STARDATE 48174.26 - Jouret IV

The display of the simulated test ended and Brenn spoke.  "As I said, we need actual test data now and Starfleet wanted observers present to verify the findings.  Two tests will be performed.   The first will require your ship to take one of the warheads to a designated test site where it will be placed on an derelict freighter via shuttlecraft and detonated so we can observe and record results.  If those are satisfactory, we will proceed to the next phase where a second warhead will be fitted to one of your Mark IV torpedoes and fired from your ship at another freighter of the same design so we can compare the two results.  For that reason, I will need your ships specifications so we can assure optimal distance and safety for your vessel."

"Commander, my Padd is glitching. I cannot do an accurate comparison." As she keeps tapping the Padd trying to get it to restart or reset. Her frustration evident as time seems to be important.

Alex was more into medical than science.

He was more focused on observing the team and maybe the other staff. He barely glanced at the screens, trusting the team to handle their parts.

In reply to Your Loving GM (msg # 1):

"Very impressive.  Now lets hope the tests work as well as the simulation did."  Listening to what Dr. Brenn had to say, he nodded, "Safety is certainly the utmost importance.  Chief Blatt, along with Commander sh'Elliaph, can look over the data and determine the proper distance for the safety of the ship.  You've certainly have more inportant things to consider."

Kate, for the most part, remained quiet during the exchange but put on a pleasant smile.  Thinking about her loving wife to make the smile more natural than a forced one,

Jason didn't comment about what Dr. Brenn said but did go over to Thani when she started to have issues with her padd. "Here, let me see it." He held his hand out.

He was standing very close to the Andorian and lowered his head slightly, his back turned to most of the room while studying the issue with the padd.

She nods to Jason to acknowledge him, "Thanks for checking the Padd." She looks to Dr. Brenn, "Can you transmit the data to my Padd Dr. Brenn, I'd love to review your findings."

Assuming she can review now she's now aware of possible deception, she's going to review with more scrutiny.

He nodded to Thani. "You're welcome."

Jason moved back at that point to stand off to the side and behind Kate, appearing to guard her back. As the diplomat she might just have to get use to him being there.

Listening intently to everyting being said, totally to any subterfuge that might be going on, he looked at the Andorian, Blatt nods, "Yes, Commander sh'Elliaph and I will take great care in going over the specifications making sure everything and everyone is safe."

"Oh, it's no trouble at all and I'd feel better if I could cross-correlate your findings with my own," Brenn replied to Geary's remark, attempting to be diplomatic in the face of unexpected resistance and unaccustomed to being told no. "We only have the two functional prototypes and I want to show Starfleet the most accurate results as soon as possible.  I'm sure you can appreciate my position."

STARDATE 48174.26 - Jouret IV

In reply to Your Loving GM (msg # 13):

Jason tilted his head slightly at Kate before whispering back.

He perked up at what Brenn said. There was currently two functional prototypes. Did that mean there were more at some point? "Doctor Brenn, where are these prototypes being held right now?"

He was curious to see how secure they were and studying the Doctor like a hawk. "I would like to see them, if you please." That was almost a demand, but he had reasons to make sure these were secure and not a danger to the ship crew.

"Dr. Brenn, I do understand your position." Geary stopped and studied the situation a bit. "I assume that Starfleet did give you specifications in order for you to build the prototypes for this test.  If there are other specifications required that I am not aware of, I can always inquire with Capain Greene and another one of our engineers, Commander Laurent for a better course of action."

In reply to Decker Geary (msg # 16):

"Well, of course Starfleet gave me the specification for a Mark IV photon torpedo," Brenn said with a scowl, "but I can't conduct a proper test without..."  He grunted in frustration and waved his hand dismissively.  "Do as you wish.  I will simply note this in my report to Starfleet."

His attention turned to the man who had also had spoken.  Introductions hadn't been made and Breen hadn't really care then or now.  Brenn was about to ask Jason who he was, but no longer had the patience.  "Ru'Gal, show the Ensign the prototypes so he can be satisfied they're not fakes."
