Re: [OOC] The Tavern

I spoke with Renee's previous player a little about what she was shooting for.

I think you are correct in that the lawful, logical, analytic exterior was something of a defensive response to an unusual and traumatic childhood.

How you want to go forward with all that I'll be interested to see!

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

Most of the issue has been time on my part.

After that, the next issue has been, target. lol What target is even left? lol

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

I honestly don't think anyone is paired up, necessarily.  Yer a hot paladin, oozing with charisma, you could have anyone you want!

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

In a realm of magic, easy birth control, and a wide variety of world viewpoints, pairing up is rather easy. Now in another game I’m part of a few characters are in group relationships with three being the average.

I’m up to post 156 in the first in game thread and wow. Renee definitely has a complex self worth issue.

I must say I’m loving the rich characters each of you have portrayed.

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

Well thanks Renee.

I'll agree that we've got a good collection of players here.

And looking forward to seeing more of what people bring to the table when things get more complicated.

Yes I agree as well.  I love loved all the interactions and the depth of the conversations.  It helps develop a better character.

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

Yeah its been fun, not only plotwise with the game, but in character interaction and RP, which is why I am here.  I have been wanting to play Erlin for a long time, and this seemed like the perfect sandbox for her to play in...

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

Yeah, the non-linear campaign format kind of opens things up a bit concept wise.

I am hoping we move on to Olegs today, can get our feet and head back out.

Maybe try our level 2 faculties against some Bandits...

You know, this got me thinking.

Now as a player I'm all for whatever consenting adults get up to in their private lives...

But our DM mentioning that he was a fan of CK3, made me wonder if this loose pseudo-medieval world feels the same way?

We obviously have the trappings of European Feudalism, but how far does that extend?

As characters could they cement alliances through political marriage? Found Houses? Are people going to be concerned with things like succession?

Depending on the system of government we potentially install of course, say a "traditional" Autocracy.

Or am I way overthinking this?

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

I don't think you are over-thinking it at all.  I believe at least from the computer game those things were all very apparent for what could happen.  Even though this is not a computer game but our roleplaying and as you said it feels a certain way I wouldn't see why it wouldn't be that way as well.

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

And if you think about the Pathfinder world of Galoran as a whole there is only maybe 1 or 2 none Autocratic (in some form (I place Theocracies here too for this purpose)) nations on the whole planet. Andoran is the first and only major one that comes to mind. So Feudal governments are the norm, with more tribal and Theocracies coming in next.

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

Yes Oleg's we are using that opportunity to do our training for the next level and a needed rest for Ursion.  We will then talk about what we want to do next.  I think we may try out the bandits again?

Olegs, and yeah, Ursion will likely advocate heading back out against more bandits.

Oleg's! Because it's our base of operations.

(Only a few more threads to read through, and then leveling up to 2)

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

Wow, well this is awkward...

Praguepride, you have already run this scene with this group. Back in August.

They have all already met Kesten, they have all already signed the Charter.

Now I know you are probably busy, you run a lot of games, and I appreciate you running this one. But this is exactly what Renee's previous player was talking about.

Basically running this game as literally a copy/paste of your others, with the individual characters actions not really meaning anything.

You had some great players who put a lot of effort into dedicated posting, creative writing and backstory, and I'm sorry to say that stuff like this is why you have lost so many of them.

I don't mean to seem rude, I know text is a rough medium. So please don't think I'm trying to be impolite, but you kind of pitched this game as one where there would be a lot of interaction with NPC's, politics, etc.

But I get the impression that you are not even really reading your own games.

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

I figured new guard, no big deal, rotations... But yeah, I'm glad you mentioned that Ursion cause that means I'm not going crazy. I was about to have Renee mention a feeling of Deja vu. Maybe we've ended up in some weird time loop curse.

Cause, yes, I read the exact same scene previously, and former Renee and the group took up the offer of land and a kingdom.

I mean, we did enter the magic fog, so maybe we had a vision and are still trapped in the blasted fog!!!

I'm going to wait for the GM to respond so my Renee post makes sense based upon what the PCs know.

a) We already did this and something is horribly wrong!
b) Major whoopsie on the GM, and we nix the interaction with Kesten

Re: [OOC] The Tavern

Bill Murray?! Oh no! He's both immortal and a ZOMBIE...

Wait, he was able to learn valuable life skills. Hmm... We could level up to 20th and really take charge of the kingdom! Yes!
