Alex will send out a shipwide communication to all crew members. He'll hold a group debrief to those impacted by the incident. Offering two sessions to capture all the shifts that dealt with the fallout. As Alpha and Beta shift were the most impacted, Alex will make the times suitable for that.

He'll also let all crew know that he is available for one-on-one sessions for any crew needing it.

Subject: Regarding a medical debrief of the incident on star date (48161.09)

All,

I will be hosting open share groups for the incident to allow anyone to come and share their concerns and feelings about the incident and the impact to them and their fellow crew members.

Open 1 hour before the end of Alpha Shift (1500-1600) and Beginning of Beta shift (1600-1700)

There is also opportunity to schedule one-on-one counseling sessions with myself as a Star Fleet certified Psychiatrist.

Remember, your health and mental well-being matters.

Alex dutifully waits for any Beta shift crew to show up for the first hour and then waited for the Alpha shift crew for the last hour.

He has some snacks and drinks out on a table and some chairs gathered around for some interaction.

Skipping a day after the incident, but on the following day Jessica went looking to check up on teala. First, she checked into the officer's status and then went to check the officer's room. She knew she could just ask the computer for the orion's location, yet she didn't dare. Something about walking to Teala's room and hoping to see her there gave her courage to check.

It was the engineer's lunch, she had some time, but she intentionally chose that time so she would have a reason to leave quickly after.

Naturally, she hesitated for a few minutes, standing outside the MedBay doors, before finally initiating the door so that it would open to permit her access... also signaling her arrival.

"Hello?" Jessica spoke out quietly, dipping her head in the room before her body followed. Her eyes scanned the room.

Jessica would see Dr. Dupont at his desk and nurse Lockhart doing some work at a terminal. Otherwise MedBay is currently empty.


Both Dr. Dupont and Nurse Lockhart would hear the door and see Jessica. Seeing nothing obviously urgent, Dr. Dupont goes back to his work. Knowing that the nurse would triage and escalate if he was needed.

Nurse Lockhart approaches Jessica. With a gentle look and a lowered voice with the obviously timid female officer, "Hello Ms. Laurent, what can I assist you with today?"

Looking to the nurse, Jessica furrowed and raised her eyebrows "um, I'm looking for Leiutenant Commander Teala."

Nurse Lockhart nods, "Oh, I'm not at liberty to discuss specific patients, let's ask Dr. Dupont." Looking towards Alex and raising her voice to be heard clearly, "Dr. Dupont, we have an inquiry about Lieutenant Commander Teala from Ensign Laurent."



Alex would look up from the terminal, "Oh, hi Ensign Laurent." Stood up and came around, "I'm sorry to say that Lieutenant Commander Teala is currently recovering from the incident from a couple of days ago but she is not in a position to receive visitors at this time."

Recalling that Teala was responsible for Ensign Laurent's assignment here and they had some positive history, Alex added, "Would you like to leave a message for her?"

In reply to Alex Dupont (msg # 3):

The CISD was a bust for the Beta and Gamma shift. Alex hadn't really expected any participation. Too often crew didn't feel comfortable being vulnerable with others until something had brought them together. Alas, the impacted people were dealing with the crisis in their own manner.

Though from Alpha shift Kate did show up. (Side RP).

Alex cleaned up the food, packed away the table and went back to his quarters to get ready for his off-shift activities...
