With their shift over and others dining, Teala had gone to the Starboard Holodeck to being the simulation she hoped to show Alex.  Most were familiar with the Orion Syndicate and its less savory elements, just as most were familiar with the beguiling beauty of the Orion women and the brutish strength of its men.  Most were not familiar with the beauty of Vondem, the Orion homeworld and it was that which Teala had hoped to show Alex.  For despite everything that had happened and been done to her, part of Teala still loved her home.

Due to exotic mineral elements in its crust, Vondem was known for its odd gravitational fluctuations, most notable the Air-chipelagos in its Southern Hemisphere.  Mawhrin was one such, home those Orion wealthy or powerful enough to afford it.  Teala had never been - perish the thought one such as she set foot on it - yet its spectacular view could not be denied.
