The USS Mihoshi: MedBay
Jessica hadnt waited to see what Naoko did, she was out the door and down the hall by the time the other engineer was stopped. She didnt immediately respond to Thani, her mind reeling from the situation, but the question floated in her mind until they got to the lift. As they stepped in, it was here Jess noticed an absence of Naoko, shed pause long enough to make sure she checked the hall and room for the other engineer before pushing the button to move to the level with the warp core. Main priority was stabilizing that.
Finally, as the lift begins moving, she turns to Thani "If we can find some way to manually slow the Warp core without compromising it then we may need to do that to stall our situation while we tackle this program. Yet, all I've got swimming in my head are stall tactics for the program, I have an image of the system we can use to reset from... ensuring no latent remains of the code are embedded but that will require a full shut down of the ship and time to restore everything system by system. If we can get behind the program some other way, it would be more ideal but time is not on our side right now." It was almost liberating for the engineer to actually speak her thoughts, everything was short and critical in Medbay, racing against time to prevent deaths and figure out exactly what was going on... this moment was almost a lull, they at least had the moment, and speaking almost gave the petite young officer a woosh of tingles and release as the tension flowed from her body into her words.
She's been a step behind this whole time, even behind her engineering team, and it compounded her emotions. It was so bad she was actually sweating, had she been tensing up the whole time? finally relaxing a little, she could actually feel it through her body.
Making a point to take in a deep breath, controlling the release in a slow exhale. If the science officer began to speak, Jessica would look over and listen to what was said.
