Actually this pace works fine for me, as opposed to the dungeon crawl game I am in where people are posting at a pace that rips us through multiple rooms in a day.

It's an old school dungeon crawl through the module B4, I think. The Lost Pyramid. Uses OSRIC rules. It's an old school dungeon crawl. While I acknowledge that D&D combat can really bog down in PbP here on RPOL, I am shocked by the number of posts I have to catch up on when I bounce into the game. Luckily, I am a more or less ineffective Illusionist/Thief.

We're underground in an old mostly-automated (though with a few malfunctions here and there) supply depot, trying to get some supplies and stuff we need.

Something that sounds like a robot is coming our way... what its deal is, and whether it will be malfunctioning when it arrives, remains to be seen...

Orleon is using something he and I whipped up together-- basically a spellcaster, like from a Jack Vance Dying Earth book

Oh cool, got ya! I figured he was some sort of historian or antiquarian who "thought" he was a "real" spellcaster, but was just deluded while having quirky abilities to get by. :P

Maybe he can help with my goal of eventually rising to become the new Cosmic overlord for the setting! I can make him into my silver surfer and sic him on people and other planets. :P
