoC - Out of Character Thread

Let's just say if you do decide to do something rash, I might be inclined to look the other way as the man is clearly a vampire trying to suck us dry for all we are worth.

Had to check back to see how much we were paid to begin, thankfully we were given a very generous sum of 40 gold before we left but damnit if everything in the village costs us an arm and a leg like this we will be returning to altdorf in just our briefs and knickers.

I don't have my books at the moment, and maybe I've been playing too much D&D 5e lately, but is there a skill like...Insight, to see how on the level this innkeeper is?

My bad, misinterpreted this line "Jareik notices a few familiar faces outside, and saw them shunned in equal measures." Editing for logical consistency.

Re: OoC - Out of Character Thread

Allright so whilst Etain and Marie are doing their thing, me and milly are taking a tour of the village to identify places of interest as well as houses suspiciously more ostentatious then others that might be a clue that however lives there is important.

I'm assuming Sleeping Beauty in warhammer is more or less the same except brettonian so replace the prince with a knight errant.

I'll be totally honest, I'm a little lost as what to do/where to go from here.

Re: OoC - Out of Character Thread

Here's what I feel are our current options:

1) Ask around at shops. Yes that didn't go well at the inn but we have a name now, Juno. That's bound to get a reaction good or bad.

2) Check out shrine. Our missing man was an archaelogist interested in history and this is the only sort of place in the immediate vicinity that fits his area of interest.

3) Wait on man to wake up/shake him awake so he can give us more then a name.

If I were to help, yes, these places are likely your best bets, and I would advise at least attempting them...

Re: OoC - Out of Character Thread

My pc believes 20% of priests story at best so Ic would be tempted to keep asking around but then that would split the party and potentially be annoying so let's play it safe:

Going with 3) it seems, waiting on priest to wake up and make sure no one kills him when our back is turned. Hope one of our pcs has a card game or some way to pass the time!

We can then try 1) or 2)

Going to argue for another round, since the dude is distracted with my annoyed pc it's the perfect time to snoop around or check out the altar or w/e for those are inclined to do so. If not, seems we have a new arrival for those who noticed him.

Yeah would be surprised if no one disagrees with Jareik here, will make for a quick campaign though.
So you discover an evil cult performing an arcane ritual to summon an unspeakable horror who would threaten all that is good and true, what do you do brave adventurers?
Go get the proper authorities and let them deal with this!

Nice Social realistic approach to the game.
Actually it is fine, a good game should account for all that happens and adapt, as that will happen here aswell.
