STARDATE 48174.29 - Jouret IV Station
Apparently this is a collaborative effort from Alex and Thani:
Alex badge comms to commander Geary, "Sir, from a joint assessment with sh'Elliaph, it appears the detonation was not the quantum portion of the warhead. I'm not a radiation expert, but it looks like the radiation levels have been adjusted to be lethal to Takaran physiology. Something adjusted the explosion levels to be less thermodynamic and increased the radiation dose. sh'Elliaph believes the systems going crazy was from an EMP."
OOC:
a) The "quantum" part of the warhead definitely didn't detonate on the station. Now that Thani knew what she was looking for, there's zero evidence of the micro-singularity involved or the signature radiation effects.
b) If you didn't know any better, the radiation curve seemed tweaked to account for the Takarans' deaths. Not that you want to go standing in the middle of an explosion if you can avoid it, but the blast seemed lower on the thermodynamic end and more on the radiation end. Just as the lethal to the average humanoid, but accounting for Takaran physiology.
c) Thani will also theorize that the radiation/pulse might be the reason all the systems went boink the first time. Anything in close proximity would be fried. (like an EMP pulse)
Does anyone else start to think Dr. Brenn is the mastermind behind this sabotage? He's the chief designer, has an obvious dislike of the Federation, withholding information, and has absolutely no fear about his life. I think he masterminded the interactions with the Klingons of the Duras house so he escapes blame, gives his research to the enemy and nobody the wiser. But hey, that's just my scooby doo opinion.
